Sherlock - season 4

The abominable bride - missing

The six Thatchers
Mycroft manipulated the video recording so it looks like Sherlock did not kill Magnussen.
Sherlock “That’s not what happened at all”
Mycroft “It is now.”
Sherlock keeps saying that Moriarty is dead, but he’s sure that he planned something long term, something elaborate, and that he only has to wait for it.
There’s the old story of Samara (Samarcanda), then he goes back to his old life, solving crimes with John and a very pregnant Mary, until John sees 59 missed calls, and they hurry to take Mary to the hospital. A baby daughter, and they ask Molly to be the godmother and Sherlock the godfather. Name Rosamund Mary. Sherlock never stops texting  *rollingeyes
John meets a nice looking, smiling woman on the bus.
Greg brings them a new case, a boy called his parents saying he was in Tibet but he was then found dead in the car outside the house. He solves the case right away, an unfortunate accident trying to surprise his father, but he is bothered by the fact that a bust of Margareth Thatcher is missing, because it was broken after a break-in.
Woman: “he’s quite mad” or something like that
John “No, he’s an arsehole, but it’s an easy mistake”   …
Sherlock shows Mycroft a picture of the baby: “fully functioning” is the best Mycroft can come up with   I love the brothers’ interactions.
John uses a balloon as a me-substitute, so he can go do something else, knowing he’s not really needed in the room… until Greg brings in another smashed bust, so Sherlock finds out there were six made like that, and tracks down the last one. He called Mary because as an ex secret agent she’s better than John   with the help of Toby the dog first, who brings them to a market, then other busts are broken and he stands guard at the house of the next target. When a guy arrives to get the last bust, Sherlock thinks he got everything, and that a stolen pearl is hidden in it. They fight then the guy tells him he got it all wrong, the guy doesn’t know about Moriarty, and there isn’t the black pearl inside the bust, instead there is a pendrive that is identical to the one Mary gave John and he burned, the one with all the data of who she was. The guy says she betrayed them and he wants her dead. He escapes.
“tell her she’s a dead woman, she’s a dead woman walking”
“she’s my friend, and she’s under my protection”
Six years ago, in Georgia, Mary and her group rescued an ambassador but they were betrayed and everyone died but Mary and, apparently, this one guy. He got tortured and heard them talking of the British woman who betrayed.
Sherlock tells her everything, and she tells him the story of Georgia, (Alex, Gabriel, AJ and her, so her real name started with R), and she’s very surprised to hear that someone survived, AJ, and she’s quite happy, she says they were like family, counting only on each other, but also shocked that he thinks she betrayed them. He promises her that he’ll keep her safe, so she drugs him to make him sleep and runs away, going into hiding, moving constantly throwing dices to decide her next move so that he could not find her, but he does anyway :-p in Marocco, because he put a tracker on her, in the memory stick, John’s idea. He made a vow to keep her safe, and he’s very sure that he’ll do just that! She’s actually Rosamund Mary, and John is quite pissed at all the lies (not only hers…). She wanted to keep John and little Rosy safe, but Sherlock insists he’ll keep her safe. but AJ attacks and gets killed by a cop. He got tortured for years, and heard them talk. They said Amo (not Ammo) and talked about an English woman who betrayed, so Mycroft questions the woman that was at Sherlock’s hearing, because her code name was Love.
We see that the woman on the bus gave John her phone number, and he kept it, and texted her.
He’s about to tell Mary that he’s not that perfect when Sherlock texts them to go to the acquarium, but he stays behind waiting for Molly to babysit. Sherlock realised the truth remembering some words Mary said, that receptionists know everything.
The secretary at the hearing was Amo, and the hostage ambassador found out things about her so she betrayed them to get them all killed, hostages and the Agra group. Sherlock is quite cocky, and she shoots him, but Mary gets in the way to save him and gets shot instead.
John gets there but they can only say goodbye, she says words of love to John and Sherlock and then dies. Sherlock is shocked, but John is devastated and angry: “you made a vow, you swore!”
Sherlock asks Mrs Hudson to say the word Norbury (the murderer’s name) whenever he becomes too full of himself. They find a dvd with Mary’s last message, she wants Sherlock to do something for her. Save John.

The lying detective
It starts with John seeing a new therapist, but not telling her the truth. He sent Rosy to friends, can’t look after her, but he can’t accept the therapist empty words, and I understand him there. She speaks about Sherlock when a car stops outside, and then the flashback starts. A rich man called Smith tells a very hard secret to his friends, but he also drugs them so that they will forget all about it, included his daughter. Before she forgets, feeling weird, she tries to write it down, but he sees her and takes away the piece of paper. We then see a woman seeking Sherlock’s help, saying that her father told them that he wanted to kill someone, but doesn’t know who.
He’s shacking, has a beard, and can’t reason properly. He’s high on drugs, but before she leaves he runs back to her, thinking she’s suicidal. She says that her life changed because of one word, the name of the victim, but names are two words, so he thinks the man said “anyone”, that he’s a seria killer who doesn’t care who but wants to kill someone, anyone.
Back to the beginning, in the red car there was Mrs Hudson, saying that Sherlock went mad and she needs his help. Mycroft calls the police off her, and she tells John of Sherlock’s obsession with Mr Smith, and cries asking to look at him, and she has Sherlock in the truck of her car.
As the widow of a drug dealer, she has lots of money and a red Aston Martin too :-p
Mr Smith calls John for an appointment, Sherlock gave him that address two weeks ago. He says that he’s falling and burning but his brain is still working and that he’s right about Mr Smith, he’s a monster, but he can’t do it alone. John wants Molly to exhamine him, and she knocks on the door.
Sherlock has been telling that Mr Smith is a serial killer and the man is using that for publicity. The man taunts him, saying that he only knows the ones that were stupid enough to be caught. Fame and money make some people untouchable, and some are smart enough to not get caught. He hints that he found a hospital to kill people. Sherlock says he called Faith, his daughter, but when she comes she’s not the woman Sherlock saw and he’s confused and high. There never was a woman with him???
John beat him to save Smith and Sherlock says he can do it because he killed his wife, and John agrees. Sherlock is now in Smith’s hospital. Mycroft searches Sherlock’s apartment, and Mrs Hudson laughs because anyone who kows Sherlock would find out what’s on his mind right away, and they find Mary’s video stabbed by a knife (well, the envelope, the dvd is fine and she watches it with John).
Mary told Sherlock that he must save John, but John won’t allow him that, but he will act if Sherlock’s life is in danger, he will safe him if he thinks he’s in danger. John won’t accept help but he will always help others if needed. “go into hell and make it look like you mean it”, “put yourself in harm’s way” so John hurries to the hospital and stops the man from suffocating Sherlock.
The fake Faith thing is unclear, he says now he probably hallucinated her…
Before going away he tells Sherlock that he didn’t kill Mary, then they hear the noise of a text on Sherlock’s phone, the noise/moan of a text from Irene Adler. He still thought she was dead, but angrily tells him to text her back! He says he wouldn’t have gone to save him, until Mary told him to, she made him the man she thought he already was, then he says that he cheated on her, texting another woman. Nothing more happened, but he kinda wanted to, and still wants, and wants to be the man Mary thought he was. John finally cries his eyes out and Sherlock hugs him.
John found out from Mycroft’s slip of the tongue that there’s another Holmes somewhere. Sherlock finds the piece of paper fake-Faith gave him, so she was real. John is back at the therapist, but she knows of the secret Holmes, but John never told her. She says she met Holmes and they had chips (she was fake Faith), and she was also the woman on the bus that he texted.
She’s Euros, Sherlock’s secret sister. The ep ends when she shoots at John… (yeah, sure…)

The final problem
A girl on the plane is left alone, everyone’s dead, pilots included, and she’s scared.
Mycroft is watching an old noir (and smiling, knowing all the lines by heart…) when things happen and he’s scared she might be back, and when Sherlock appears he asks for help, but it was all Sherlock’s plan, experiment to know without a doubt that he has a secret sister. Incarcerated since a young age, but now out, since she shot John with a tranquilizer.
Mycroft goes to him and sits in the chair, and tells them of Euros. Mycroft monitored Sherlock growing up to check if he remembered her, looking out for him. Sever years from M and S, and one from S and Euros.
She was the smartest of them all, in a weird way. A true genius out of this world. She knew things she shouldn’t have, also was very weird, cutting herself out of curiosity, but she did more, she took away Sherlock’s dog Redbeard and probably drowned him, but they never found it, and then she started drawing a dead Sherlock and she set the house on fire, so she was taken away…  - ok, wait, Mycroft was a child too, who made the decision? Then Mycroft told his parents that she set another fire and died, but instead she was moved to a more secure location, Sherrinford, an island…again, when was this, was Mycroft old enough to be in charge? I’d say yes, since apparently it was his decision to lie. Anyway, moving on. (oh yes, it appears their uncle started it, and then he continued it.)
She sends a drone with a bomb that blows up their apartment, and they escape in three seconds.
Mycroft, Sherlock and John go there, sort of breaking in… well, John plays the pirate, Mycroft is disguised as an old sailor - and everyone sort of thinks it’s Sherlock at this point of course - while Sherlock is disguised as a guard, and you really don’t notice him until they tell you because they showed the guard very little and not really on focus…
So, Sherlock goes to meet Euros, walking all hunched down, and she’s playing the violin, but knows he’s there of course.
Mycroft is very angry, they talked with Euros despite he told them not to. She convinced a guard to kill his family and himself. She reprograms people who talk to her. The man in charge spoke to her too, so basically she’s in charge of the island. And she could get out because there is no glass in her cell, Sherlock didn’t see it but she was free all during their talk.
As a Christmas present, Mycroft let her talk to Moriarty for five minutes without supervision, five years ago, because she was very useful to the government, like she predicted three terrorist attacks after an hour on twitter.
Mycroft, Sherlock and John are taken prisoners and wake up in a cell with the director. They hear the voice of the little girl on the plane, then Euros plays games with them.
First, she has the director’s wife prisoner, and she orders them to kill the man or she’ll kill her, but neither of them can do it, so the guy begs them to do it, then he’ll do it. Sherlock chose Mycroft first, but he refuses to commit murder, then John, but he really can’t, even if the man begs him. The man kills himself, but since it wasn’t either John or Mycroft, she kills the woman anyway.
Second, she makes the solve a case. The suspects were three brothers and he has to chose the real culprit. He does, but she kills all three brothers anyway, seeing no difference between innocent and guilty.
Third, she says Molly’s flat will explode in three minutes unless Sherlock gets her to tell him “I love you”. First time she doesn’t answer, second time she does but it’s very difficult for her because “it’s true”, she says. She sort of cries, “why are you doing this to me” and “I’m not an experiment”, but at the end she says it. She makes him say it first, then she says it, with two seconds to spare. Then Euros tells him there was no bomb, he didn’t save her. “You didn’t win, you lost, look what you did to her, look what you did to yourself.”
Four, he has to chose one and kill the other. Mycroft starts saying that he’s family, and John says he’s right. Mycroft starts insulting Sherlock trying to make it easier for him, but Sherlock knows it, he knows Mycroft wants to make it easier for him to shoot his own brother. Now Mycroft tells them of the Christmas present, and tells him to shoot. Sherlock refuses and point it at his own head counting down from ten, but Euros doesn’t want him to die, and stops it.
They wake up alone. Sherlock is in a room and speaks to the girl on the plane - out for hours and she’s still on the plane???
John is in water, sort of down a well, and finds bones, and Sherlock thinks of redbeard.
They are not in Sherrinford anymore, but at Holmes old house where they grew up. Euros tells him to find Redbeard. “His very first case and the final problem.”
John finds a skull, and tells Sherlock the truth, Redbeard was never a dog, it was his friend, his child friend. They played pirates together. She wanted to play with Sherlock, and killed his friend.
She hid him under that well, and let him die.
“You killed my best friend.” She says she had no-one, and he solves the puzzle. He goes to her room, and it was her all along playing the little girl’s voice. She’s above them all and knows everything but how to land, and she’s lost, and he says he’s with her and hugs her.
He asks how to save John, and she tells him and the police take her away. Greg says Mycroft was left in an old cell, and Sherlock tells him to look after him because he’s not as strong as he thinks he is, and “thanks Greg.”
A policeman tells Greg that Sherlock is a great man, and he says “he’s better than that, he’s a good one,” and awwww it’s a circle with the very first episode!!! My heart…
The Holmes parents are angry to learn that she’s alive, and Mycroft tells them she’s locked up again, and they can’t talk to her, but Sherlock goes to play the violin for her, and she plays with him.
John finds another cd, and it’s Mary again - the first was named Miss Me to grab their attention, this one is called Miss You. “I know who you really are. A junkie who solves crimes to get high and the doctor who never came home from the war.”, and she tells him to go on with it, because they are many’s last resort, many people’s last hope.
We see that the Holmes parents are actually allowed to see Sherlock and Euros play violin together.
The end.
