Maldamore - 2014

Everybody screams so much, it was unbearable. Not funny at all, and definitely too loud, I really don’t see why they had to shout so much all the time. Also, I hate the ending, really hate it. The smirk on Marco’s face after making it clear that he’ll keep on cheating as always, but since he’s the man that’s supposed to be funny or good or something? I think it’s pathetic.
It’s the story of two couples:
Sandra is married to Paolo, and the only trouble in their relationship seems to be the fact that they don’t have children yet, as much as they try.
Paolo’s sister Veronica is married to Marco. They have a six-year-old daughter and Veronica is already having crisis feeling like she’s getting old. Veronica still uses a baby-monitor, so when the two men talk, close to the child’s room, the women can hear everything. Marco starts talking about how ‘they’ do it all the time, like horny teenagers, and Veronica thinks he’s just talking bullshit until she realises that he’s talking of another woman. He’s been having an affair, a few months now, and he presses Paolo to confess that he cheated too, although only once.
The women get angry. Paolo keeps saying that it was nothing, that his excuse is that they were having troubles, that he loves her and all that easy words, until she confesses that she cheated too, once. Things change, now. He apparently can’t let it go, keeps thinking about her with the other man (she won’t say who he is). She goes to her sister’s home.
Veronica throws Marco out of the house, she’s more than angry. The other woman is a 23-year-old girl...
Veronica and Sandra meet at a bar to talk, and Veronica starts drinking and yelling, embarrassing Sandra. When Sandra confesses, Veronica thinks it should be easier for them, since they are even :-/
Paolo can’t let it go, keeps thinking who the other man might be. Veronica meets Luigi, a young guy who likes her.
Marco’s girl Beba shows up at his workplace embarrassing him. She’s quite happy that he told his wife, and when they meet later she’s angry because he said that he didn’t stand his wife anymore and yet now he’s acting double-face. He keeps calling Veronica and telling sweet-words to Beba :-/ Marco says that he’s obsessed with sex and death, that it’s a natural thing and other crap like that.
Veronica keeps meeting Luigi who tells her that he likes her a lot and wants to see her again and gives her his number, hoping she’ll go out with him.
Paolo is having a hard time with a woman at work; they were together three years some time ago, and when he insists Sabrina admits that she cheated too. They talk about his situation and she says that maybe Sandra doesn’t want to say it because she’s protecting someone at work. Sandra’s coworker Antonio tells her that he’s in love with her (after she throws up in his car) and there’s a lot more yelling. Paolo goes to Sabrina’s house, and after a drink he kisses her and has sex with her.
After a lot of thinking and drinking and smoking, Veronica calls Luigi. She goes to his house, they eat and talk a lot, and it turns out he was the one who kept calling her house. She goes out but then she comes back and has sex with him.
Marco picks up a woman in a bar, Lidia. She’s been drinking more than him, then takes him to.. her office I think. She handcuffs him to a heater and then tries using a whip but he screams and she stops and starts crying and talking about her problems until she passes out. When Beba calls him he tells her to go to that address to help him. Obviously when she gets there she’s angry at him for the whole situation, so instead of freeing him she whips him a few times and makes a video with her phone. She asks for her house-keys before giving him the keys of the handcuffs.
Sandra locks herself out by mistake, and witnesses her neighbour Piero trying to kill himself. She convinces him to go back in and help her get back in the house. They talk all night then she faints.
He calls Paolo saying that Sandra is at the hospital. He runs there (making Sabrina angry of course), and it turns out that she’s pregnant.
Veronica sees Marco outside their home, and lets him go in because he’s in bad shape (stiff neck).
The scene moves to months later, after the baby’s born. We finally find out who was the other man in Sandra’s case: Luigi. He prays on women in a marital crisis.
Marco seems to be the same as always, still the same words, still going after younger women, and the movie ends like this, with his stupid smirk after a girl smiles at him, another one he had an affair with. Disgusting. They tell us that since he was young he was so afraid of death that at a funeral he concentrated on his aunt's legs and became obsessed with sex... :-/ 🙅🙅
