Agatha Christie's Poirot: The adventure of the Clapham cook

I loved it, at least two third of it, it was lots of fun seeing Poirot dismissing case after case because not enough important and then accepting the case of a missing cook  a client snapped at him because he was so full of himself he thought he was too important to work on such a case, so he changed his mind and accepted. He was furious when her husband later sent him a letter dismissing him  and he stayed on the case until the end. The cook, Eliza, had been approached by a man telling her about an inheritance, so she had obeyed him and left to take possession of her new house at once. Answering to Poirot’s ad in the paper, she writes him a letter and he goes to visit her right away, to find out her whole story. Poirot understands that a lodger in the house where she worked as a cook had killed a man and needed a way to get rid of the body, and wanted her used respectable trunk, so he found an excuse to keep her away. Poirot calls Japp and they stop the guy before he can embark for Venezuela. I kinda felt sorry for the poor woman, because she will soon find out that she doesn’t own anything after all, and that she has to go back to her old life...
