Fracchia la belva umana - 1981

 In the 80s and 90s it was hilarious, now of course it feels the passing of time. 

Fracchia is a character that is very similar to Fantozzi, of course, only he’s alone. He has basically the same character, and uses the phrase ‘how human you are’ a lot.

The movie starts with Fracchia doing a bit of running, then he has to go to work. He pays his maid, moves aside for old ladies, is patient with children. He works in a chocolate factory and is a real loser. 

A super-criminal called La Belva Umana, the Human Beast, looks exactly like him, so the police is after him. Fracchia is taken in while dining with his crush Miss Corvino. The same night he’s caught two more times, by different corps, and is given a pass so he’s not confused with the criminal anymore, but as he gets home the Human Beast is there and takes his pass off him.

Joined by three accomplices: Tino, Pera and Neuro he wants to rob a bank. Caught by the police, the beast shows his pass and is given a ride to the chocolate factory.

He acts quite differently from Fracchia, of course. He gets covered in chocolate because of a prank, and his face gets all red because he is allergic so he sends Fracchia to visit his mother.

After suffering her ‘care’, he has to go rob the bank. Auricchio goes to ask Fracchia’s collaboration into capturing the Beast, and speaks with the Beast instead.

The Beast goes along with the plan and convinces his mother to go to the hospital. Then he sends Fracchia to see her. While the police shoots at Fracchia, the Carabinieri see the Beast and they shoot at him. There’s a long chase and eventually both corps get their man… meaning both the Beast and Fracchia got killed. In the afterlife, the Beast has the pass so he goes up, while Fracchia goes down. How human you are! Com’è umano lei!
