Terrible ending. 62 episodes for this? No. I’m not interested in a second series or a book or anything about this anymore. I thought it was nice, I love fantasy stories and Wang Duo (whose Huang Tuo is very pure here, the kindest character, so innocently silly and pure-hearted and deeply good) so I was willing to overlook details like the makeup or the story so similar to other things and its many plotholes, but such a horrible ending definitely ruined it. I liked the characters at first, I liked that there were many of them, that it was epic but funny too, sometimes intentionally sometimes not but funny nonetheless, and I enjoyed it at first. It became boring sometimes but there were also nice moments, until the last three episodes, where almost all the characters die. For nothing. Let's be honest, there was no need for this: all the tribes now only have a few people and no rulers, when all they had to do was: send a human guard against the demon, so when he hurts the mortal he loses his magic and all the good ones at this point can kill him before he regains his powers. Nobody would die and all the realms would be at peace! (One might say, which guard to sacrifice? but honestly in this show they don't care at all about anyone but the leads, the king even had two guards kill themselves in front of KaSuo simply to convince him not to go outside..)
It’s all about KaSuo, the main character. Since he became king he was so boring he was almost unbearable, like the many many flashbacks to the same scenes we’ve seen I don’t know how many times. At the end, only the three people he loved the most survive, all the others but one die. I hate that. I’ve seen the trailer of the second season, with the three main characters (KaSuo, Shi and LiLuo) and also YanDa, who knows how or why since she died too at the end of this series.
I’m not saying that I wanted them ALL to have happy endings, but to see so many characters die makes you feel like: is it for this that I watched 62 episodes? Really? No, unacceptable.
KaSuo is dead, LiLuo has been changed (at the end she simply walks around lady-like as the royalty she is), Huang Tuo and Yue Shen are dead (again, after following their story for so long I wanted a happier ending for them), and also the leader of the Bear Tribe, of the Sprite tribe and of the Mermaid tribe are dead, and also many others.
Basically the ending is: Shi is alive again and will find a way to bring KaSuo back to life. And who cares about all the others.
Sure, I love Wang Duo so I watched this mainly because he was in it so of course I wanted Tuo and Shen to have a happy ending, but it’s not just that, they didn’t just kill off his character, they killed so many that we had known for many episodes and were important to me. So many, as if they never meant anything, and at the end it’s all about KaSuo :-/ not a single word about all those who died. I hate this, and I’ll never watch this series again or its sequels.
I would have accepted it if Huang Tuo had died after Pian Feng, maybe to protect Yue Shen, I was ready for that, but no, they had to go this other way and simply kill everyone :/
I was already annoyed that the plot was now entirely based on the fact that nobody talked to each other, because if they had stopped keeping secrets for the sake of it (and had cut all the flashbacks to the same few scenes) this series would have been much shorter for sure! Mostly though I was annoyed that nobody understood that Lan Shang and Li Luo had been switched! You call that love? His Li Luo was strong, tough, funny, she was well trained, used weapons and fought bravely, cooked the fishes she caught herself, liked to drink with friends and ride her unicorn; now he was with a girl who liked princess dresses, make-up, couldn’t ride and couldn’t fight, couldn’t stand weapons and didn’t drink, and also hated the smell of cooked fish... and yet he never suspected anything !!!
Also, he's always described as having so much power and yet he's never able to do anything!
This big hero is stupid and mostly useless, and then at the end so many were killed for nothing, really.
Moving on, the effects were not really good but I understand that to make 62 episodes they had to make arrangements in the budget; the makeup was mostly terrible, they hurriedly glued some points to the ears of the gods-characters, the fire king looked like WonderWoman, stuff like that. The dresses were nice; I don’t like the Ice costumes, but others were really pretty. The evil laughs were ridiculous.
All the soldiers in this series are complete idiots, and nobody ever cares about their lives.
It’s not clear to me who is mortal and who isn’t: the Ice and Fire tribe members are all ‘gods’, meaning they have magic and live hundreds of years, and also the Mermaid tribe people, so I thought that all the tribe leaders were gods too since they have magic, but then why were they surprised when the Healer chief was not mortal?
The series should have ended either when Shi sacrificed his life to give his powers to Ka Suo (it would have been an epic ending, but I know it would not have ended the black-smoke-theme recurrent throughout the show) or when they all came back from the Divine Mountain place. They had defeated the evil boss and they had successfully made their wish to save Shi, LiLuo and LanShang, so it was an ending already, there was no need to add that extra bit.
Maybe Chinese people love a romantic death more than a romantic life, I don’t know, but I don’t, at least in fiction I like the good to win and the evil to lose, and good characters to find happiness while evil characters find defeat. That’s why I wanted LL, Lan Shang, Huang Tuo, Yue Shen and Chao Ya to be alive at the end. I liked others too, but these characters here were the most innocent and good. LL and Yue Shen are fighters but always for good, never a false step.

We’re introduced to the Ice Tribe and prince Ka Suo, who’s turning 130 and becoming an adult now so there’s a big celebration coming. His little brother Ying Kongshi has no magic but they’re very close. Ka Suo’s very curious about the mortal world and often asks realm guardian Li Luo about it, but they’ve never seen each other.
Prince Xin Yue of the Fire Tribe comes too; the two tribes are enemies, and he came to Ka Suo’s coming-of-age ceremony to cause trouble. He kills some guards and enters a forbidden place, then he attacks the mermaid princess but Ka Suo arrives in time to stop him.
2-
The princes fight and the little brother saves him, knocking Fire prince out. The Ice Tribe tries to save him, and the king manages to stabilise him, but then he’s killed by some evil black smoke.
The brothers are put in ice-cells. The Fire king demands the king hand over his son’s ‘murderer’, and the king really considers giving him Ying Kongshi, and is about to do it, when the realm guardians discover the Fire tribe trap, that their prince killed some guards and destroyed the Ice Veil that protects them. What the Fire tribe really wants is to destroy them and rule.
The Fire tribe sends explosive birds against them (=with fire seeds inside them) and then their army surfs their way there (yep) and there’s a big battle.
The real guardians are searching the place for Li Luo (the writers idea of searching is rather different from mine: they simply shout her name, there’s no answer, they can’t find her... ) and of course don’t notice that she’s right there, unconscious.
During the battle, ice soldiers being hit vanish into water/dust/whatever, for whatever reason, while many citizens are injured.
Shi’s mother meets the Fire king; she once loved him but now she hates him, and Li Luo wakes up and hears them talking. To repair the Ice Veil they need a special crystal whose leaves are with the various tribes. Another way to defeat the Fire tribe would be to use an evil God-devouring sword, and Shi volunteers to get it.

Shi volunteers bravely and the king accepts. LiLuo escapes from the fire soldiers because of course they’re stupid. Shi goes to find the sword and his mother reveals the Ice king’s son and daughters’ weaknesses so all their amulets are taken away and they are defeated. The scene when they are killed is very long and honestly boring.
Ka Suo and the real guardian general leave to go find the leaves, but he doesn’t want to. Shi finds the sword and offers his own soul as sacrifice, then KaSuo arrives to break the whole thing; the sword spirits don’t take him and they escape, finding the Fire king outside. The Ice lion comes to their rescue so they can run away. They find the city in ruins and Ka Suo learns about the deaths of his siblings.

The Ice queen tells the Fire king about the crystal thinking she’s saving her son but it was just a trick. Of course. The guardian general dies to let Ka Suo and Shi escape. Li Luo finds him dying and promises to protect prince Ka Suo.
The brothers go to the mortal realm, and with black hair they look already better. Ka Suo looks for someone to cure Shi, but the doctor there can do nothing. Ka Suo sells ice sculptures to make some money (actually those are little coloured stones..). When bad men attack him he uses his magic to kill two of them and becomes weaker for a while because he hurt mortals. He escapes again but the Fire princess Yan Da and her soldiers find him. Li Luo arrives on her unicorn to help, but Shi is captured. Li Luo takes Ka Suo away and tries to help him, but he’s stupid and a fool and never listens to anybody and leaves her behind to go alone to save Shi. (so annoying, if he dies who will save his little brother? if he fails his mission, who will save his people and the whole realm? he’s not kind or brave, he’s a stupid fool)

Ka Suo attacks the Fire camp but then stupidly falls for a simple trick and is captured by Yan Da. Luckily for him Li Luo arrives to save him. Shi “escapes” in a ball of fire. When Yan Da finds him he looks different, grown up, and nobody recognises him (obviously since he’s a different actor now). She thinks he’s a simple mortal boy and takes him in as her slave because she likes him. He tells her his name is Yun Fei. Ka Suo frees Li Luo of her duty to protect him so she says she’ll follow him as friends.
They go together to the Healer tribe, and we meet prince Huang Tuo. WANG DUO finally :-D
He’s about to get married but he doesn’t want to. His father the chief insists because she’s rich :-/
Yan Da wanted to stop the marriage to cause chaos to the tribe, but Huang Tuo escapes first :lol: and he meets Ka Suo and Li Luo who try to help him hiding him, but they do a terrible job at it because Ka Suo is really stupid. Huang Tuo stops the guards and they escape together.

KS and LL take him out of town; he’s looking for the girl he loves, a girl he has seen only once and he doesn’t even know her name :p He finds out now that she’s Yue Shen, his bride-to-be Yue Zhao’s sister who is looking for him to force him to marry her. They talk and then Ka Suo tells her that she’s the one Huang Tuo loves. His father comes to take them away and Huang Tuo, feeling defeated maybe because she said that she hates him because he made her sister cry, now accepts his father’s orders. LL protests that he shouldn’t give up his love, then Yan Da arrives with Shi. The soldiers attack but LL wins. Yan Da had ordered Shi to poison Yue Zhao and she will die in three days without the leaf. Yue Shen realises that Shi poisoned her and wants to kill him. KS protects him and Huang Tuo has him arrested to save the situation. Shi appears to have both Ice and Fire magic, but he doesn’t understand it and tells nobody.
The Chief says that he gave his crystal to a demon to save his village from a plague, and the Rat demon now has it. Shi and KS are reunited but he’s been poisoned by Yan Da so he needs to follow her because only she can cure him. Yue Shen wants to find the leaf to save her sister; KS and LL go with her, Huang Tuo also because he wants to go with her. He’s so funny and innocent, so candid :-)
An evil fog hurts Yue Shen after she saved Huang Tuo’s life.

KS and Huang Tuo look for herbs to cure her. LL falls for the Rat Demon trap. KS and Huang Tuo come to help, but Yan Da arrives too. The Rat demon says that the chief only scared him with the leaf crystal, and never gave it to him, the chief still has it. The chief tries to kill Yue Zhao so that he won’t need to give the crystal back but Shi saves her. It turns out that she chief is no longer a mortal because he ate the leaf. KS and Yan Da fight and LL let Yan Da hurt her so that she’d become weaker and lose her magic for a while, so KS can take the crystal. Huang Tuo is able to cure Yue Zhao with the crystal. Yue Zhao breaks their engagement because she says she doesn’t want to marry someone who doesn’t love her, and he’s very happy about it :lol:
Huang Tuo is now allied with the Ice tribe. KS and LL plan to go to the Dream tribe next.

KS gave the crystal to Shi to give Yan Da because he’s still poisoned and he needs her. KS and LL are told that the Dream chief is stuck in a dream because his sister died and he doesn’t want to wake up. They are told that they need to wake him up to find the crystal so they all enter his dream (Yan Da and Shi go too) and try to stop his sister’s murder.
9-
LL and Shi died in the dream so they are now awake. Dream chief Xing Jiu is awake too, it was a trap for them, to trap them in a dream. He looks into KS’s dream: he dreams of being back to his parents now free, dancing with LL, kissing her, all happy. Xing Jiu leaves him and Yan Da trapped in their dreams; Fire King ordered him to trap KS and he obeys because his sister is his prisoner and he says that he has something that can cure her.
Shi always has a vague, confused expression...
The girl Xing Gui is prisoner, but KS’s grandmother helps her escape ( she looked really pretty in Fire makeup...). LL wants to enter Ks’s dream to save him, but he sees her as the Fire king and traps her.
Xing Jiu attacks the elders of his tribe to get their sceptres to perform a forbidden magic for the Fire king...
10-
He performs his forbidden magic to command other tribe leaders to obey the Fire tribe so now Mermaid queen want to marry Lan Shang to Yan Da’s brother. He also gives them KS and LL still dreaming. Fire soldiers are about to kill KS and LL but Shi yells and KS wakes up and they both save LL. She doesn’t wake up because they killed her in the dream and it’s harder now since she died once already in a dream. Xing Jiu come to save Xing Gui and she tells him that the Fire king lied, he has no cure for her. KS brings LL back to the Dream tribe. The Fire king lets them go because Yan Da is still trapped in a dream. Xing Jiu now removes his forbidden spell but his tribe is against him now. Xing Gui knows that she’s sick because her father used her life energy to restore the magic of his tribe, transferring all the black energy into her...
Yan Da and her brother attack the Mermaid tribe and kill two people, so the queen goes with them. The Dream tribe prepare for war against the Fire tribe; KS plans to go to the Sprite tribe.
11-
KS, LL and Shi stay for Xing Gui’s 100 birthday, supposedly her last one, but in the morning she’s still alive. Yan Da misses Yun Fei. He still needs medicine from her.
LL was an orphan, a dying child when the guardian general found her and took her in, trained her and gave her a life. Shi’s dying so they bring him to Yan Da.
The Mermaid queen plays for time. Shi’s mother was given by her to the Ice king as a concubine, so now she hates both the Ice and Fire tribe. The Fire prince want to kill Shi but Yan Da stops him. KS and LL go to the Sprite tribe, but both the queen and the princess are missing.
The Fire brothers go to the Bear tribe, planning to attack directly because they’ve always been loyal to the Ice tribe, but now their king calls them friends..
12-
The new king of the Bear tribe wants to marry Yan Da in exchange for the crystal, and her brother and father agree. The mermaid princess is still missing after she escaped. Shi finds the real Bear king imprisoned. Yan Da arranges a competition to see if the Bear king is strong enough to marry her, and he defeats everyone, even Yan Da, but then Shi challenges him for her and defeats him using a trick the real king taught him (with some flowers....) then Shi frees the real king and asks him for the crystal, revealing that he’s the Ice prince, but he’s not believed because he has fire magic (although apparently he’ll forget all about this little detail later...).
The fire prince captures Shi and tortures him, but Yan Da arrives and wants to help him because he’s her only friend... her brother says that the Fire tribe has no friends, they only have to obey the king, so she attacks her brother and takes Yun Fei away.
The real Bear king wants to retake his tribe.
13-
Yun Fei’s condition is very bad and Yan Da cries for him. She uses her magic to save his life and then she faints. The real Bear king wins, and the Fire prince retreats now. Three days later Shi wakes up and goes to Yan Da. She says that he’s her only friend, she cures him definitely and says that he can now go wherever he wants. He comes back to free her but is stopped. He uses Ice magic in front of her to prove to the Bear people who he is, then takes her away. She’s heartbroken. He says that he paid back her saving his life, but now ‘let’s not meet again’. She calls him cruel and says that she’ll meet him in battle next.
KS finds the Sprite princess, and the Bear king comes to meet her. They are engaged. They both give KS their crystals. Lan Shang is among mortals trying to find KS but she falls for the trap of an evil man. She’s so kind and silly, she had no chance. Shi and KS reunite.
14-
KS is warned that Lan Shang is in danger and goes to find her. She frees herself and meets Shi. She’s been poisoned by a Fire snake. Yan Da tries to kill Shi but he warns her about Lan Shang’s attack so she bites him instead. Huang Tuo comes to help but she’s cured already (with Shi’s Fire blood..). Lan Shang hugs KS then they go to her palace to get the crystal, but they find the Fire tribe there too. The king fights KS and takes all his crystals, then he imprisons KS in his ‘globe of despair’... the king fights him there, destroys the crystals, and hurts him badly. Shi comes to help: KS is not dead but he has no more powers. Huang Tuo can’t do much for him. Without the crystals the Ice Veil can’t be restored. All the tribe leaders are summoned to a meeting..
15-
The Ice king, controlled by the Fire king, announces to everybody that the Fire king is now the new leader. LL comforts KS and hugs him. KS feels useless and wants Shi to leave and hide and be safe because he can’t protect him anymore ...
The Fire king suspects that Shi might be his son. Shi leaves to start his own plan. He goes to Xing Jiu and in a dream he proves to the leaders that he’s strong enough to defeat the Fire king so they agree to help him, follow him and fight with him.
Huang Tuo gives KS a new hope, as it is Shi’s plan.
16-
The Mermaid queen has no choice but agree to Shi’s plan and he promises that Lan Shang will marry the next Ice king. Shi and Lan Shang go to the Ice palace together, and the mermaid queen chooses to go to war against the Fire tribe.
17-
KS finds out that Shi only wanted to send him far away and wants to go back saying that he has a plan... The Fire king and son both want Lan Shang for themselves so they fight each other and Shi can find his weakness spot, on his hand. KS and LL meet other guardians and they learn of the tribes’ plan to attack. KS wants to get the God-devouring sword.
It’s the Fire king and Lan Shang’s wedding day and Yue Shen leads the Bear tribe to attack.
18-
Shi takes Lan Shang’s place for the wedding night. The armies and tribe leaders arrive but Shi has not yet killed the king (for some reason he hasn’t even tried yet :/ ). KS tries to find the sword spirits but he has no God-spirit to exchange now.. but he convinces them and they go in him; he takes the sword and disappears. Shi is still at ‘his’ wedding night and finally attacks him, but the king turns into flame and doesn’t die, he IS the eternal flame after all, and then he takes control of Shi to attack the other leaders.. but Huang Tuo breaks the control and they attack the Fire king. The king defeats them one by one, then KS arrives like Superman with his sword and fights him too, and when he’s knocked out the sword goes to Shi. He’s winning but Yan Da protects her dad and brother. Shi was being controlled by the swords but wakes up so not to hurt her and she escapes with them.

KS and Shi save their parents. KS not only has no more magic, but now he also has the sword spirits in him trying to take control. Shi’s mom wants him to be king. The Fire prince wants to attack but Yan Da stops him because he’s not strong enough now. The Ice king finds out that KS loves LL and wants him to marry Lan Shang instead at all costs, saying that with her teardrop they’ll reach a place where they might save him..We see now that the only reason why the king married Shi’s mother was because his old father didn’t want to die and so he wanted her teardrop charm..

The king married her (even if she didn’t want to, but nobody asked her), and right after their first night he asked her for her teardrop charm but she couldn’t give it to him because she already gave it to someone else... and of course Shi’s mom was always right in this, the king always preferred KS because he was his wive’s son :-/
KS is tormented by the sword demons because the sword is with Shi now. KS wants to marry LL and leave with her, but she’s a mortal..
The ancient saints (...) tells Xing Jiu that he’s the sixth saint and that KS is destined to be the next king. Shi wants to help KS regain his powers and his mother says that she’ll tell him how to do that if he promises to become the next Ice king and he agrees. When Yan Da goes to the Ice land, Shi saves her but then tells her that he sees her like an enemy. KS dances with LL and everyone sees them.
21-
Big celebration at the ice palace. As a gift Shi asks to be the king’s successor, and he says he’ll think about it... but the saints insist on KS being the next king. The king and queen tell KS to fight for the throne. The black smoke keeps the Fire prince prisoner.
22-
The Ice king arranges a competition for the two brothers to see who will be king, but the first test is something that only someone with pure Ice blood can do...
Lan Shang is still very stubborn on her love for KS :/ The king talks to LL to have her leave KS. Shi starts suspecting he might not be pure Ice blood but his mother denies everything..
23-
Xing Jiu and Gui find out that Shi’s magic is from the ancient lost Ice-Fire tribe. KS goes to the mortal realm with LL and gives her flowers :) Shi finds the Fire prince and asks him to teach him fire magic in exchange for freedom. KS and LL hug. The black smoke abducts KS now, leaving him injured, so the king banishes LL for failing to protect him.
24-
All the leaders go to see LL off. Shi frees KS so he can go too. He runs to her and kiss her. The king actually sent her north on a secret task. She Yin was banned there and maybe he can help KS.
The king is angry at Shi for freeing KS and tells him cruel words. Now Shi believes to be the Fire king’s son and tells his mother that he doesn’t want to be king anymore. We see that Lian Ji was given to the Ice king but she loved the Fire king. They were ‘together’ once but then he disappeared and that’s why she hates him too.
25-
Xing Jiu enters LL’s dream to find together who betrayed the tribe, since she didn’t see Lian Ji’s face.
Lian Ji killed some innocents to get pure Ice blood for Shi’s Ice nucleus.
26-
LL finds Shue Yin but he imprisons her and says he wants to torture her. Xing Jiu proposes to use the Mirror of Truth for the competition, to decide who will be on KS’s team or on Shi’s team.
The scene where Xing Jiu laughed at Lan Shang before the mirror was rather cute :)
Grandma gives Huang Tuo love-advice... so he chooses Shi’s team only because she chose KS’s team... but she still ignores him, poor thing.
27-
Pian Feng is defeated by the Bear king because Chao Ya told him his armor’s weakness= Shi1-KS0
Next will be Chao Ya against Lan Shang. Chao Ya goes first.
28-
Lan Shang uses her siren song and wins Shi1-KS1. then she faints, and she’ll never be able to use it again. Next will be Huang Tuo against Yue Shen, and she tells him that if she kills him she’ll take care of his father for him....
It’s Yue Shen’s ability to poison him against Huang Tuo’s ability to heal himself... which everyone can see it’s rather unfair. She poisons him many times but he won’t yield, and he only worries that if he dies she’ll blame herself and so he tells her that she must not blame herself and to go on and do it, but KS and Shi both stop them, and then Yue Shen takes Huang Tuo away to rest and heal..
All gather to watch the last match, Shi vs KS. The king and the saints tell KS that he must defeat Shi because if Shi wins they’ll have no choice but to kill him to prevent him from being king - and all because when he was an infant they could not read his future.... :-/

KS and Shi love each other and basically they fight each other to save each other (if only people talked to each other in this show...) and now Shi wins, and an injured KS says sorry..
Shue Yin dies with the corpse of the mortal that he loved, and LL is freed. KS goes to warn Shi but the saints attack him already. He fights back, then the black smoke comes saying that he’s the true leader of all the tribes and that it’ll unleash all his power, then it takes control of him and defeats the four saints, burning the room. It plans to take over the world, but then KS wakes up and Shi throws him out of himself, and he takes KS safely outside.
30-
Shi did not save the Fire prince because he knows his secret, but Yan Da comes to save him instead. KS wakes up with temporary amnesia, but when he sees LL he remembers her and hugs her. Huang Tuo says that he has only 15 to 30 days to live. The Fire prince tells the king about Shi’s ability to use Fire magic. KS and all the tribe leaders celebrate together LL’s return, then the jealous guardian who is in love with her comes and tries to take her away, tries to force her to leave when she clearly wants to stay. KS loses control and almost hurts them all - almost.
Shi has eyes of different colours now and uses an eyepatch to hide it. It’s a good thing that Xing Jiu is a saint too because the remaining one Xuan Da seems to be pretty stupid too (not many bright people in this show)
31-
LL summons the fallen oracle in the library and offers her life to save KS’s. The Fire king wants to use Shi as his pawn. Nobody tells Yan Da that Shi is her brother. At Shi’s coronation ceremony, everyone gives gifts, but his mother’s gift bursts into flames.
LL now becomes a monster every night.
32-
Xuan Da finds out that Lian Ji is the traitor and confronts her alone without saying anything to anyone. Shi saves her and kills him. She’s ready to say that it was her fault but the Ice guards immediately blame the Fire tribe so there’s no need. Shi frees the imprisoned Fire prince to blame him and his tribe. Finally Lian Ji confesses to Shi that she betrayed the Ice tribe and also killed those kids, all to make him king.... and he tells her that she’s not his mother anymore. Shi is king now and he orders that KS marry LL. The Fire king now tells Yan Da that Shi is his son and it’s hard on her to accept. LL tries to free Ks of the sword spirits in him.
33-
The Fire tribe launch arrows at the Ice tribe so Shi goes there and the Fire king tells him that he’s his son and starts ordering him around blackmailing him with his secret and Lian Ji’s betrayal. He tells Yan Da he hates them. KS is free of the sword spirits now but she sends notice that she doesn’t want to marry him or be a guardian anymore, because of her secret... then she puts on a big show with the Ice queen’s help to make him believe that she doesn’t love him and only cares for power, then she tells him cruel words to make him think that she doesn’t want to be with him and then she leaves. Xing Jiu enlists him for the mission on the mysterious island (the one in the opening scene in ep1). Shi needs Lan Shang for the teardrop charm to give to the Fire king and plans to get it disguised as KS

There was a crazy god from the Ice-Fire tribe in that island, but now it’s free. When Shi learns that she’ll have the teardrop only after sex, he leaves but then the Fire prince comes and blindfolds her to make her think he’s still KS and then he rapes her. She thinks she bonded with KS who will marry her.
KS goes looking for LL in the forest; she’s a monster and attacks him. When they wake up, she cries, he now knows everything, and says that he will stay with her and announces to all that he’ll marry LL. Lan Shang is devastated. Shi tells her that it was him :/
He says that he didn’t sleep with her but of course she doesn’t believe him now. Lian Ji kills the little fairy girls who were helping Xing Jiu with the investigation on the traitor.
35-
Shi goes to attack Fire prince for what he did to Lan Shang, but Yan Da saves her brother and tells Shi that it’s all his fault. Lian Ji also tries to kill LL. KS and Xing Jiu arrive but the black smoke saves her. Huang Tuo can’t cure LL because she’s not sick, she’s cursed.
Lian Ji tells Shi why she has to kill LL, leaving him to decide between her safety and KS’s happiness.
KS’s father still opposes the wedding; KS insists but his father fights them until Shi comes and keeps his order that they must marry! KS and LL stay kneeled outside waiting for his father’s approval.
The black smoke tells Shi that he’s the only one from his tribe..
36-
The old king says that they are all against him :/ after all he did :/ and his queen tries to convince him that it’s safer for KS to leave the city, so they agree. LS and LL become engaged and get married. Then she prepares to leave for the night (so not to turn into a monster right there), but then a crazy Lan Shang tries to kill Shi and LL tries to stop her. They fight and LL wins, Shi is saved, but then Lan Shang hits her with the God-devouring sword.
Everyone has now seen Shi’s weird magic.
37-
Shi makes a magic box to keep LL alive until Huang Tuo can think of something to do. The black smoke tells Shi that his eyes are a characteristic of his tribe and that he’s now a Ice-Flame god. KS and Huang Tuo and Yue Shen want to preserve LL’s body at the bottom of the sea but the stupid mortal guardians object, but they insist and do it. The Fire prince talks to Lan Shang so now she knows that it was him and not Shi and she tries to commit suicide for what she did and what she suffered, but Shi takes her teardrop and swims after her.
38-
Shi brings her back and they save her. The Fire prince tells them Shi’s secret and also Lian Ji’s betrayal, and so she wants to escape with him but of course they are stopped. They take her while he leaves with Yan Da. The black smoke tells Shi that he’s not a Fire descendant, but his own, Yuan Ji the only Ice-Flame god. Yan Da has nice words for him; Xing Jiu and all tell KS that they have proof that Shi killed Xuan Da; Shi and Yan Da capture Huang Tuo’s dad and Xing Gui and move against the Ice tribe demanding the release of the Fire prince ShuoGang and Lian Ji, but instead the old king orders to attack.
39-
Shi frees ShuoGang but sends him into the Mermaid queen hands so she can kill him and revenge Lan Shang. Yeah :) then he goes to take the sword from KS; when the prisoners are freed Xing Gui reveals that it was all Shi’s plan and Yan Da should leave. Shi throws bad words at KS and they fight, and Shi holds KS’s hands on the sword and stabs himself so that he can pass his powers to him.
The black smoke saves Lian Ji. KS is about to kill himself when Xing Gui plays for him Shi’s flute to stop him, so she can get close to him and tell him Shi’s message. She gives him the ring KS threw away and also a dream to explain that he became king to free him, but he couldn’t stay king because of his blood. All the lies he had to tell and also the ancient god being his father, he tells him everything. That old god wanted to kill KS and everyone else, and now KS understands that he wanted the fight to die and give him all his powers. When he wakes up he tells everyone that Shi is not a traitor and that he has a great power now. Yan Da is sad that Shi died.
40-
KS makes a leaf crystal and then is crowned king. The queen is all happy, which was disturbing :/
The tribe leaders go home, KS is always sad. Lian Ji is also very sad and would like to die but the black smoke won’t let her. He had watched her when she was young for a long time; he was trapped for thousands of years by all the tribes allied together. He watched her dance but then once he saw her cry and he did all his best to break free and he entered a little snow fox that she adopted so to stay with her. She loved the Fire king but he left her angrily when she told him that she wasn’t a pure mermaid. He never loved her, he only wanted a pure teardrop charm, but Yuan Ji did and he used all the energy left in him to become Huo Yi and have sex with her. (So why did Huo Yi think that Shi was his son if he never had sex with her?? He has a daughter and some sons, he should know how that works....)
He tells her that he’ll help her avenge Shi’s death and she wants to kill KS.
Huo Yi comes threatening Lan Shang’s life to learn the secret entrance to the Divine Mountain but the queen doesn’t tell him and KS comes to save her. KS is curious about this new place and this god and he asks his father about it but has no answer. KS plans to investigate this god on his own.
41-
KS and his mother look for Lian Ji’s teardrop charm; she finds it but keeps it hidden. Lian Ji and the black smoke attack the Mermaid tribe and the Ice queen with her. She’s weak and should escape but the black smoke goes into her and now she’s very strong. They kill the Ice queen. KS’s father and grandmother insist on not telling him anything, to protect him :/ Xing Jiu wants to talk to him and grandma stops him. She fights him but KS arrives; his father finally told him something, and with Xing Jiu KS enters She Mi’s memories; Yuan Ji was once the only god until all the tribes and the mortals rebelled. The hidden Lotus can revive people if there’s still a bit of life energy left. She Mi and seven tribe leaders used the hidden lotus to defeat him and sealed him away, but then the Fire tribe tried to get the power and declared war. She Mi created the crystal and the Ice Veil. The hidden lotus is about to bloom again (once every 10000 years) and KS must get it before Yuan Ji does.
42-
The tribe leaders all meet in a dream and they ask Xing Jiu what happened. Xing Gui cries because Xing Jiu must leave with KS ( acting very much like a child). The old Ice king wants KS to take the sword with him but he refuses saying that he’ll never use it again after Shi’s death, but he’s just being stupid again. The mermaid queen gives KS and the six tribe leaders with him some teardrop charms. They will jump into the big lake and arrive at the Divine Mountain, or Holy Snow Mountain. Yan Da has been sent to spy on them and steal the lotus for her father.
43-
They arrive. The first test is the doors-challenge. There’s a door for each one of them, and they must confront their inner demons. They were all in a sort of dream and escaped throw death, but only Xing Jiu realised it, the others failed. The grand priestess is grandma and she denies them access. They try again, but entering each other’s doors.
44-
The sword reaches KS. Grandma gives him her spiritual power. Yue Shen explains to Tuo about her sister Leng being killed and she couldn’t save her and he has the right words for her, so sweet, so perfect for each other. When she comforts him about his father, he says nothing and then he hugs her and she doesn’t fight back :-) It was the sweetest scene.
Xing Jiu is badly injured so Xing Gui replaces him. They must now go on to defeat four enemies before reaching the big boss, the god.
45-
Yan Da makes a deal with sword-spirit-Shi and he gives them advice on how to remove their magic-enabling-bracelets. With the sword he can defeat the first guardian and they move on.
46-
They find the next guardian, and she’s so beautiful everyone stares at her mouth-opened. Chao Ya finds her mother there.
47-
The North guardian shows Xing Gui that she’ll die and Huang Tuo feels useless.
48-
Huang Tuo shares his life energy with Xing Gui. Pian Feng is left behind to protect Xing Gui. Yue Shen protects Huang Tuo :) Thanks to Xing Gui they defeat the guardian’s dream, but she dies :(
49-
Pian Feng gives the Bear king his armor, to better protect Chao Ya, but he gives it to her, so when he’s hurt he dies. Chao Ya gives it back to Pian Feng. Xing Gui left some dreams to help them. They find a prince who thinks highly of Xing Gui, although I can’t imagine how they met.
He tells KS that the next guardian is among his companions.
50-
Pian Feng is poisoned and dies :( KS suspects Yue Shen and Chao Ya attacks her. Huang Tuo dies to protect her (after those two died I was expecting this scene) and then Yue Shen kills Chao Ya and then herself to prove her loyalty. Xing Gui appears as the guardian, and says that when she came to the Mountain she made a deal with Yuan Ji to save her brother’s life, and she accepted to become his guardian. Now KS reveals that it was a trick to lure her out, Chao Ya, Yue Shen and Huang Tuo are still alive, they fight and then Xing Jiu comes to stop her, and she dies, again...
Yan Da warns KS of Yuan Ji’s plan to use their energy to come fully back to life.
51-
Yan Da helps them :) She tells Lian Ji that Yuan Ji won’t revive Shi. Yuan Ji wants to force her but she won’t hurt Shi. Sword-spirit-Shi protects Yan Da and KS ; Lian Ji takes the sword, Yuan Ji enters her so she uses the sword on herself to kill him. He’s smoke again. The Bear king and Pian Feng can’t be saved :( but they all combined can activate the lotus and KS wishes for Shi, LL and Lan Shang to be saved. Yan Da smiles at them and they all go home. LL and Lan Shang wake up but they both don’t remember anything. The Fire king doesn’t punish Yan Da for her ‘failure’. Shi is now called Li TianJin and is the new member of the Fire tribe.
52-
Li TianJin wants revenge over KS who killed him, he doesn’t know anything else of his past. He wears a mask so Yan Da doesn’t recognise him at first, but without the mask she does, she cries and hugs him. Shi woke up wanting to kill KS and the king fed him lies about KS among some truths. Yan Da begs her father to let him go, she wants to tell him the truth but her father stops her. Xing Jiu can’t find him because he has lost his identity.
KS invites Huang Tuo and Yue Shen to celebrate LL. Chao Ya is also the Bear tribe queen now so she doesn’t come. LL appears to be shy, she doesn’t like to eat fish and doesn’t like vulgar talk.. while Lan Shang is easily bored, doesn’t like her princess-life, she wants to ride a unicorn and kill enemies.. she meets the Lie tribe from the Divine Mountain and makes friends with them drinking together.
53-
The people from the Divine Mountain come to the Ice tribe and Huang Tuo attends to them. LL sings a mermaid song to stop a fight. Phoenix took power after Yuan Ji was defeated and is coming here now. He goes to the Fire tribe first and they are about to fight when the king proposes an alliance.
Nobody can understand that the girls are swapped :/

They still don’t get it, it’s so so boring. Lan Shang drinks and rides LL’s unicorn, while LL puts make up on Huang Tuo ( :lol: such a pretty girl :p) and still KS thinks nothing of it, as if it was normal for LiLuo to like pretty dresses and make up and stuff, or for Lan Shang to drink and ride :/
55-
Yue Shen suggests LiLuo should see Xing Jiu. Li TianJin gives KS Shi’s flute. He hears Yuan Ji’s voice telling him to kill KS. Yue Shen is jealous because there are many girls around Huang Tuo now :p and he’s jealous when some girls speak of Yue Shen and Xing Jiu as a couple.
Chao Ya calls Xing Jiu, and Yue Shen and Huang Tuo go too. The Bear and Sprite tribe suddently started fighting and she wants to know what magic caused that.
56-
Yue Shen and Huang Tuo make Chao Ya’s banquet more lively, and then the music starts again and they find Die Che. Chao Ya doesn’t play any music anymore and Die Che says she should be the queen. In Chao Ya there’s only endless pain now :( and she thinks she has no reason to live anymore, but both her tribes believe in her and cheer her :)
There’s a celebration where many little tribes promise alliance with the Ice tribe.
The whole KS-LL-Lan Shang situation is so boring it’s unbearable.
57-
The fire king comes demanding that Lan Shang be given to him in exchange for peace, as an excuse to cause trouble and provoke a war
58-
Yue Shen always calls Huang Tuo an idiot (they remind me of Amy and Rory Pond which makes it all even sweeter). Xing Jiu fights Phoenix over Lan Shang, and Jiu wins. The next is the Fire king, and he traps Jiu in the globe of despair, and KS goes in to save him, breaking the despair part, so he can fight back, but the king wins. Li TianJin fights the king without magic because the king has lost his after he hurt LL. Li TianJin wins in order to get closer to KS and kill him. Lan Shang is sick, from time to time she becomes frozen solid and Huang Tuo can’t help, only Li TianJin can.
59-
Li TianJin asks to borrow KS’s sword, the god-devouring sword, and KS is like: sure, come with me :/
KS gives it to him and then Li TianJin attacks him with it and then his mask falls down and Shi abducts LL and Lan Shang and goes away. Nobody gets why Shi hates him and wants to kill him (only Yan Da got it right away...). Xing Jiu and everyone else enter LL’s dream and they finally understand that inside LL’s body there’s Lan Shang and vice versa. Finally! And finally KS remembers Yuan Ji’s curse.
60-
The Fire king and Phoenix attack. The old Ice king hurt his hand and Xing Jiu was like: go back, you’re injured :/
Die Che fights with them, all the tribe leaders fight. The fire king wants to kill the two girls but Shi stops him. KS goes back to the hidden lotus but the only way it’ll change the wish is if KS will give three lives in exchange :/ and it looks like he even spends time thinking about it!!
Yan Da sees with her own eyes that her father recovered so quickly because he’s been killing gods and eating their vital energy, and he also eats Phoenix. She’s horrified, even more so when she sees him eating the Fire princes. Yan Da cries for them and doesn’t want to live but he doesn’t kill her. The fire king also kills lots of mermaids and eats them too. He kills the Mermaid queen too.
61-
Everyone prepares for battle. Huang Tuo says that he’ll fight to the death with Yue Shen and she says that he can only marry her if he wins and lives... The Fire king confronts Xing Jiu, Huang Tuo, Yue Shen, Die Che, Chao Ya, but he’s too strong now. He eats Die Che and Chao Ya. Yue Shen tells Huang Tuo that she loves him and then they’re killed and he eats them too.
The old ice king finally comes to confront him. It took him a while, didn’t it?!?
Huo Yi is a demon now and he eats the old king too, but the king had fused the crystal with his vital energy to defeat him from within.
KS of course can’t choose to sacrifice anyone ( :/ ) and he leaves after saying his little speech on how the lotus is a mirror to see the ugliness and greed inside...
Yan Da is miserable over the death of her brothers, and she prays the Fire ancestors to give her power. KS comes back to see that they are all dead and he closes their eyes :/
Xing Jiu is still alive so he can tell him what happened.
62-
Shi comes to the Ice city to kill KS and they fight. KS plans to lose and die to end the curse, but then Shi remembers. Yan Da saves LL and Lan Shang. Shi is himself again, all white. Huo Yi makes Shi stab KS controlling him. KS and Shi fight him, and the two girls are again themselves.
KS dies, so now it’s Shi vs Huo Yi. Yan Da wants to protect both but then the king kills her to hit him.
Shi defeats Huo Yi but Yan Da dies in his arms. He cries, she asks if he ever liked her, he says nothing, she dies...
Time goes by, Shi wants to find the scarlet lotus to revive KS....
He’s accepted as king now, but he’s absent at his celebration because he’s gone to find the lotus.
So: Lan Shang will be alone in a tribe where so many died, Li Luo is no more herself and not just for the white hair, there isn’t a tribe who still has a chief since they all died, and even the Ice tribe is left without a leader because Shi leaves.
What now, is everything in LiLuo’s hands now? Is she the queen or not, since the king is supposed to be Shi? Sure thing is: if Yan Da or her father wanted to take the power now, it would be as easy as robbing a little child :-/
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse ending than this.
