Grandi magazzini - 1986

 It’s nothing, just an old thing full of silly little gags, like a peculiar way of cleaning the toilets or wrapping a bidet, lame jokes and semi-naked women.

The guy who cleaned the bathroom is mistaken for the son of the mall working under another name. Some people try to ingratiate themselves to him while another beats him up because the real son has a debt.

He ends up beaten and fired, until the real son comes back and hires him again, now that he’s paid his debts.

The manager is rather focused on work, but that night he asks his secretary out to dinner, after years of working together.

A guard is totally useless at his job, he makes a lot of noise but can never catch a thief.

A delivery guy has various misfortunes during his day ,so when a rich guy asks him to stay with him after his partner Domenico left him (and for a woman no less), he accepts and now he’s the one who receives deliveries.

A drunk actor who rarely works anymore accepts to shoot a commercial but then keeps changing his line or acting weird. He says it right only after, unknown to him, they had stopped filming. Thinking he’s done now, he apologises and offers champagne for all.

A guy wins 500.000 lire in goods, but he wants to find stuff for that amount, no more no less. A girl spends all day with him, and at the end she offers herself for the whole sum, to get it over with.

Two guys out of prison try to con the Mall, selling a robot who is actually one of them. He gets his finger chopped for this.

A guy is so in love with actress Ornella Muti that he wrote and sent her hundreds of letters. She comes to tell him to go back with his girl Luisa, who looks just like her.

A customer loses her contact lenses but wants no help from anyone, and spends the day trying to get out. She ends up sleeping in the bedroom department thinking she’s finally home.

Then a guy begging in the streets, making music and hiding that he misses a leg, to spread joy and not pity.
