Rizzoli and Isles - season 5

1-A new day
Angela figures out that Jane’s pregnant by herself, and has confirmation from Maura’s hands :p
We didn’t see Frost the whole episode, and at the end they say that he had an accident and died.. just like that :-(
A woman is killed and her baby is missing - of course, Jane just found out she’s pregnant so now there’s an ep with a missing baby to give her feels..
Maura says that the killer was a woman. Jane “how sure are you about this?” - “on a scale of 1 to Alpha Centauri?” - “if you have to” - “about a block from Alpha Centauri” - “that’s very sure”.. :p
The ex husband and his new girl did it, they killed Susan and left the baby at a ‘safe place’. He’s not been found because a homeless woman took him to feed him and keep him warm.. :-) sweet.
2-…goodbye
Frost’s mom comes to talk to Jane and she volunteers to arrange his funeral. Maura tells Jane she’d like to be buried at sea and have a cello playing (nothing fancy you knows…) and Jane says she wants to die a day before her so not to have to get on a boat :-p
Each of them deals with the loss their own way. At Frost’s funeral Jane talks about him, showing pictures and sharing memories of him.
Later at home a postcard from Frost that just arrived brings her too to the crying stage.
A girl covered in blood walks in saying she doesn’t remember who she is or what she did but she says she killed someone, probably. Maura calls her Jessica, and Jane takes her out for a ride to see if she remembers anything.
Frankie finds out who she is, Lily, and they find her boyfriend dead, executed. They show her his picture, tell her she’s safe, and boom, she remembers everything, just like that. They catch Toby’s killer and call Lily’s dad to come take care of her.
3-Too good to be true
Maura tells Jane that Angela knows about her pregnancy. Angela told Frankie of course, and Jane’s angry and threatens to call the baby after cousin Tina if she tells anybody else :-p Costantina Rizzoli, because Angela doesn’t like her :-p Tommy’s back in AA, and of course he knows too :-p Jane finally told Casey, and the whole baby thing suddenly started to feel more real for her so now she’s scared. Angela says that’s normal, and starts remembering how ‘bad’ she was as a child :-p
Jane tells Korzak too :-)
Maura checks what Jane eats and throws away her industrial cupcakes.
Maura’s feet hurt but she still wears high heels. Jane tells her to stop wearing high heels, but actually she does too (sure, her shoes are more comfortable, they have a big square heel, but still, she’s a cop, meaning she may have to run, or sneak quietly, or stuff like that… you can’t do that in high heels as well as you might do it without!).
At the end Jane joins Maura to a ‘high heels yoga’ class, but then she tries on somebody else’s shoes and the girl working there tells her “this isn’t a shoe store. They don’t belong to you” and also “trying on other people’s shoes… who does that?”. They walk out , saying the staff is not so friendly… which is true, the girl was rather snob and rude, but honestly, she had reasons! Who does that? What if a random stranger wore your fabolous shoes without telling you, would that be ok? I don’t think so…
They have to start looking for a replacement for Frost.
A man dead in the park; another guy buried in the woods. A middle-age guy lured men with no connections promising them a job, then he’d rob them of everything and kill them. Jane and Frankie run after him; she shoots him dead but is shaken up after a bad fall.
4-Doomsday
Jane says “Shaggy and Scooby would be so proud”, and when Korzak says “after you Velma” Jane says “she’s Velma, I’m Daphne obviously. Maura, back me up on this” :-p
Jane is worried that Korzak might want to retire, and Angela worries about Frankie hiding something from her. Jane questions Korzak about the retirement forms when a bomb goes out in the bunker; Korzak tells her “just trying to figure out where I’m headed, that’s why I have a life coach. I’ve seen so many guys wait so long to retire they can’t enjoy it when it comes. Kiki said filling up the forms might help me figure out how I feel”; Jane:”did you?” - Korzak:”do I look like I’ve figured out anything?” He also applied for lieutenant.
Frankie was not dating after all,he was taking night classes on engineering.
Maura wants to buy a side-car :-p She does, and they drink and talk sitting on her new sidecar :-p and for some reason they keep saying “bug out” as if Maura said it wrong.. :-/ sounds the same to me.
A guy died inside his survival-shelter, in his home. The body of the builder is found under a tunnel. A guy robbed people of the values they kept in their bunkers.
5-The best laid plans
The Governor asks Maura to ‘facilitate a death certificate’ or something like that, as a favour. An old lady just died of cancer, but Maura calls it a suspicious death and does an autopsy. Maura puts the heart in water and says “are you ready? to bask in the wonder of the scientific experimentation together - or individually - here we go… wow! That is wow! You see what I mean?” Jane:”I’m still basking” Maura got exciting when bubbles came out of the heart in water… like a bike tire…
Since there was air in her heart, she says the lady was injected with an empty syringe. A woman confesses to helping the old lady die with morphine, but she did it when the woman was already dead. Someone killed her first. The old lady had planned that assisted, peaceful suicide, but someone wanted her to suffer instead. A guy killed her because her husband had an affair and was his father and she sort of kept them apart, away, but then he regrets it because in her last moments she smiled as if forgiving him…
Maura teaches a seminar in forensic science at Boston Cambridge University, but she really dreads the grading-part of it. She meets Jack, who teaches mechanical engineering, and after class he asks her out. :-)
Maura and Jane talk and it’s so funny: Maura says she’s worried about the teaching and if they’ll like her again next lecture, but Jane tries to analyze the situation to understand why she’s so nervous and defensive: “someone paid you a compliment that you’re not really handling well because… you met a guy! uh..and you like him! who is he? - then, repeating Maura’s words “Jack Armstrong! A professor…” but Maura’s upset because she says she’s sure it won’t work, because it always ends badly, but Jane tells her to give the guy a chance and goes away saying “sexy, sexy…”
Jack sends Maura a gift: a very peculiar tree: “over the next two weeks the roots are gonna get so strong that they’re gonna break the ceramic pot unless I replant it with enough room to grow” and Jane:”a latin card and a metaphor plant? He could be your soulmate!” :-p but Maura still thinks “there is no Mr Right out there for me”. Jack comes to Maura’s office and she tries to break it off before it even starts; she says that all men she was attracted to had some kind of disorder, and he only hears the words “since I’m wildly attracted to you…” :-p but he says “it only needs to work out once” which is so true :-D Later she tells Jane about her date “well, he didn’t try to kill me!”  Jane“yayyyy” Angela”well that’s a good sign”
Angela is always around Jane telling her what to do until she tells her “you’re not being helpful, you’re being invasive and I need you to stop” which is true of course. She talk and work on their boundaries :-)
At the end, Angela calls for a celebration because “you didn’t get fired and Maura is pretty sure she’s not dating a serial killer”
I really like how Jane seems tough while working but then she looks like a little girl while talking to her mother at the cafè :-p adorable.
Jane, Korzak and Frankie hurt every time they see Frost’s chair.
6-Knockout
A woman is stabbed, Janice. She had changed her whole appearance, losing weight, exercising… they question her personal trainer and find out the husband’s strange behaviour: he’s a doctor and he spent all his weekends alone in a cabin, shooting at watermelons. Susy, and Maura in videochat, study the watermelons: Susy”I am conducting a fruitopsy” Maura”that’s funny” and I love Susy’s smile here :-)  Jane”I’m going to go get a susictionary” :-p
Maura’s gone to a convention, and pretends to be some kind of crazy party girl and has her room full of people drinking :-p
Susy makes dioramas, representations of how the murder occurred, and Jane teases her about guessing :-p
Susy makes another diorama ‘to scale’, and it was a nice scene :-) the doctor tried and retried to make a bullet that could not be detected.
Korzak’s old friend Peter’s grandson comes looking for him, wanting to play music with him. And they do. Korzak feels responsible because the night Peter died he didn’t go home with hi but stayed out, having fun “how do I tell Bobby I killed his grandfather?” but Angela says “this is not about you my friend, this is about Bobby, about what he wants, what only you can give him” - “what the hell can I possibly give Bobby?” - “how about a little piece of his grandfather? Because he’s still alive here in your heart”
At the end, there’s another diorama, at the bar: Maura and Jane ‘to scale’, and they joke on who is more to scale between them :-p
7-Boston keltic
Maura keeps seeing Jack and also being nervous, and Jane tells her not to talk work with him, maybe talk about puppies, everybody love puppies, but “the outsides of puppies” Maura wants Jane to meet Jack, but there’s always something happening so they keep rescheduling, and talking  of what she should talk about with him :-lol: and it’s very nice, I love their scenes off work :-)
Angela tries to look worse because she wants to break up with Sean without being cruel :-p She likes him very much but wants a change in her life, wants to “ be alone without a man for once in my life to learn who I am”, and it actually make sense! Good for her. She also quits her job, to start again a new life completely.
A rare-books store owner is tortured and killed. A book was hidden, and was to be delivered to McTavish, a professor of literature, very good with manuscripts, and very persistent. Jane goes to see Doyle in jail; he sort of helps her with her case, and asks to see Maura before he gets transferred to California. The secret of the book was a confession, about a bombing in 93 in Dublin, and a British cop comes to thank them :-)
At the end, Jane has prepared everything to be able to meet Jack and talk about doodles, but Maura cancelled again to go to see Doyle. :-) Good.
8-Lost & found
Jane finally meets Jack and the night goes great, he’s funny and nice and Jane likes him :-) But I wanted to hear Maura’s story about her and Jane going camping, and what happened :-p Jack sends Jane a baseball signed by Grover Verben, and Korzak thinks it’s an expensive gift, so when she spills coffee on it she begs her mother to clean it up, because she believes Angela to be a wizard with the stain removal.. Actually Angela once bought a new thing to replace the dirty one :-p now she erases the ‘ben’ in ‘Verben’ :-p
Korzak wants to take the lieutenant exam. There’s a new agent: Nina Holliday.
A girl is killed and later her husband is found killed too in his hotel room. It was a professional hit. The husband hired a hitman to kill his wife because he hated her, thinking her just a gold-digger, but since there was a witness he became a liability so the hitman killed him too and now he’s looking for the witness: a teenage girl, homeless and very smart. Jane finds her first, but the hitman finds them both. As soon as Tasha walks out of the building, she’s hit  and they hide in an elevator, and Jane uses its phone to call the elevator assistance (and it works: wow). The operator calls the police and Korzak Frankie and Nina drive there immediately. He also calls Maura, while she was talking to Jack. She rushes there, Jack drives her. Tasha wants to become an oncologist “so I can save someone else’s mom”. Maura talks to Tasha on the phone to keep her awake. Jane gives her her vest and goes out to stop the hitman (can’t help thinking that without heels she’d be quicker and that in movies they make very silent heels indeed :-/)
Jack wants to help but the police won’t let him go near the scene and Maura tells him “you are helping, you’re here”.
Jane stops the guy from killing Tasha but he hits her hard, until Korzak shoot him dead. It ends there, with both Jane and Tasha on the ambulance.
9-It takes a village
Jane lost the baby. Jack sent her a ‘bouquet’ of Grover Verben balls, because his great uncle has hundreds of them :-p (still, even if he didn’t pay a lot of money for that ball, it still was a nice and precious gift). Angela comes visit with a huge panda-peluche :-) and tells her that she had a miscarriage one year before Jane was born, so she understands how she feels, and then they play cards :-) Jane gives the nurse a Grover ball as a thank you for taking care of Tasha, then brings the huge peluche to her and Tasha and Maura augue if the panda is or isn’t a bear and Tasha says “…and they don’t hybernate, so if they are bears then they are all alone on their own little bear island”  The social worker tells Jane that Tasha will be put in a foster group home; she can stay at the hospital one week, ten days tops. Tasha tries to hide away but Jane finds her.  Gwen the kind nurse agrees to take Tasha in as her foster mother :-) so she can keep going to school :-)
A mummified body is found, a woman dead in her own home. She was poisoned four years ago, but she had lights on timer, bills on autopay, mail to a p.o.box, no strict relationship with her mother… so nobody reported her missing. Her stepfather says that she broke her mother’s heart.
Actually the gardener knew she was dead, he found her four years ago but didn’t say anything to keep getting the autopayment; “can I go now?” and Korzak: “no, we’re gonna leave you here and see if somebody finds you” :-p Then they find a sort of colleague of her: he also had found her, four months after her death. He made an anonymous call to the police, but when they came nobody answered the door so they went away…
The woman was the only heir to a lot of money, and Nina gets them all the bank info they need, she’s very good :-) It turns out that the stepfather killed her and also killed his own wife who had cancer but it was moving too slow for his taste..
At the end, Jane can go home and Maura has a beer with her: “I actually like it” :-) didn’t she try it already? and then Korzak, Frankie and Angela come to keep her company at Maura’s home. :-)
10-Phoenix rising
Jane is eager to go back to work, but there is no letter when Angela comes home with the mail. Truth is, Angela hid the letter, Jane was cleared for duty two days ago, and it stated that she could go back to work in two days… Angela just wasn’t ready to let her go to work again.
To get some piece of evidence without the proper papers, Jane shows up dressed as “sexy-librarian” (very beautiful, but I agree with Maura, the scarf around the neck screamed flight-attendant, not librarian :-p). Finally she can go back to work.
A man Korzak knows is in prison for setting a fire that killed his wife and daughter; he’s dying now, and he asks Korzak to look into the case because he’s not guilty and doesn’t want his son to keep hating him. The case is 15 years cold; Rick was a drunk then, so his son won’t consider any doubt until Korzak shows him who did it. They find the real arsonist, so Rick’s son agrees to see his dad who will be freed soon :-)
End: it’s Jane’s last night at Maura’s home, and she freaks out when she’s told that Angela is out dancing :-p “raising my mother is a lot harder than I thought” :-p
11-If you can’t stand the heat
Angela likes a new tea that smells weird. Angela tests it , and finds a potent aphrodisiac in it. When Angela shows up at the bar looking fabulous in a red dress, Maura tells her the truth; Angela drinks a bit more (but for the last time :-p) before going on a date :-p
A heat-wave makes people at the station queue outside Maura’s lab :-p
Korzak finds a little dog and calls it Sipowicz :-D and it only responds to Spanish :-D
A body was pun in a bathtub covered in ice that melted because of the heat.  It seems that the guy was a bartender and a novelist, with lots of money that he “found”: he wasn’t really a novelist, and he got his two million dollars from a kidnapping six years ago. The poor kid, after he was released, has been living in a mental institute ever since. Poor Eric was traumatized and scared. His father doesn’t want to talk to the police, but Eric’s sister wants to help him, and therefore them too. They catch the other kidnapper and Eric finally feels free :-)
12-Burden of proof
Jack can’t find his pants so he wears Maura’s kimono while Jane’s there :-p
Maura’s about to meet Jack’s daughter Ally. Angela learns about it and talks to her, with Jane to back her up: “I’m here under protest” Angela wants to help her talk to young girls and asks her “what are your thoughts about Pretty Little Liars?” - “I don’t think it’s good to lie, wether you’re pretty or little” :lol - she asks her about Lady Gaga and she replies “I’m more familiar with Lady and the tramp” :-p so Angela gives her teenage magazines to read :-p Finally Maura meets Ally, and of course she’s just her type, she’s smart and she likes her tribal masks… Maura gave her lipgloss, and Jack kisses her and thanks her for finding out what was bothering his daughter :-p I really like Jack :-)
A young woman is killed in her home. Same m.o. as in another girl’s murder, but the first murderer is already in prison. The girl (Danielle) ’s secret boyfriend was Plymouth County Prosecutor Paul: he’s married and he prosecuted the other case. He admits the relationship and denies ever being in her house, but they find his dna there.. so they arrest him, and he gets beaten and left in prison. Finally he makes bail. He loved Danielle, and was framed for her murder. When he wants to kill himself and is on the bridge, Jane finds him and goes to talk to him and convinces him to stay and help her catch the real killer, but he slips and falls into the river, and Jane jumps after him to save him. End of this episode right here.
13-Bridge to tomorrow
They’re looking for Paul and Jane. Yesterday Paul’s wife was all worried for him, now she’s like “he cheated and humiliated me, frankly I don’t give a damn if he drowns”.
Both Jane and Paul are found alive. Maura asks her: “did you think about any of us before you jumped?” but of course Jane didn’t, she only thought she was the only one who could help him. Maura had been terribly afraid of losing her, and felt guilty she didn’t do anything to help her: survivor’s guilt.
Frankie helps Angela practice for her job interview. It doesn’t go badly, but they wanted someone with a college degree..
Vince calls them all to the bar to tell them of his retirement plan: he bought the bar! Angela says: “buona fortuna” :-p :-)
Nina left Chicago after her teacher boyfriend was shot in class. Maura wants Jane to start her bucket list, then gives her a pasta-maker to make ravioli :-D but they don’t know how to use it :p Actually they’re kinda ridiculous here, Jane says she broke it because the handle came off, then the whole piece comes off  come on girls, just screw the pieces together and that’s it! Then they have a hard time finding something to do together from their bucket lists, then Maura suggests an archeological trip in Egypt, where they could both wear Indiana Jones hats :-p :-D
Paul’s wife had known about the affair for months, and she had carefully planned it all, and now confesses the details to Paul.. Poor Paul is broken :’(
14-Foot loose
Angela’s down because everybody’s looking for young girls and she can’t find a job. Maura starts talking about statistics, saying “there’s comfort in numbers” … seriously? I find it depressing, maybe because they’re never in my favour…
Angela is still at the Dirty Robber when the delivery girl Margareth comes in and they talk about her boyfriend :p Angela seems to understand their relationship very well. That night, Angela can’t get the attention of any of the young waitresses there, so she goes at the counter to get herself a coffee refill: while behind the counter she hears a man talking of a secret plan to propose to his girlfriend, and she’s curious and asks him what the plan is. He refuses at first, says “I’m on the phone”, and she tells him “hang up, this is important” - “why should I?” - “because you’re gonna blow this engagement, no-one is ever gonna love you and you’ll die alone” :-p so he tells her :p and she tells him about women :p That night that same man comes in with a friend to meet Angela after she gave him good advice, and talks about her to Korzak, then leave because she’s not there :p
So Korzak hires Angela as a bartender :-D
A foot is found at a beach. A torso soon after. While autopsying the torso, Maura smells cyanide and locks up the lab. They are two different victims, foot and torso. Jane finds another man has been poisoned with cyanide, and while he’s taken to a hospital she has to give up her clothes and wear a doctor’s vest :p She has a drink at the bar, and Maura calls her doctor to the bartender, and Jane says “I have a surgery in an hour” while ordering alcohol :p
They think he was the crazy doctor’s assistant, but he played them, he wasn’t poisoned, he was the killer, and he walks out the hospital dressed as  a cop, but Jane and Korzak arrive in time to stop him. This guy was obsessed, he killed the doctor (not a real one, just a pretend healer), and also his patient.
The forensic artist Chip gets fired because of Jane, well, it’s own fault for leaking information, but he’s not angry, in fact he hugs her and thanks her because now he can follow his dream and publish a comic book… (called Bostonia, with the heroine on the cover looking a lot like Jane! :p )
15-Gumshoe
A man is killed at a company store. Dead Dylan’s company was being used for dealing drugs and he was killed because he found out and wanted to stop it. Jane is ‘helped’ by a private investigator that was hired to find out if Dylan was cheating on his wife.
Korzak is worried because Frankie failed his firing test but Jane finds out he failed on purpose to spend more time with the cute trainer there… then he fails again because he was nervous having her around.. when Maura hears this, she solves the problem: Alexandra has a wife, no chance for Frankie there, so he aces his test this time…
Jane is worried about Angela spending too much now that she has a job, and has Maura talk to her. Angela resents that and pulls out everything from her secret study closet: lots and lots of stuff Maura doesn’t need, but when she’s stressed out she likes to shop :-p
16-In plain view
Korzak uses a thesaurus book, Kiki’s gift, to expand his vocabulary :-D
Someone is using Maura’s credit card, using her identity too: “she’s living my life better than I am” she says. She goes to a restaurant with Angela to see her. The blond impostor is arrested thanks to the video Angela recorded of her leaving the restaurant :-)
A man is beaten to death on a road at night. A cop from Maine comes to ‘help them’ but it turns out he’s the killer, who was badly humiliated as a kid and took revenge. They stop him when he tries to kill his stepfather, the worst of all.
17-Bite out of crime
“New England Medical Officers 2015-2016 President Elect Maura Isles” :-) She’s the first president elect in the fields of pathology. She’s celebrated by Susy, Jane, Angela and Jack, of course.
Jack’s daughter is relocating to New Mexico and he’s trying to figure out a plan to make it work with both Ally and Maura. She tells him she doesn’t want to lose him :-) but then she says she can’t accept feeling that she’s the reason why Jack and Ally can’t see each other, so they say goodbye… :-(
A man is shot to death while arguing with a man for a parking spot, by a sniper up a tree. The second victim was only badly wounded, while on his lunch break. A guy found at the park has a rare pathology that makes him believe that he’s a werewolf. The sniper goes after the wolf-guy at the hospital Maura took him to, and she runs after him and injures him with a scalpel before Jane catches him :-) Maura also finds out the wolf’s identity and family :-)
18-Family matters
Maura is sad because she misses Jack so much. Jane keeps trying to find something to do with Maura to cheer her up. They sing in the car :-) and it’s a very nice scene :-) because Jane is taking her to a spa while she goes investigating nearby.  Jane keeps saying she can deal with her problems and losses on her own. One night she sees a man she thinks is Frost and she runs after him. After that she gets the idea of how to break the case.
A couple is having kinky sex at a hotel when the man is killed and the woman is left alone, blindfolded and tied to the bed. The man had a double life, and another wife. The two wives planned the murder together.
Jane:”maybe Batman slipped while trying to fly in and save his mistress in distress” - Korzak”Batman didn’t fly” - Jane”well, he lept great distances in a batlike and heroic manner” :p - K:”yes but that’s not flying, not like Superman” - J:”why did Superman fly?” - K:”because of the stronger gravitational pull of his own planet Krypton, Earth gravity had no effect on him” - J:”well, then why didn’t he fly all the time?”  which is a good point :-p Korzak:”I have no idea” :-p
Jane meets Tasha at the bar (the girl that was shot with Jane and went to live with the kind nurse): she’s getting on well and she’s applying for college :-) They put together the “Barry Frost Memorial Scholarship” to help Tasha pay for college :-)
Angela encourages Korzak to ask Kiki out.
