It starts from where we left off, the video showing Mysterio accusing Spider Man of murdering him, and also revealing his true identity.
May and Happy broke up, poor guy’s been crying.
People now think Peter is a murderer, and the FBI takes him in for questioning, and May, MJ and Ned too. Ned’s not too bright.
The FBI also tells Peter that Fury’s been off planet all that time.

Matt Murdock is his lawyer (and they don’t know about him). They need a new place to live and Happy provides that. The people go crazy, half are fans while the others believe Mysterio.
Because of all that, Peter, MJ and Ned are all rejected from all the schools they applied to. Frustrated with the unfairness of it all, Peter goes to Doctor Strange’s house. Inside it’s full of snow :lol: Peter asks Stephen if he can go back in time and make it so Mysterio doesn’t reveal who he is, but he can’t, he doesn’t have the time stone anymore, but there is a spell that would make everyone forget. Everyone! But Peter wants some people to remember him. Strange starts casting without explaining beforehand, so he has to make changes midcasting, anyway, too late, the spell goes wild so Strange shuts it down.
Dr Octopus appears smashing cars, upset with Peter who has no idea who he is. They battle until Octopus uncovers Peter’s face and sees it’s not the same face.
Strange tells him now that it is because of the spell, it’s bringing to him people who do know that Peter is Spidey, from other universes. Strange wants Peter, MJ and Ned to find all these trespassers, his words are “please scooby-doo this shit”.
There’s Elektro and Flint Marko and the Green Goblin and Lizard Connors, but when they’re together they learn that they were all about to die right before they arrived in this universe. Strange says that it’s their fate to die and starts sending them back, but Peter interferes.
Strange fights him in the Mirror Dimension and Peter… wins, using geometry. He wants to change those guys before sending them back, so they won’t die fighting Spider-Man. He brings them all home, makes Octavius a new chip that works and now he has his help too.
The goblin takes charge, not wanting Norman to be freed of him. His words get to Max and they fight Peter. Even badly injured, May insists Peter did the right thing, saving them from death. It’s the “great responsibility” speech, then she dies. Happy arrives and is arrested, tells him to run, the police shoot him then he goes away.
Ned uses Strange’s ring to see Peter, and he brings in a different Peter Parker (2-Garfield), and then the other one (3-Tobey) and they all go to young Peter and the three Peter have a heart to heart, and then they work together to create cures for all of them. They cure Flint first, then Octavius helps them with Max, then they cure lizard Connors. Strange arrives to see that it’s working.
Green Goblin causes lots of trouble, Peter2 could not save his Gwen but now he can at least save this MJ. Peter3 stops Peter1 from killing the goblin to avenge May and gets stabbed, then Peter2 and Peter1 cure Norman.
Now it’s done, but Strange can’t hold the other trespassers from coming through for much longer, so Peter tells him to do the spell and make everyone forget who he is, and he does, regretfully, because he doesn’t like the idea of forgetting about him, but he has to.
(that was actually Strange’s nicest scene, really good)
It works of course.
Peter goes to introduce himself to MJ again, to make her remember like he promised, but then he sees that she got into MIT with Ned, they’re still friends, and he does not tell her.
He finds a small apartment and goes on being the neighbourhood Spider-Man.
There’s a scene about a guy asking about these weird heroes, and he has Venom inside, and then he just disappears. At the end of the credits, a preview of the next Dr Strange movie: real trouble with multiverse and reality.
