Immune to murder by Rex Stout

Another Nero Wolfe story, but a boring one. It's 36-37 pages long, full of diplomats and with talking of fishing, both boring things. The only thing that is rather noteworthy is that Wolfe leaves his house in New York to travel 450 km towards a mountain retreat to cook fresh fishes for the ambassador of some Country and his guests. Wolfe is one of the ten best cooks in the world (number 9 I think, if I remember correctly) but then Archie finds a man face down in the water, murdered. At first Wolfe doesn't want to be involved, he only wants to go home, but then he feels insulted by the ambassador's intention of buying his silence with a much less than perfect emerald, so he consults his lawyer and then demands to talk to the secretary of state before he can reveal the name of the murderer. Reason is, it is the ambassador himself, who of course has immunity, so things are more difficult than usual. All's well that ends well, of course, and the solution was clear when it was revealed that Wolfe had not cooked anything fished by the ambassador: reason was, they were not very fresh, he had planned things so to have time to commit his murder.
All in all, a very boring story.
