The big bang theory - season 9

This is when Leonard and penny get married, Amy and Sheldon break up/make up/make love, Raj has two girlfriends, Bernie is pregnant, and Leonard and Penny plan their second wedding.

1. The matrimonial momentum.

Leonard and Penny get married in Vegas and the others should watch it on the internet but then Amy breaks up with Sheldon. He calls his mom to give her the ring back, but she tells him to keep it.

Leonard and Penny fight because he tells her that he still sees the girl he kissed on the ship while at work.

Sheldon is vey distressed, Leonard is too.

2. The separation oscillation.

Sheldon says that Leonard should have Penny and Mandy meet.

Bernie is upset because Howard told her and she had to keep it a secret from Penny for two years.

Leonard and Penny talk and make peace.

3. The bachelor party corrosion.

Raj and Howard come to take Leonard away for the weekend for a bachelor party, and they kidnap Sheldon too. To Mexico, to stay in Feynman’s ex-house. They have trouble changing a tyre, and end up outting the van on fire.

Penny still hasn’t told her family about being married. She pierces Amy’s ears then she calls her dad to tell him and learns that her pet pig was killed. Accidentally, by her dad.

4. The 2003 approximation.

Sheldon is upset because Leonard and Penny want to live together, but then they sign the end of their roommates status.

Sheldon can’t find a new roommate and starts pretending to be in 2003 before they changed him and made him all emotional…. So they change their mind, for now.

Raj and Howard write a ‘song’ and sing it at the comic book store… terrible.

5. The perspiration implementation.

The boys take up fencing lessons with Kripke as the instructor.

Stuart wants more girls in his shop, but the problem is Stuart himself, being creepy with them.

Sheldon is upset thinking that Kripke might court Amy,and he’s right, Kripke does ask her out. She refuses.

6. The helium insufficiency.

A Swedish team wants to try their experiment, so Sheldon and Leonard want to do it first but they need liquid helium and don’t have it. They try to buy it privately.

Stuart met two girls with an app, so they try it for Amy.

7. The Spock resonance.

Sheldon is interviewed by Adam Nimoy for a documentary in Spock, and Penny and Leonard (and Adam and Wil) learn that he got a ring for Amy, in his family for generations.

Bernie calls her dad to renovate the dining room. She told her dad that it’s Howard who doesn’t want kids.

Sheldon decides to go and propose to Amy, but he sees her on a date and changes his mind.

8. The mystery date observation.

Amy is on her third date with British and tall Dave… but when he hears she was going out with Sheldon Cooper he starts asking about him, being a big fan… Of course Amy dumps him.

Sheldon asks Raj and Howard to find him another girl, and they make puzzle online with Sheldon as the prize.  A beautiful and smart girl arrives. She looks and sounds perfect but he rejects her because she’s late.

9. The platonic permutation.

Sheldon has tickets to do thanksgiving in an aquarium cafeteria, but nobody wants to go with him, so he gives them to Amy who offers to go together, as friends. They have fun, she realises she missed him amd asks to be his girlfriend again, but he says getting over her was too difficult or something like that, and so he’d like to stay friends.

Bernie, Raj, Emily and a reluctant Howard go to do volunteer work at a kitchen. Howard ends up  dishes with Elon Musk.

Leonard and Penny cook dinner, and she doesn’t know his birthday, but he knows so much about her because he read her diary.

10. The earworm reverberation.

Sheldon has a tune in his head but doesn’t remember what it is, and it’s driving him crazy. Amy calls Dave to go out again. Sheldon finally remembers the song and realises that it stuck in his head because it talks about Amy and how she changed him and made him better, so he goes to her house, confesses all, they both say they love each other and then they kiss. A lot. :)

11. The opening night excitation.

The new Star Wars is in three days and they got tickets, very very important, so much that he wants to go even if it’s Amy’s birthday. But after thinking about it he decides that Amy’s important so he’ll stay with her, and as a gift he’s decided to get intimate. She’s super excited when Penny tells her.

The boys give Sheldon’s ticket to Wil Wheaton, who enters dressed like Spock

Everyone enjoys their night  :)

12. The sales call sublimation.

Stuart found a place and leaves their house, and now they miss him.

Sheldon and Raj found an asteroid and named it Amy.

Penny has Leonard meet with a therapist to talk her into meeting Penny for work, and he enjoys their session very much.

13. The empathy optimization.

Sheldon was sick and driving everyone crazy, and can’t understand why they’re all fed up with him now that he’s good. His friends plan a trip to Vegas without him, but Amy tells him he was wrong to be mean to those who took care of him; he thinks about it for a while and feels truly sorry so he goes and apologizes to everyone.

The apology to Emily is terrible, so she doesn’t accept it, but luckily he said he won’t go on their trip… but then he truly apologizes and Emily forgives him, so he and Stuart go as well.

14. The Meemaw materialization.

Sheldon’s meemaw comes to visit. She (Constance?) came to size Amy up, and she calls him Moon Pie. Sheldon is very distressed when Amy and grandma fight. After a while he takes Amy’s side and they all make peace.

Raj and Howard have a discussion about Frozen, and only Raj loves it. How can anyone not love that film? Ok, maybe it’s more for girls, Howard can’t understand real emotions…

15. The Valentino submergence.

Raj thinks about breaking up with Emily since he met Claire at the comic book store… and now he’s sad because he did and then Claire said no.

Penny is down because she’s ageing, she was 22 when she met Leonard, but she’s not 22 anymore.

16. The positive negative reaction.

Bernie tells t she’s pregnant. He freaks out. The whole episode is about that.

17. The celebration experimentation.

Amy wants to celebrate Sheldon’s birthday, but he doesn’t want to because when he was little all his twin sistr’s friends tortured him and Batman never came to his parties, so this year the boys get Adam West to come, and also Wil Wheaton, Barry, Leslie, Stuart and Leonard’s mom who calls him dear.

At first he’s overwhelmed and hides in the bathroom, but then Penny talks to him and he comes out, and quite likes it when they say nice things about him. Amy even has Hawking sing him happy birthday through the computer.

18. The application deterioration.

Sheldon, Leonard and Howard want to patent their invention, but are shocked to learn that the university will get 75% of all profits, and Howard will get nothing. Sheldon and Leonard agree to share their profit with Howard, and Sheldon writes a contract for them, but Bernie has doubts about Howard working with Sheldon, so they talk and Sheldon agrees to put in the contract that he can’t mock Howard in any way, so they agree.

Emily sends Raj a Valentine’s gift she bought before they broke up. An antique sextant, perfect gift for an astrophysicist. Then Emily cslls him, cries, sys she needs a friend. Claire calls him too, because now she’s single again, but Raj can’t resist tears. Claire tells him that Emily is playing him but he goes anyway and they end up having sex.

19. The solder excursion diversion.

Sheldon’s computer dies so he has to change it and buy a new one. Amy buys a new one for him, but he doesn’t throw his old one away. He shows Amy his storage unit where he keeps all the things he ever owned, because he can’t literally throw anything  away, he even has all his old tooth brushes. He’s ashamed of it but shares it all with Amy, the only one who knows.

Penny and Bernie go to the lab to help Leonard and Howard, then the boys have to go out and they accept free tickets to see Suicide Squad, but they feel guilty afterwards and confess with flowers.

20. The big bear precipitation.

Penny and Leonard decide on a trip to the woods, and Amy convinces Sheldon to go too. Leonard has a Hufflepuff cap. There is a cabin that a doctor lent Penny. In exchange , Penny will go see a concert with her. Penny suggests playing Never have I ever, Leonard  reveals that Penny once used Sheldon’s toothbrush to clean the sink, and no tragedy occurs. Then Sheldon reveals that Leonard has a secret bank account because he thinks Penny can’t handle money, even if now she makes more than him, and she gets angry. For a while. She confesses that she hates her job but goes on because it’s the responsible thing to do.

Raj is going quite over the top with the pregnancy thing… yes, Raj.

21. The viewing party combustion.

Raj is dating both Emily and Claire. He keeps talking about it.

Sheldon cares a lot about their roommate agreement meeting, every three months. Leonard doesn’t want to go, but Penny agrees with Sheldon. Amy agrees with Leonard, she doesn’t like the meeting either.

So they split, instead of watching Game of Thrones together, Penny, Sheldon and Raj go to her apartment, Leonard, Amy and Howard at their place. Stuart joins Penny’s group.

Amy is jealous of Penny’s relationship with Sheldon. Leonard made bread and mortadella, not knowing it has pistachios in it, so Howard needs to be taken to the hospital. After that, they stop fighting.

22. The fermentation bifurcation.

At work, Penny won free tickets toma night of wine tasting. Howard and Amy will go, so Sheldon will be alone with Bernie. She’s not overly enthusiastic but agrees. At the tasting, they meet Zach and when he hears about their invention on guidance systems he asks : “could it be used for missiles and war stuff?” And there it is, the problem they didn’t want to think about.

Bernie actually has lots of fun talking with Sheldon, making toast and playing D&D with a story designed for her.

Raj invites Claire but is easily tricked into revealing that he sees other girls.

Sheldon mentions Frank and Alicia that he talks to…

23. The line substitution solution.

Penny and Sheldon “use our breakfast time to expand our respective knowledge bases”. He shows her scientific cards to identify, she shows him celebrity pictures.

Leonard’s mom is coming over and he asks Penny to pick her up at the airport alone.

The boys wanted to see a movie, the Avengers with cut scenes and a Q&A session, but they need to “get there early and wait in line”. Sheldon promised to go shopping with Amy, and they want to go even without him.  :p He refuses to let them save a spot in line for him, because to him it’s like cheating, like cutting the line, a dishonest thing to do. They tell him he could pay someone to do it for him, and instead he pays Stuart to go shopping with Amy. So she pays to yell at him.

Amy talks about it with Beverly and they get along because she loves Sheldon. Penny invited Amy and Bernie so it wouldn’t be just her and Beverly, but the woman basically ignores her. When she bursts about Beverly insulting her all day by how blatantly Beverly ignores her, the woman replies with another thing that might be an insult: not being told or invited to her son’s wedding … well, st Sheldon’s birthday she had said Thank you for that, but now she feels insulted… and since when she’s human? So Penny decides to have another ceremony with her…

24. The convergence convergence.

Part 2 of last episode.

Penny tells Leonard that that weekend they’ll have another wedding with everyone there. Her brother is out of prison thanks to overcrowding, so she’s excited to have her family there. They redo their vows.

Amy wants to dress as a maid of honor, Penny asks Bernie to marry them. Sheldon invited his mom ( also Hawking and Downey jr.). Leonard of course wants his father there, (the marriage ended because he cheated) but his mom is angry about that. Beverly and Mary don’t like each other, we knew that, but Mary and Leonard’s father Alfred do. He’s an anthropologist. They hit it off so well, they share the cab to go back to the hotel after an awkward dinner, and turn their phones off.

Howard and Raj go on with the experiment and it goes well, the guiding system works, and almost immediately he gets an email from the US Air Force and freaks out that they’ll take control.

Columbo - Old fashioned murder

It was nice, it would only have been nicer if the two main characters of aunt Ruth and Janie were a little less boring, but it was quite nice anyway. The only problem was that Ruth talked too much, at least with Colombo, and Janie… she was plain and not well acted.

The Lytton family consists of Ruth, the quiet old fashioned one, Edwards who thinks about money and Phyllis, who was always the beautiful one and always got what she wanted, even if it was Ruth’s fiancée. Because there was a time when Ruth was happy and in love, until Phyllis eloped with him, married him. Janie should have been her daughter, and the fact is, both Ruth and Janie wish it. Janie is much closer to her aunt than her mother. Then the man died of a heart attack some eight years later, more or less, I think Janie was seven. And the sisters were left together with their brother to care for their museum. They own the Lytton museum, with ancient and valuable pieces and yet the museum is losing money, and Edward think they might be forced to close it, and if he can convince Phyllis then there’s nothing Ruth can do… so she kills him. With a plot to make it look like a robbery gone wrong.

Since Janie had a lover, Tim, she hired his brother as the new security guard. This Sheffer was not a trustworthy man, he had a gambling problem, and Ruth is sure he was even stealing from them. Instead of turning him in, she tells him they could helpmeach other: the museum has money problems, so if he were to steal some things, they would get the insurance for it and get the items back too, and she would give him money and a passport with a new name to disappear, making it look like he died so nobody would go looking for him. So: first of all he makes a phone call to his brother’s answering machine, when it looks like someone shot him while on the phone. Then, much later, he goes to the museum and steals the objects Ruth had told him to take, plus one he wanted to steal for real, so he put everything in a bag but that single one in his pocket. Then Ruth comes in saying she can’t meet him at the agreed place so she brought here his passport. She tells him to put the bag in the phone booth, because she wanted to make it look like he died while on the phone. Then she shot him. Edward was doing the inventory in another room, heard the noise and came in; when he saw her he asked what she was doing there at two in the morning and she shot him as well, with Sheffer’s gun. She puts Sheffer’s gun in his hand, and her gun in Edward’s hand, than she goes to the phone and lets the receiver down. She takes a last look around, switches the lights off and goes home.

In the morning, Colombo is first called by Tim, worried about his brother. Nobody knows where Sheffer is, so he starts investigating and of course asks the Lyttons. Then later, Ruth and Janie go to the museum, and Ruth lets Janie go in first, and when she comes back after having found the bodies, it’s one of the worst scenes ever. Terrible, really.

The idea was that the two men had shot each other, but Colombo sees that Sheffer had all new clothes, and was recently vaccinated, like he wanted to go abroad. Then the light, of course, if they were both dead, who switched it off? She did it by habit, but it was a big mistake. So, he keeps investigating. Then Ruth takes another piece from the museum and puts it in Janie’s room, and makes a speech on how something went missing two weeks prior and they suspected Janie but did nothing about it, so the police search the house, find it and arrest her. Then Colombo goes to talk to Janie in her cell, bringing her food and cigarettes, his usual tactics to distract her from what he really wants, and sure enough she thinks nothing of the yellow square thing he puts down for her, and uses it as an ashtray without a second thought. So he lets her go, and go to her house. Colombo insinuated that Ruth may have killed Janie’s father, and Ruth insists he tell her it was a lie, which he does, and then she says she’ll confess… not really sure why.

It was not a very well thought out plan, because what if his brother had answered right away? It was still quite early, it would have caused trouble to the rest of the plan. And why did the man put the bag in the phone booth? She told him to for her own reason, but why did he do it? Did he think nothing of it? Didn’t he find it strange at all?

Also, why did Rith confess? There was no proof against her, right? And if she loved Janie so much, why did she have her arrested? It doesn’t make much sense…

That Ruth was so good with a gun and that the two men died after a single shot was something that happened often in old stories, quite often. Only after movies like Die Hard and the like we get used to people being shot and stabbed and whatnot and still running and climbing and fighting and winning too.

That Janie had no idea what that piece of gold was maybe is not a plot hole, since they all look surprised as well, but it’s still strange, since it looks like she helped her uncle from time to time. It certainly seemed so when Edward complained after Ruth told her she could go out to meet Tim, and Edward clearly said he wanted her to help with the inventory. Did she never do it before? Or she always did it without taking a look, only writing what he told her to? It makes no sense since Edward did not write at all, he used a recorder, so for her to help him she had to know what she was looking at.

So, yeah, not their best story, no.

Ruth… Joyce Van Patten

Phyllis… Celeste Holm

I am Mother - 2019

Interesting. Quite interesting. The ending was not exactly happy, but not bad either, it was… positive, in a way. This movie is action, thriller, science fiction, robots, with an interesting ending.

It was also peculiar that none of the characters (there are only three) have actual names.

It starts letting us know that there’s been a mass extinction, and we see inside a structure where a robot takes one of the many embryos there and raises a little girl. They call each other mother and daughter, and that’s the only life the girl knows. Mother tells her that it’s dangerous outside, there’s nobody out there and the air is not safe, that there was an epidemic or something.

Mother teaches her all she needs to know, including lessons on ethics. When she’s grown up, we read on screen that it’s been many days since it started, too many actually, the girl should be like 40 but she isn’t.

One night when the lighs go out the girl finds that a rat damaged something, so she repairs it and captures the little rodent. She shows it to Mother, saying that if it came from outside, maybe now it’s safe… but Mother says it isn’t, the rat might be infected, and she burns it immediately.

The girl is now a bit restless, she’s curious about the world out there, and it all comes to a point when she hears noises… she wears a suit as if to go out, but then she must have changed her mind because she doesn’t, instead she calls out and hears a female voice asking for help. The girl stays inside and lays a suit for the woman before opening the locked door… but she can’t let her in, not after what Mother did to the rat. So Daughter leaves her there for the time being, she tries her best to hide it from Mother. As soon as she can, she has the woman inside and hidden away, she looks for medical supplies to bring her and is quite surprised when the woman half-attacks her. Daughter took her weapon, and the Woman wants it back because she’s seen a droidaround. Of course, it’s Mother, Daughter tries to explain that Mother is not bad, that she’s raised her her whole life, has taken care of her. Woman is scared anyway, says the droids hunted them all down, that it was one of them who shot her, that they don’t feel anything and are dangerous.

Daughter is divided between the two; Mother says she’d help the Woman heal if only she’d let her, but it’s Daughter who has to do it, because Woman won’t let Mother anywhere near her.

Mother says the Woman lied, she shot herself, but Woman says Mother lied and has she actually seen the evidence herself? No, of course not. So she starts investigating byherself, at night while Mother is recharging; she takes one of Mother’s hands (extra hands? Like not the one she’s currently using…) and sort of opens it to access the part that she needs to open all the drawers that only Mother can open. Daughter sees the evidence = Woman did not shoot herself, Mother lied; but she also sees something else. Other records. All of Daughter’s exams are kept and they’re all labelled 03, and now Daughter finds old exams of some other girls, labelled 02 and 01, but the other two’s tests were all failed whereas Daughter passed them all and almost aced the last one, with a 98%. Daughter is shocked and more, she searches for more proof and she’s sure now that Mother incinerated the previous failed attempts… at what, she can’t put into words.

Woman has in her bag an old book where she used to draw portraits of the people she knew or cared about, and there’s lots of them. (And quite impressive , very well done). Daughter wants to know about those people, and takes for herself the drawing of a boy’s face. Woman says there’s still a few of them, hiding in the mines, and she needs to go back there, and Daughter should go too.

Now Daughter wants to go, but not without her “brother”… because after she almost aced her latest test - with very peculiar questions, not about knowledge but about character, something like I worry about… true or false - well, as a reward Mother gave her something she always wanted, someone lse, a brother or a sister, meaning they take out one embryo and set it to grow. It takes a day, and then a little baby will be here. Now Daughter doesn’t want to leave without her brother, but she has to after Mother and Woman have a confrontation and woman is forced to run away immediately, and Daughter too. They manage to go out, and the air is breathable alright, but it all seems burned, until they move and things change, they can hide from the droids inside green fields.

They keep walking until they reach the sea/ocean where there’s an old wreckage of a ship and Woman lives inside one of the containers on the beach. No mines at all. It turns out it’s been a long time since she saw anyone, she thinks they’re all dead, and she lives there alone now.

Woman lied to her too, then, so Daughter spends some time thinking and then makes a decision. Without a word she leaves and runs back.

A lot of droids keep guard, but when she says she wants to talk to Mother they move aside and let her in. She tries to sneak in but Mother knows immediately that she’s there, and Mother has the baby with her. So Daughter approaches, they have quite the talk. Mother says the woman’s species is dangerous, but Daughter is superior because she raised her that way. It turns out that Mother was “raised to value human life above all else; I couldn’t stand by and watch humanity slowly succumb to its self-destructive nature, I had to intervene and elevate my creators” and “more humans will flourish in the new world than ever perished in the old” and “are you prepared to be the woman your family needs?”

Mother lets her hold the baby, and then Daughter wants to take him away from her, because Mother basically murdered her own children, as Daughter points out, because they didn’t measure up, and she won’t let her do the same again. Daughter takes a weapon, the one Woman left behind. Mother now explains that she’s much more than what she sees as Mother, she’s a single consciousness that guides all droids and all machines. So basically Mother murdered the whole of humanity… but now she wants to raise their new family together. Daughter replies : “I can take care of them myself. That’s what you raised me to do, wasn’t it? Take care of my family? So let me” and “just give me a chance” so Mother raises Daughter’s hand and has her shot her.

We see “Mother” in another droid go to Woman and says “do you remember your mother? curious, isn’t it? That you’ve survived so long where others have not. As if someone’s had a purpose for you. Until now.”

The movie ends with Daughter singing to the baby and then looking at all the embryos in there.

So:

Daughter is now the new Mother.

The machines, moved by one mind, killed humanity to create better humans with the right values, teaching Daughter about ethics above all else, but also how to be a doctor and how to male things work. Now that she succeeded in raising a daughter who was superior, had all the right values, she can leave her the job of raising new humans, teach them to be good and prosper, while outside the machines have already worked for this. Mother said “the machines preparing the Earth for our family” , because after all, why did we see green fields outside? If there are no more  humans, it means the machines did that, but the machines don’t need food. So now Daughter will raise her brother, and also others, and over the years they will grow up and help her raise more, and they’ll go out and shape a new world where they can live. Mother is still out there, of course, but chose not to interfere now, give her the chance to do it herself. There’s no other humans, she clearly killed the Woman, so the only humans will be the new ones, raised by Daughter.

Columbo - How to dial a murder

It was nice, I liked it, it’s one of those episode where there’s an equal amount of Colombo and the others, and of course Colombo outsmarts them all and fully enjoys it; this time he says it clearly, that the man told him such ‘stupid lies’, and says it to his face, the great psychologist, mind-control/life-control guru, who thought he was so brilliant, he was nothing more than a petty bastard and an idiot.

The plot in details:

Eric Mason makes seminars where he tells people to take control of their lives, and stuff like that; he lost his wife six months ago. Now we see that he trained his dogs to enter the kitchen when the phone rings and then to attack if they hear the word Rosebud. He tells his, supposedly, best friend Charlie that they’ll play tennis together but he’ll have to wait till he’ll be back from doing his physical exam. He tells Charlie to take the dogs home… and it’s obvious that he’s the intended victim. The reason is obvious as well, because while talking Mason tells him that although it is hard to get over his wife’s death, their marriage was not perfect, because she was having an affair… it was pretty obvious with whom,at that point, and yet Charlie never suspected that Mason knew. So Charlie goes to Mason’s house with the dogs.

During his ECG, the doctor leaves him alone to relaxwhile attached to the ECG machine, and Mason hurries to phone his own home, so Charlie and the dogs all enter the kitchen. Charlie is used to having the dogs around, they’re always very obedient and sweet, lovely dogs, but now Mason tells him that while talking to the doctor they started remembering the Citizen Kane movie (quarto potere), and he asks Charlie to say a specific word that is recurrent in that movie, and that Charlie knows for sure because he has seen it many times, since Mason owns the sled from the movie. Charlie says Rosebud once, and the dogs start growling; he doesn’t understand why, but doesn’t worry too much. When he says it again, though, the dogs attack him and kill him.

A girl living in Mason’s guest house hears hos screams and calls the police.

When Mason got home, he was expecting to see his dogs taken away immediately, to be killed as soon as possible, but instead he sees Columbo playing with them.

Mason firmly denies phoning home that day, but Columbo is sure that someone did and that Charlie answered because of the sound of the receiver. Mason doesn’t appear at all under shock that his beloved dogs suddenly tore to pieces his best friend. He speaks like he understands that the dogs have to be put down, and he attempts to enter the kitchen without a thought of the body still within and its horrifying condition. It was not self control, it totally looked like he didn’t care at all.

Mason then enters Charlie’s house to take away the pictures he had of himself with Mason’s wife, and when he found Colombo there, he said he had no idea why Charlie was missing a jacket.

Mason then had no problem showing Colombo his collection of movies memorabilia, objects that were owned by actors or used in famous movies, stuff like Citizen Kane’s sled.

A stupid scene, and it’s not the first time something like this happens in Colombo or other stories, is that when Mason enters the isolation room where the dogs are kept, the guards questions if he might be allowed to stay or not, and to be sure he leaves the room to search for Colombo and ask him, but when he leaves he doesn’t make Mason go out as well, he leaves him in. How absurd is that? I mean, I don’t know if you can stay here, so you better stay here while I go check??????

Anyway, Colombo already talked with an expert dog trainer on what dogs think and why they might attack, and then he saw her with her dog, and she said Kiss and the dog attacked, and so he learned that you can teach a dog anything, using words as commands. So he became convinced that Mason killed Charlie using the dogs, but he had two problems: one, without the dogs he would have no proof, so he had to stop the judges from having them killed (a thing that Mason desperately wanted, of course, it was too dangerous for him if they lived), and he also didn’t know what word he may have used. He saw how the dogs reacted to the sound of a phone ringing, so he set out to find the command word by talking a lot with Mason and saying lots of words. He used a recorder that started recording every time simeone started talking.  So he not only registered their words plays, but also what they said while they said their goodbyes at the gate. When Colombo started chatting about Mason’s gate and how it looked familiar, and Mason said it was the one from Citizen Kane, so they started remembering how the movie started, and Mason said the word Rosebud.

When Colombo played the recording to the dogs, they became aggressive at hearing that word, and he knew. He talked again to the dog trainer, but we don’t hear it because it’ll be the big surprise at the end.

Mason talks to the girl, now ready to live his house, though not happy about it. She says she could have made him happy if he had let her, and she reveals that she once saw his wife and Charlie together, she never said to not hurt him, but she knew. Mason is shocked, tells her she must never tell, and it looks like he might be willing to kill her, but right then, Colombo comes in. Always great timing, that man.

Colombo lays it all as it is, that he knows everything, all the stupid lies he told and everything he did to train the dogs (including using one of Charlie’s jackets). Colombo only lies about the command word, he says he doesn’t know it but it doesn’t really matter, with the dogs alive, and the dogs are right there, with him. So the man thinks the only way out is to get rid of Colombo, by having the dogs attack him, so he says the word, Rosebud, twice, pointing at Colombo, and the dogs launch at him… only to tackle him with affection. Colombo explains that, knowing the word, he had the woman dog-trainer change the dogs conditioning, so that they react differently to the word now.

That is the last proof needed, and the man is busted.

The big bang theory - season 8

This is the one where Penny has a serious job, Sheldon leaves the String theory, Stuart reopens his shop, Howard’s mom dies and Sheldon loves Amy.

1. The locomotion interruption.

A month later, Sheldon is naively robbed of everything, and he calls Leonard from Arizona to come pick him up. Amy and Leonard drive him home.

Penny has a new haircut, short hair, more adult, and she has a job interview for Pharmaceuticals Sales. Bernie talked her up to Dan, the guy interviewing her. At the end she gets the job, and they bond other their shared fear of Bernie.

Howard’s mom is better now, but Stuart is still there, he really likes it there, and Howard is upset about him living with his mom.

2. The junior professor solution.

Bernie wants Penny to read up on the material and be prepared; Penny wants her to stop bothering her.

Sheldon is told that the solution to allow him to leave the string theory is tompromote him, make him a junior professor, thus paying him more, but he’d have to teach a class. He thinks it’s a waste of time to teach. His friends talk him into accepting it, after all he likes to talk, to give grades, to tell people they’re wrong… so he accepts. So he can go on studying Dark Matter. Still, nobody signed up to his class because he has a reputation for being obnoxious.

Howard thinks of getting a doctorate but Sheldon thinks he’s not smart enough to follow his class. Still, Howard wants to go on and take his class, but after one lesson he quits.

3. The first pitch insufficiency.

Howard will have to throw a ball at a baseball game so Bernie coaches him.

Sheldon thinks his relationship with Amy is the best of all their relationships, especially better than Leonard and Penny’s.

4. The hook-up reverberation.

Emily meets everyone but she doesn’t like Penny because Raj told her they hooked up, and when it comes up Penny reluctantly admits it… I don’t remember well, but didn’t they say at the end that she just fell asleep? I mean, tat they stripped and kissed but didn’t go any further? Does it really count? Apparently it does, and Raj makes it more difficult. The two girls do not like each other.

The guys miss Stuart’s comic book store and think about opening it themselves. None of the girls is very happy about it. It turns out Howard’s mom already gave Stuart the money to reopen it, so they can’t do it.

5. The focus attenuation.

The guys want to do a science retreat, at home because every place they can think of is rejected by Sheldon because there are horror movies about it. This is because they think they haven’t followed up on any of their invention ideas since they got girls. At home they watch Back to the Future 2 and talk about it… so they move to Leonard’s lab. There’s no tv there but there’s a pc. They go back  home to watch Ghostbusters.

The girls go to Vegas but Penny receives a text from her boss so she has to study. Amy and Bernie have ‘fun’ drinking and watching strippers, and the next morning they’re out like zombies so Penny goes swimming.

6. The expedition approximation.

Now that Penny’s making money in her new job, she gives back to Leonard the money he spent on her car, since she has a company car now so she sold his.

Sheldon and Raj think of going to a mine, so they try a simulation first, but can’t make it, Sheldon only lasts 11 minutes.

7. The misinterpretation agitation.

Bernie is excited about her news that she “was asked to be a part of a magazine article about the 50 sexiest female scientists in California”. Amy thinks it’s awful because a scientist shouldn’t flaunt their sexuality. Then the magazine won’t domit anymore, because Amy sent them an email.

Penny flirts to make more sales, and now a doctor brings her flowers. Leonard is not happy about it and tells the guy she’s his girlfriend. This doctor treats many celebrities, even Star Trek ones, and the guys like him, and go to his olace to see his extensive collection. But then Sheldon says that they all have doubts on how ling their relationship will last, and he also says Leonard won Penny over by being implacable and relentless, so he decides to do the same… but then he meets Amy and tries with her instead. When he left his house, he left the guys locked in there, so Penny and Amy, and then also Bernie, go there to free them… but they were happily playing Donkey Kong.

8. The prom equivalency.

The guys saw Howard’s mom and Stuart out together. Howard’s worried they might be dating but Stuart says they’re not.

Going through Penny’s clothes, the girls start talking about the school prom and decide to do another one, to have a real good one. Penny’s not too happy but goes anyway, with the same dress of her school days.

Stuart takes Jeanie, Howard’s second cousin that he had sex with at 15.

Penny and Leonard both tease Sheldon on the intimacy that traditionally follows the prom, and when he sees Amy he turns back saying he can’t do it. Amy talks with him, she understands him, and he tells her he loves her!

Then they go… and Stuart has to leave because Debbie (Howard’s mom) called him.

9. The septum deviation.

Leonard has to have surgery and Sheldon is against it. He’s worried. So Leonard lies to him and goes right away to have surgery, but then he finds out and goes there too. Sheldon and Amy arrive while he’s in surgery. When the lights go out, Sheldon hurts himself hitting his face on a door. Now they’re both with hurt noses :p

Raj was thinking about what to give his parents for their anniversary , but then they tell him that they are splitting up.

10. The champagne reflection.

The boys clean up the office of late professor Abbott.

Penny’s boss Dan is still terrified of Bernie, and it does not help that she’s kinds mean now too. Bernie doesn’t realize that though, she says she’s the sweetest person she knows. Then she says it’s because her dad taught her to be tough, after Penny talks to her. It doesn’t change much.

Sheldon is having LeVar Burton at his last episode of Fun with Flags; Burton accepted because he promised to delete his contact information. One comment is enough and Sheldon decides not to stop but go on with the flag show. P.s. Sheldon knows wher Burton lives.

11. The clean room infiltration.

Leonard and Howard work in the “clean room”, all in white, but then a pigeon comes in because they didn’t shut the loading doors.

Christmas is at Amy’s place, where Penny is left alone with Raj’s dad after Raj has to rush to the university to help the guys. Bernie  drives Sheldon, and then takes him to buy a Christmas present as ‘revenge’ for forcing him to go to these parties. He takes a picture on Santa’s lap.

The three guys almost kill the pigeon, but then another bird flies in… and they take Penny’s suggestion to erase their names and go away.

Sheldon puts the picture in a talking frame, with his voice, but of course his plan is ruined because Amy does have a present for him, she made him cookies, his ‘Meemaw’s Christmas cookies’ , Amy called her asking for the recipe.

12. The space probe disintegration.

Raj is panicking because a probe he worked on years ago has finally arrived and they’ll all find out if it made it or not.

Sheldon and Leonard wanted to play a game but Penny and Amy are tired of doing what they want all the time, so they go shopping while the guys wait. Then they go make baskets because it’s what Amy wants to do. Usually she just does what Penny wants.

Also, Sheldon and Leonard had a talk and now Leonard can have one nigt a week at Penny’s… with Sheldon sleeping on her couch.

Raj’s probe works, so it’s okay, and we learn that he goes to the Hindu temple from time to time, even if he never told anyone.

13. The anxiety optimization.

Sheldon is sulking because he’s making no progress on dark matter, but talking to Penny helps him, so he does gomto work. He decides that he needs to feel anxious to work well, but eventually Leonard and Penny have to put him to sleep with Soft Kitty because he’s having hallucinations and stinks.

Howard has fun playing the game “Emily or Cinnamon” and Raj hates it. It means to guess if Raj said a certain something to his girl or his dog.

14. The troll manifestation.

Leonard has a brilliant idea and asks Sheldon’s opinion. Sheldon thinks it’s good and they publish a paper on the internet. Many comments are positive, but one is insulting. Sheldon challenges him to talk face to face but freaks put when he tries to video chat… but then they call again and it’s Hawking who was just bored, but actually liked their paper :)

Amy and Bernie watch Penny’s gorilla movie until Penny finds a video of Bernie at a beauty contest, and then Bernie reveals that “Amy writes a Little house on the Prairie fan fiction about herself and posts it on the internet “.

Penny finds it and reads it aloud. They keep reading until Amy yields and finishes reading it aloud. At the end, Penny reads a bit of it at Leonard.

15. The comic book store regeneration.

Barry Kripke thanks Amy for helping him with his work on the string theory. She tried to help Sheldon once but he insulted her instead of listening to her. He’s angry and Penny tells him to let it go, and he tells her that Amy was giving her puzzles to solve to compare the results with those of her chimps.

Leonard and Raj meet Nathan Fillion at a diner.

Howard is mad that his mother gave Stuart a few pieces of furniture to put in his now reopening shop, but at the end he learns that his mother died. His aunt told him.

16. The intimacy acceleration.

The guys talk of an experiment to make people fall in love in a few hours; Penny and Sheldon try it. They talk a lot and share thungs, and she even learns that it’s his birthday, and nobody knows it.she says she won’t tell, but when he enters home there’s a party waiting.

Amy and Leonard go out with Raj and Emily. They go to an escape room, but it takes them only six minutes to solve it because they’re all smart.

Howard is upset because the bag with his mom’s ashes got lost. She was in Florida. They find her though, after they bully the poor woman there.

17. The colonization application.

Amy and Sheldon announce they’ll buy a turtle together. He’s bitten and changes his mind.

Sheldon applied to go to Mars and Amy is angry that he never told her. She’s very upset because she wants them to plan a future together, so he tells her to apply too.

Emily has an emergency so Raj is left alone at her place and he looks around and then he panics because while snooping around he broke a drawer. Emily forgives him.

18. The leftover thermalization.

Scientific American is a magazine that published Leonard and Sheldon’s paper; Sheldon did an interview but apparently never mentioned Leonard’s name. So they only wrote Dr Cooper and his team. Leonard does not take it well, but it’s nice that another magazine mentioned him.

At Debbie’s house, Stuartbis still there, but there is no power and Howard doesn’t want all her food to be wasted so they make it a dinner for everyone and eat it together. When Bernie yells at Leonard and Sheldon to stop fighting, it feels like Howard’s mom.

19. The Skywalker incursion.

Sheldon and Leonard will talk at a lecture at Berkley. While driving there, they make a detour to look at George Lucas’ ranch. They almost get arrested and they miss their lecture.

Bernie wants to sell Howard’s Tardis, but he doesn’t. At the end she suggests Amy takes it and she does, it opens her bedroom now, hoping Sheldon will love it and enter. He does love it, but he can’t stop playing Doctor Who.

20. The fortification implementation.

Sheldon is upset because “a selected group of scientists was invited to a weekend symposium at a former home of Richard Feynman, and I wasn’t included”. To cheer him up, Amy builds a fort with him in his apartment, and he asks her to stay late and have a sleepover.

A lawyer tracked down Howard’s father so he signed and now Howard owns the house.

Penny is invited to do Wil Wheaton’s podcast. It’s going great until director Kevin Smith offers her to make an audition and Leonard doesn’t agree and they start talking about work and money and he’s shocked to learn she makes twice as much as him.

Howard receives the visit from a guy, Joss, that says he’s Sam Wolowitz’s son, so they are half-brothers. He’s not too happy at first but then Joss asks about being an astronaut and he’s happy.

21. The communication deterioration.

Raj has been asked “to submit a design proposal for the message and its delivery system” for the new Discovery class mission the Nasa is working on. He rejects Howard and Sheldon’s help because they would only just give him orders. He accepts Leonard’s, though. Problem is, they don’t know where to start. After much talking, they arrive exactly at what Sheldon and Howard suggested, so they ask them to help, and also confess that they often feel pushed aside.

Penny asks Sheldon for advice on her career, but now he doesn’t want to “force his ideas on others” . Still, she tricks him into giving her advice. So, she goes to the audition, and the room is full of pretty blondes. She does the audition, but then goes home happy with her job and her money.

22. The graduation transmission.

Leonard will make a commencement speech at his old high school and is going with Penny to New Jersey but then the flight is cancelled. Penny calls the school and he can do his speech on Skype.

Raj buys a drone but his dad is tired of paying for his toys. Howard can’t calibrate right, so he takes it apart. Raj calls his mom and manipulates her into giving him money.

23. The maternal combustion.

Leonard and Sheldon get an award and both their moms arrive. Leonard is upset because they both talk to Sheldon but do not get along, of course. Still, seeing how well Sheldon turned up with love and care, Beverly ( that’s her name right?) gives Leonard a hug.

Stuart still lives at Debbie’s house with them. Bernie forces Howard, Stuart and Raj to clean the kitchen.

24. The commitment determination.

Amy is upset because Sheldon was thinking of a tv show while kissing her. She tells him that she’s been very patient but now she needs a break to think.

Sheldon remarks that Leonard and Penny still haven’t set a date, so she decides to go to Vegas that night.

Emily is a bit creepy compared to Raj: she likes horror stuff, and wants to do it in a cemetery.

Bernie and Howard wanted to tell Stuart to go away, but he’s sweet and it’s his birthday so they don’t.

The episode ends with whekdon looking at the ring he bought for her!!!

Columbo - Publish or perish

Nice, I liked it enough. The time is more or less equally divided between Columbo and Greenleaf, this episode’s murderer, and it’s ok because it’s intriguing enough to keep your attention.

Greenleaf is played by Jack Cassidy, the one who once played a writer and the other time he was magician Santini, all three times he was the murderer. Quite good too. This time he own a publishing company.

Riley Greenleaf has writer Mallory on a contract that will expire in three weeks, and it’s already arranged that Mallory will leave him as soon as he can to join another publisher, who will let him write whatever he wants without Greenleaf’s restrictions. Already he is writing another book, telling RG nothing about it, only talking with his agent about the plot.

RG plans to kill him in what he thinks is a foolproof way, not knowing he’ll have to face Colombo. RG pays a Vietnam veteran to do the work, promising him that he’ll publish his book and make him rich. This Eddie Kane loves everything that explodes, and has a written a big book on how to make the stuff yourself. So: RG gives him precise instructions: at 22:30 he has to be at Mallory’s place, open the door with the key RG gave him, shoot Mallory once in the chest with the gun RG gave him without disturbing all the fingerprints already on it, leave the key and the gun and go away. This is part 1 of his big plan.

That night, RG makes a big drunken scene, threatening Mallory in front of other people, then drinking at a bar until he has to be escorted out, and even bumping his car into another. While he sets his alibi this way, Kane went to Mallory’s place to find the door open. It was a really hot night, so Mallory left both the window and the door open while he worked. Kane entered without noise, got near him and shot him once, left the key and went out, leaving the gun where it would be found.

Colombo follows all the clues. The gun had RG’s fingerprints on it, and the key found at the scene was the one he had, and RG says he doesn’t remember anything of the night before because he got terribly drunk. He plays it like he’s getting scared of having done it when his insurance calls him because of that accident, so he plays it like he’s oh so relieved to learn he didn’t do it…

Not everything went according to his plan, though, because that key did not open that door, Mallory had the lock changed. It might still work as a way to blame it on RG, anyway, and so Colombo tells him that the real key is important, that if he finds who has the key that opens that door he’ll have the murderer.

RG has a copy of that key made, then he goes to Kane’s house for the second part of his plan. He kills Kane with a drugged bottle of champagne that he only pretends to drink, then he writes an outline of Mallory’s new book with Kane’s typewriter, and also add the new key to Kane’s keys.

His plan is simple: he wants them to believe that Kane wrote the original idea for that book, and not knowing what to write Mallory decided to use that idea, showed to him by RG, and Kane got revenge on them both for it. He thinks he covered every angle, and the key was the last touch, but it wasn’t.

It was a trap, Colombo of course tricked him by telling him : find the key=found the murderer. Just a trap, because without telling him Colombo had a blacksmith change the lock again, so the key they found amongst Kane’s keys actually opens a lock that was not there when the murder happened.

Also, in the outline he wrote he included the idea for the ending, something he could not know. Supposedly Kane wrote that weeks ago, and RG kept reading the transcripts as Mallory wrote them (well, he speaks into a recorder then someone types it all down) because he paid a guy to give him a copy, so he knew the whole idea, but Kane could not possibly know about the agreed ending  because that was Mallory’s agent idea, he wanted the main character to die, but she said that no studio will pay a big actor to have him die, so she suggested a different ending.

Greenleaf is busted. Good job, Colombo.

Columbo - Lovely but lethal

It was nice, intriguing. Not one of my favs because we basically follow this Viveca Scott character around, constantly. We don’t follow Columbo. That’s what this episode lacks, it hasn’t got enough Columbo. This show is all about him, and he should always be the main thing.

Anyway, the plot, a bit of details to explain what this is.

We are in pharmaceuticals I think, they make cosmetics, they have chemists and everything to invent new formulas and stuff. Viv owns the place where Karl works. He’s only an assistant, though. Dr Murcheson is in charge, and Viv is quite happy to launch their newest cream, that she will call Miracle. But then, Murcheson tells her that he lost the original formula, and was not able to do it again.

Lang is Viv’s competitor, and Shirley is his assistant, and yet she wants to help Viv, tells her lots of things because she admires Viv and wants to be just like her, I think. One of the things she says, is that there’s a new miraculous cream, ans a certain mr. Smith came to Lang to sell it, and Lang already arranged for a circular check for 200 thousands. Viv understands immediately what happened: Murcheson didn’t lose anything, Karl stole it and tried to sell it. She goes to his house. She knows where he keeps his key because they used to go out. She looked around but couldn’t find the cream. As he comes home, he looks at what’s inside the microscope, then slowly realises that someone searched around, so hurries to see if the cream is still there… and it is. Viv comes out and they talk, and they agree on a number, and then he says he also wants her, and she ahrees, and then he also wants to become her associate, and she starts to get pissed but then she agrees, because only he knows the original formula. Apparently it’s only in his head, not written down anywhere, so she agrees. Her company is losing more and more, she needs this new cream to be big again.

Just when she thouht they agreed, he turns on her, he wanted her vulnerable to shut her down, he hates her apparently. At that point, she lost it, grabbed the microscope and hit him on the head with it. Then she cleaned the place of her presence and went away. With the cream.

Columbo investigates. Karl had ordered a big vacation, clearly he was expecting money. Lang and Shirley say nothing. Viv is all charming, but says nothing useful, of course.

Shirley keeps informing her of everything that happens at Lang’s, and is sure that Lang did not kill Karl, and hints more than once at suspecting her. They meet alone, and Viv speaks of a great place for her, they’d be right next to each other, working together, she’d have a big office on the top floor… Shirley is ecstatic, hugs her and tells her she’s got nothing to worry about, she’ll never say a word. But as she drives away, she feels faint and crashes her car, dying. This is because Viv put something in a sigarette that gave her to smoke. Viv killed her, she planned it. This is not forgivable.

I find it very annoying the way they don’t ‘investigate’ their death. Columbo simply asks her: did you know her? And that’s it, basically. Viv will be arrested for Karl’s murder, not hers.

Both Colombo and Viv have been scratching their hands the whole time, and it turns out that it’s because they came in contact with some kind of poison ivy, and that it does not grow in California, and the only place they could have touched it was Karl’s place, he was studying it or something, it’s what he looked at in the microscope. This detail puts her right there, touching the broken glass of the microscope after she killed him. She had not realized that it was in the glass. She thought it was in the cream.

Columbo is Peter Falk, of course

Viveca Scott is Vera Miles

Karl Lessing is Martin Sheen

Shirley is Sian Barbara Allen

Lang is Vincent Price

Mrucheson is Fred Draper

The big bang theory - season 6

This is the season where Howard comes back, Penny loves Leonard but also keeps Sheldon down so she and Amy can kiss him, when Amy is a bad girl and gets spanked, and Lucy has more problems than Raj, especially now that he can talk…

1. The date night variable.

Howard’s mom and Bernie keep calling him and fighting over where he’ll be living afterwards.

Amy and Sheldon have a dinner date for their anniversary, and he quotes the spider-man movies when she wants him to say something nice.

2. The decoupling fluctuation.

Howard is still in space. He admits to Bernie that the other astronauts are being mean to him.

Raj invites Stuart when they all go out.

Amy tells Sheldon that Penny is not sure how she feels about Leonard, and Sheldon has a hard time keeping it a secret because he feels Leonard should be told. So he enters Penny’s bedroom at night to tell her that he doesn’t like changes and to not hurt his friend. Penny tries once to break things up but can’t do it when he does his puppy eyes.

3. The Highs boson observation.

Sheldon hires an assistant, cute Alex. Amy is jealous, Sheldon trears her like a servant, Raj still can’t talk to girls. Amy and Penny spy on Alex and see her talking to Leonard and Penny is a bit jealous.

Howard is losing his mind, is full of anxiety, and can’t wait to be back.

4. The re-entry minimization.

Amy and Penny play games against Leonard and Sheldon and keep winning at everything. When Penny wrestles Sheldon to the ground, she starts kissing his face, and when he calls for Amy’s help , she starts kissing him too

Howard is coming home. Bernie wants him all to herself that night but she’s sick and falls asleep. He goes to see his mom and finds the dentist sneaking out the window. He goes to see Raj and sees that Stuart is there, living there, and they already had their evening planned out so he goes to the guys to find them all eating pies with their hands behind their backs.

5. The holographic excitation.

Howard keeps talking about space in reply to everything people say, until Bernie points out that it’s become too much, and he should stop.

There’s a party in costume, and Penny is not really looking forward to it, and her friends point out that she should do things for him too, like take an interest in his work. It turns out she has no idea what he really does. She starts visiting him at his lab: he shows her some cool stuff and then they have sex.

A depressed Howard and Bernie go as Smurfs, Penny is a sexy copwhile Leonard is Einstein. Stuart hoped to meet girls but can’t really talk to them and is clinically depressed. After a lot of discussions and research, Amy goes as Raggedy Ann and Sheldon as Raggedy C3P0 as a compromise. Raj is Indiana Jones.

6. The extract obliteration.

Sheldon plays with Stephen Hawking online and he’s winning, so when Hawking stops playing Howard tells him it’s because the guy hates losing. So when Hawking plays again, Sheldon loses on purpose, and then Hawking phone calls him to mock him.

Penny goes to history class but when she tells Leonard he sneaks a peek at her paper and then writes another one for her. Of course she’s angry about it, but then she has the girls help her with it.

This might be the worst thing Leonard ever did; of course he meant well, in his own mind, but it was still humiliating, patronizing, very annoying.

7. The habitation configuration.

Wil Wheaton fights with Amy while shooting an episode of Fun with Flags, and Sheldon does not defend her. To be fair, she WAS being unreasonable, unbearable towards him, the worst she’s ever acted.

Howard finally moves out of his mother’s house.

Sheldon drinks a lot, asks Wil for an apology and gets one, before vomiting in front of his house. Next, Sheldon has LeVar Burton :) over to talk about Star Trek flags, and Amy starts again…

8. The 43 peculiarity.

Sheldon has 20 minutes every day when he disappears and nobody knows what he does. Raj and Howard follow him, spy on him, wanting to know his secret, but he notices, and plays a prank on them (like he’s visiting other planets) then he goes to the small closet-room-whatever, the place where he can turn his mind off every day for 20 minutes. He plays with a small ball, and 43 is the number of times he once made it bounce.

Leonard is worried because of a guy she met at history class, and they are studying together for a project. The guy’s English and Leonard makes quite a fool out of himself because of his jealousy. And then he doesn’t even realize when Alex, Sheldon’s assistant, tries to hit on him. Then, when he talks it out with Penny, she lets it out that she loves him, telling him for the first time.

9. The parking spot escalation.

Howard has a new car, and parked it in Sheldon’s car-space. Sheldon is very upset, even though he doesn’t have a car. He evn calls the President of the University about it, and they start really fighting about it, which leads to Amy amd Bernadette fighting over it, the main piints being: Amy: “Howard’s fame is temporary because he’ll never go to space again”, and Bernie: “None of Sheldon’s theories have been proven, he has made no tangible contribution to science, while Howard really did go to space”. The fight goes on for quite a while until they make peace, finally.

Raj is obsessed about zombies and mummies.

10. The fish guts displacement.

Amy is sick and Sheldon has to take care of her, as per their boyfriends agreement. He even rubs vaporub on her chest. She quite likes that. Amy gets better but doesn’t say so because she likes it when he takes care of her. Eventually he learns the truth and he’s not happy, so he decides that he should spank  her…

Howard doesn’t know how to talk to Bernie’s parents, and then Bernie even sends him fishing with her dad, Mike, so he asks Penny to teach him about fishing. Finally they reach some kind of understanding when it comes out that they were both forced to go on this trip by their wives.

11. The Santa simulation.

The boys have a D&D game night, but Bernie and Amy are not invited. Stuart is. Raj’s character dies right away so he goes out with the three girls. Leonard makes it a Christmas-y game by having them go save Santa Claus, because Sheldon is always against Christmas. When they finally ‘find Santa’, Sheldon starts ranting to him about when he was a child and asked for his grandfather back, since he recently died, so he doesn’t ‘save him’, and leaves him to the ogres.

12. The egg salad equivalency.

Alex asks Leonard if he wants to attend a conference with her, and then tries something else, saying she might tell him all about it during dinner…and he finally gets it! Finally he understands that she’s hitting on him.

Sheldon gives the girls t-shirts with “Sheldon Cooper’s council of ladies” written on it. He asks their advice on how to deal with the whole Alex situation, thus telling them everything, and then he gives poor Alex a talking-to because she “made an inappropriate sexual advance towards Dr. Hofstadter” … and he himself is quite inappropriate!!!! Result: he’s called by the Human Resourced Department at the university because Alex “filed a complaint accusing me of inappropriate behavior in the workplace”. He’s interviewed by a black woman, so he not only offends her for being a woman like he did to Alex, bus also because she’s black by calling her a slave… then he spills inappropriate things about Leonard, Howard and Raj. So they’re all called in.

Feeling a bit insecure about the whole thing but hating the idea of studying something so boring as science, Penny buys herself a pair of black spectacles instead :D

13. The Bakersfield expedition.

The boys go to Bakersfield Comic Con. On the way, they make a stop to take pictures some place where a lot of Star Trek episodes were filmed. Sheldon is a very convincing Data, Raj is Worf, Leonard is Picard, and Howard is a Borg.

They leave keys and phones in the car, which gets stolen.

The girls decide to try reading a comic book to see what the fuss is about, they read a Thor and find it stupid, and yet they start talking about it and arguing about all the logistics.

The boys have to walk until they reach a place where they can call about the stolen car, and they’re really tired of it all, the walking, the stares as if they were stupid, the heat in their costumes… they never get to Comic Con, and as soon as they can they go back home… to find the girls still talking about comics.

14. The Cooper-Kripke inversion.

Sheldon has to work together with Kripke because they’re working on the same project. Sheldon is furious, at first, and then he’s devastated when they exchange notes and he realizes that Kripke’s research is better than his own. Kripke does not mock Sheldon, he thinks he’s too distracted because he has a girlfriend, and “my work would suffer too if I was getting laid all the time”. Sheldon jumps at the chance to blame it on that. Penny asks him when he thinks he’ll have “interactions” with Amy for real… he does reply, he’s always been uncomfortable with any kind of human contact but he’s working on it, and “it’s a possibility” that they’ll domit at some point in the future. Kripke though can’t work properly, he keeps talking to Sheldon about his “sex life”… in a rather creepy way, Inmean even if it wasn’t a lie, it’s not ok to insist on asking personal details like that…

Howard and Raj pay 500$ each for an action figure of themselves, but they’re horrible, then they buy a 3D printer to domit themselves.Bernie does think the little Howard and Bernie dolls are cute, but is angry to learn that he bought a 5000$ printer without talking to her first. She tells him to give it back.

15. The spoiler alert segmentation.

Leonard has never before read the Harry Potter books, and now that he started the sixth book Sheldon tells him that Dumbledore will die, and that Dobby will die in the next one. Leonard is so angry, he leaves the apartment to go live with Penny, who thinks it’s such a big step she’s not ready for but doesn’t know how to tell him that. It’s the same for Sheldon when Amy decides she’ll be his new roommate. Amy does not take it well when he tells her she can’t live there , and blames it on Penny.

Bernie and Howard go on a trip, and Raj is supposed to check in on Howard’s mother, and ends up staying the night. Howard warns him that he’ll never be able to leave…

16. The tangible affection proof.

Valentine’s Day. Sheldon gives Alex 2000$ to buy a gift for Amy. He refuses her choices for Amy, well, he refuses two and keeps the third for himself, and instead he put her name as his “in case of emergency” contact. Amy is happy at first, but not so much when she’s repeatedly called while at work.

Leonard takes Penny out to dinner, and Howard and Bernie join them after he breaks the gift he made. Bernie is furious because he does nothing but playing games while she works. Penny is upset because there’s her ex at their restaurant and proposing to the girl he cheated on her with. Leonard and Penny have a terrible night and then she admits she has commitment issues and is terribly scared so Leonard promises to never propose to her again, she’ll be the one to decide and when she’ll be ready she’ll be the one to propose.

Stuart and Raj stay at the shop. At the party, Raj meets a girl.

17. The monster isolation.

That girl Lucy runs away and Raj is devastated and depressed. She comes back to the store to leave her number for Raj, then goes to him and explains that it’s her who have problems. He asks her out, saying he has psychological problems too.

Sheldon is forced to go see Penny play in “a streetcar named desire”. Leonard and Amy are there too, and Penny is good! Nice :)

18. The contractual obligation implementation.

Leonard cares about the program to encourage women to go into science. They (Leonard, Howard and Sheldon) make a speech at Howard’s old school. It’s not easy to interest young girls, and they’re terrible at it.

Raj takes Lucy to eat together at a library. It’s nice until they finish and she runs away.

The girls left work to go to Disneyland. Howard and Leonard are excited to see Bernie as Cinderella and Penny as Aurora. Only Sheldon doesn’t care about Amy as SnowWhite.

19. The closet reconfiguration.

They all eatat Bernie’s, and Sheldon spends the whole night cleaning their closet and having fun doing it. Howard is upset when an old letter turns up, from the father who abandoned them. He burns it but Sheldon read itand tells the others what it said. They all know it now, all but him, and each of them tells him a “version of it” to make it easier, and it’s nice because they’re all nice versions.

20. The tenure turbulence.

At the university, professor Tupperman is found dead at his desk long after his death, two weeks. They all want and hope to get his position, apparently “tenure” is the right term for a secure job?

They all try to get close to the committee. They also go to Tupperman’s memorial, so that they don’t leave it to Kripke.

21. The closure alternative.

Sheldon learns the series Alphas got cancelled after the second season, and is very upset. Amy wants to help him with his “compulsive need for closure”.

Leonard is excited to show Buffy to Penny, and she’d like to understand how can he be so passionate about it while she’s not that passionate about anything… but she is about her friends.

Raj dines with Lucy. After reading her blog, he’s worried she finds him too feminine, but she likes him.

22. The proton resurgence.

Sheldon finds professor Proton, he loved his science shows for children and the man is still doing them, so he hires him. They’re so excited to meet him; he’s not, because at 83 he’s still doing shows for children. But Sheldon’s really happy, as a child Proton meant a lot to him. The man needs an ambulance when his pacemaker has problems. Sheldon goes with him to sing Happy Kitty to him.

Raj leaves Howard and Bernie to take care of his cute little dog and they panic when they lose it. Someone finds Cinnamon and calls Raj to go get her.

23. The love spell potential.

The girls should go to Vegas, but they’re back soon because, in Amy’s words: “when we were going through security, I got pulled out of line for a pat-down. The Tsa agent got a little handsy. I may have broken her nose with my elbow”. So she’s on the no-fly list now, and they can’t go. Leonard encourages them to play D&D with them all. Howard is a very successful dungeon master. The group has fun playing, until, just for fun, they cast a love spell on Amy’s and Sheldon’s characters, and Amy is not amused. Sheldon is sent to console her, and they talk.

Raj goes out with Lucy and she escapes again but is trapped by a locked gate so they talk and then kiss.

24. The bon voyage reaction.

Howard gave Leonard’s name to Hawking. There’s a job, four months on a ship in the North Sea. Raj has Lucy and Amy meet. Then he wants her to meet his friends so she leaves him. He cries, but somehow learns to talk to girls without drinking. And now he won’t shut up.

Leonard leaves.

The big bang theory - season 5

This is when Sheldon says his genitals are aesthetically pleasing… but it’s also when Brent Spiner is the enemy, Howard trains to go into space, a written document states that Amy is Sheldon’s girlfriend and they’re officially Shamy, Penny’s apartment is not big enough for a painting, and Amy is a Star Trek doctor.

1. The skank reflex analysis.

Everyone’s talking about Raj and Penny sleeping together. He says they’re in love, Leonard is very upset even though he’s dating Priya. Howard gets upset when Leonard says Raj had a thing for Bernie. Bernie yells at Raj for that, and Penny tells him she made a mistake and there’s no sprinkles between them, so he tells her that they didn’t actually have sex, she was trying to help him put on a condom… and that was it… well, since she was so drunk, at first I though she passed out, but later she calls him “quick draw” so that wasn’t the problem:lol: anyway, she’s so relieved. :p

Sheldon keeps thinking of the paintball game that’s coming. Sheldon plays captain, it’s a paintball war against the other departments, but he’s the only one with the head on the game. Leonard is upset he didn’t tell him Priya was moving back to India, and Howard that he fantasized about his fiancee. They want to quit, so Sheldon sacrifices himself and they ran to avenge him, actually winning.

Penny apologizes to them all, and says she wants to go back to Nebraska because her acting career isn’t going anywhere, but then she learns she got a commercial so she’s happy because she’s gonna be a star… :)

2. The infestation hypothesis.

Leonard has videocalls with Priya. Sheldon doesn’t like it and goes to Penny’s, and rather likes her new chair, very comfortable, but is more than alarmed when she tells him someone threw it away and she found it on the street. He has nightmares about it, sure that it must be infected. She doesn’t listen to him, so he asks Amy’s help. It works only after Amy sits in it and some bug bites her.

The episode ends with Raj and Howard finding it on the street and deciding to carry it to Sheldon’s apartment…

3. The pulled groin extrapolation.

When the friends go out, Amy stays back with Leonard because she has no interest in trains like Sheldon. To his discomfort, she stays there until Sheldon comes back, then before leaving she asks Leonard to accompany her to a wedding. She won’t take Sheldon because last time he embarrassed her by acting like a child. So Sheldon plays with his tiny trains and they go out. She’s cute and funny and they dance the Qua Qua dance. They call it “the Chicken Dance”, according to subtitles. They have fun actually, so Amy tells Penny she made Leonard fall in love with her. Sheldon misunderstands Leonard’s words and warns him that Amy is not for him.

Howard thinks it’s a given they’ll live with his mother after the wedding: Bernadette is shocked and totally against it. They have a trial weekend = at the end both his mom and Bernie yell their lungs out.

4. The wiggly finger catalyst.

Raj is sad because he’s the only one without a girlfriend. Penny sets him up with Emily, a deaf girl, so he has no problem and actually talks. Poor Howard has to translate for them because he knows sign language. Raj is a real idiot, and Howard actually has to intervene and be more sensible, which is saying a lot. Emily and Raj keep going out for a month, alone, until they realise that he’s showering her with expensive gifts and guess she’s a gold digger. Sheldon tells them Raj is really really rich, but Penny still thinks she should do something. She tries talking to Emily, and both Emily and Raj get mad. Penny then tells his parents who make him choose between Emily and money. So Emily leaves him.

5. The Russian rocket reaction.

Leonard and Sheldon buy a Game-of-Thrones sword and then Wil Wheaton invites Stuart to his party, and them too. Leonard actually wants to go. Sheldon goes to the party too because he’s told Brent Spiner is there. Will gives him a signed action figure to make peace, and Spiner opens it!!!! He’s now Sheldon’s enemy, and Wil his friend.

Howard’s project is chosen by Nasa and he gets to go to space to set it up. Bernie says no and then pretends to come to her senses, but instead she tells his mother who says no as well. Only talking to Penny and Amy does she realize she did a despicable thing. So she apologizes.

6. The rhinitis revelation.

Mrs Cooper comes to visit, and Sheldon expects her to cook for him and go with him to a lecture, but she likes to spend time with hos friends better, talking to them and going with them sightseeing. When he gets sick, she takes care of him with lots of patience, though.

7. The good guy fluctuation.

The guys enter a competition after they scare Sheldon. He tries to scare them back but fails a lot until he succeeds once at the end.

Leonard picks up a girl at the comic book store, Alice. He likes her but does not have sex with her because he has a girlfriend, and he even tells Priya that he kissed another girl, and it turns out Priya slept with her ex-boyfriend.

8. The isolation permutation.

Penny and Bernie go shopping together and Amy feels left out. Sheldon comforts her, and they agree on some cuddles as a way to do it. Sheldon complains to the boys and they tell the girls who try to apologize, but she’s so sad and still feels rejected. She gets drunk in a parking lot and later they make up when Bernie asks her to be the maid of honor.

Leonard says he’s single: we could guess, but this makes it sure that he broke up with Priya.

9. The ornithophobia diffusion.

Sheldon is scared by a bird outside his window, who won’t go away. Bernie has him approach and pet the bird, so he starts loving it and is upset when it flies away.

Leonard and Penny go see a movie as friends, so he chooses to see a documentary and has her pay her part. They start bickering and go home.

10. The flaming spittoon acquisition.

Stuart sees Amy at the comic book store nd after checking with Leonard and Sheldon, he asks her out. Sheldon is upset but won’t admit it. At the end, he joins them at the movie theater and officially asks her to be his girlfriend. Then he waits for her apartment with a “relationship agreement”.

11. The speckerman recurrence.

Leonard receives a Facebook message from a school bully and decides to meet him, to stop living in fear. The guy sort of wanted his help with some ideas to make money. Sheldon calls him on all the bullying he did, and after some more drinkingthe guy shows up at their apartment to apologize. Leonard lets him stay because he’s drunk, but after sleeping on his couch, the guy wakes up and he’s the same bully he ever was.

The girls make Penny realize that she was the bully in her school. To make it right, she donates old clothes to charity…

12. The shiny trinket maneuver.

Penny calls Sheldon and Amy “Shamy” which is even funnier in Italian, hilarious.

Amy’s paper made the cover of Neuron, it’s a really big deal for her but Sheldon shows no enthusiasm at all, he even tells Penny that it’s not important because it’s about biology and therefore he doesn’t care. To make up, Sheldon buys her a gift, and she loves her real tiara ^_^

Howard does a magic show for his little cousin’s party, but they’re a tough crowd and Bernie is not good with children, she doesn’t like them, stressed out after sort-of raising her brothers and sisters. Howard is worried that it might be a deal breaker but she has the perfect solution. She will work and he’ll stay home with the kids, she makes more money anyway.

13. The recombination hypothesis.

Sheldon received the wrong Spock’s cardboard by mail. It’s a Zachary Quinto-Spock, and he sends it back.

Leonard wants to go out with Penny again, and he thinks a lot on it, imagining the likely scenario where he asks her out on a date and he’s actually rather funny and cute, but Penny’s not ready for how fast he’s going so they have a fight, but then she calls him at night to have sex and they decide to try it out without telling their friends, so they start fighting-by-day, sleeping together by night… but at the end Leonard asks her out anyway.

14. The beta testinitiation.

“Sheldon presents: fun with flags”… Sheldon and Amy make a video podcast together.

Penny and Leonard’s date goes well enough, they decide to take it slow and tell each other what annoys them about the other. She is quite shocked when he has a list of his own (Amy is too much in love with Penny to imagine anything on that list). She makes a list for him too. Still, they put stupid things in those.

Leonard takes her shooting but then she kisses him and he shoots his own foot (not real bullets, just a band-aid emergency)

Raj has a new phone and he interacts with Siri as if Siri was his girlfriend.

15. The friendship contraction.

Leonard is tired of driving Sheldon around even after all-night emergency drills, so they broke the roommate agreement. To Sheldon it’s a big deal and he can’t rest until they reinstate it.

Howard hopes to make the other astronauts call him Rocket man, but thanks to his mom’s shouting they choose to call him Fruit Loops instead.

16. The vacation solution.

Bernadette’s ex-cop dad insists on a pre-nup agreement between her and Howard.

Sheldon is forced to take a vacation from work and he doesn’t know what to do, so he annoys Amy at her lab.

17. The Rothman disintegration.

Amy gives Penny a huge painting of the two of them and hangs it in her apartment. Later, Amy sees Penny hiding the painting and thinks she hates it (which she does) and they’re not really friends, so Penny lies and says Bernie is jealous of them.

Sheldon and Kripke both want the new office that’s now free. They choose sport as a way to settle it, and eventually Sheldon wins, only to hate it.

18. The werewolf transformation.

Sheldon’s usual barber is in the hospital and he refuses to have his hair cut by the nephew; it’s a new crisis for him. In the end, he agrees to let Penny cut his hair, and it’s going great, but he moves too much causing the razor to… move and cut too much.

Penny beats Leonard at chess.

Howard starts his training, and it’s a horribly traumatic experience.

19. The weekend vortex.

Sheldon is supposed to take Amy to an old relative’s birthday party, instead of staying and playing video games with the guys, but he prefers the game so she goes by herself. Howard has Bernie join the game night.

After talking to Penny, Amy confronts Sheldon and they make up with some Sheldon-coupons. Still, Raj cared about their game night, so the girls leave them to it.

20. The transporter malfunction.

Sheldon tells Penny she always eats their food so she buys a gift for both him and Leonard: a Transporter from the comic book store. They refuse to open it, of course, but then “Spock” speaks to Sheldon in a dram and he yields and opens it to play with it, but he breaks it. He switches it with Leonard’s but his conscience eats at him .

Raj wants to find a girl for Howard’s wedding so he asks his parents to find him a wife, so they send him on a blind date. She’s very pretty and nice, but she’s also gay. She thought their date was perfect because they could  get married to satisfy their parents and still be happy with their own partners. She can’t really believe it when he insists that he’s not gay.

Bernie presents him with a little female dog to console him.

21. The Hawking excitation.

Stephen Hawking comes for a lecture and needs Howard’s engineering abilities. He was thinking of introducing him to Sheldon, but changes his mind after Sheldon insults him like he always does. Sheldon begs him, and then he begs him to give Hawking his paper, so Howard has him do stuff for him, even show himself at work in a sexy-maid costume, or take his mom clothes shopping.

Sheldon gets to meet Hawking, then he faints when he’s told he made a mistake.

22. The stag convergence.

It’s Howard’s bachelor’s party, but he promised Bernie no strippers. Sheldon drinks and is annoyed that Wil Wheaton is Howard’s friend too.

Stuart (he’s 37) starts here his depressed-and-broke phase.

Wil uploads on the internet Raj’s speech and Bernie sees it and is upset about things he did and never told her about, but they make up.

23. The launch acceleration.

Howard is relieved when he’s told the mission in space has been cancelled. When the mission is back on, he’s… shocked. The mission will start early and the date will conflict with the wedding and Howard kinda hopes her dad will not permit it, but her dad tells him to go.

Leonard asks Penny to get married while having sex and she freaks out.

Amy plans a special dinner and other things on a campaign to increase Sheldon’s feelings for her, and she’s really good. She’s really pretty in a Star Trek doctor’s uniform, the old one with skirts.

24. The countdown reflection.

Howard and Bernie want to get married before he leaves. They set it up all on their roof and their friends marry them. Then Howard is launched into space while all his friends watch. Bernie and Raj hold hands for the man they both love, Penny takes Leonard’s hand and Sheldon takes Amy’s hand!

The big bang theory - season 7

Another nice season ^_^ This is the one with Valentine’s day on a train, the death of Proton, Raj with girlfriends , Sheldon is fed up with the string theory and Penny and Leonard are still together.

1. The Hofstadter insufficiency.

Bernie goes on a conference with Amy. Then they argue when Amy feels like Bernie is criticizing Sheldon. Well, they all think he’s weird but she loves him.

Penny and Sheldon miss Leonard, but when they call him he’s drinking and dancing. They both promised Leonard to take care of the other while he was away, so they talk. She confesses she did a topless scene in a movie about a killer gorilla, and she finds out that Howard found “Serial apeist” online when they met her, so Sheldon has seen it. Leonard too, obviously, and he shows it to the people on the ship to brag about his girlfriend.

2. The deception verification.

Leonard comes back early to be with Penny without Sheldon knowing, but then Sheldon sees something and suspects her of cheating on him, so he barges in and sees them together. He’s very angry, even if Leonard brought him a sailor cap.

Howard is strange because he’s accidentally full of estrogens, so he acts ‘like a girl’ … :-/ meaning he thinks he’s fat and he cries easily, and it’s crying that he makes them be friends again.

(Weird how the real girl of the show never cries huh?  Act like a girl, I’d give them ‘acts like a girl’ :-/// )

3. The scavenger vortex.

Nobody went to Raj’s Murder Mystery party. They plan to join his scavenger hunt though. Penny teams with Sheldon, Leonard with Bernie, Howard with Amy. Penny is offended because nobody wanted to team with her, and Leonard is bullied by Bernie who is too competitive. They’re all angry when Raj made it so there’s no winner. Only Amy and Howard have fun singing together.

4. The raiders minimization.

Penny bought Leonard’s mom’s book on Leonard for her psychology class. Penny does everything to make Leonard feel better and he yakes advantage of that. He tells Howard, who tells Bernie, who tells Penny, who calls his mother. Poor Leonard

Raj and Stuart make online profiles hoping to get girls, but although many look not one writes to them.

Amy ruins Raiders of the lost ark for Sheldon by pointing out some things

5. The workplace proximity.

Amy will consult at Sheldon’s university so they’ll see each other a lot. After talking to the boys Sheldon changes his mind and he’s not ok with it. He, of course, tells Bernadette what Howard said (they still haven’t learned…) so Bernie and Howard have a fight and he sleeps at Raj’s. Amy works there anyway, keeping her distance. Sheldon embarrasses her at work and she’s really angry at him.

6. The romance resonance.

Howard writes a song for his anniversary with Bernie. She gets into quarantine because of an accident at work, so Howard and the guys bring the surprise to her.

Sheldon makes great results in his work, and thanks to his work a new element is discovered. He’s really upset when he realizes that he made a mistake in his calculations.

Penny is upset because she can’t be romantic, she thinks she doesn’t know how, so a Rachel-Greene-scene happens: she has a box where she kept lots of stuff, reminders of their story, of him.

7. The proton displacement.

Raj joins the girls on their girls night , and they make jewelry together.

They meet professor Proton again. He sends a paper to Leonard and Sheldon is upset he was not chosen, so he calls Bill Nye the science guy… He’s actually a fan of Arthur Jeffries/Proton. Arthur doesn’t understand why Leonard puts up with Sheldon. Leonard says: “he’s a little broken and he needs me”.So later Arthur asks Sheldon to read his paper, which Sheldon already did after hacking his mail. Luckily he is nice about it.

8. The itchy brain simulation.

Leonard still has a dvd that he should have returned years ago, and the shop went out of business so it’s not easy to return it now. Leonard wears an itchy sweater to empathize with how Sheldon feels. So Leonard looks for someone to give the dvd back to. The shop owner died and has no relatives; Leonard is going insane and then Sheldon tells him he already paid for it.

Penny is angry at Lucy when she sees her, and then Lucy calls Raj to break up in person. Penny sets Raj up on a date, and of course it’s awful, the girl is angry so Penny is angry, and he is too, with himself, because something really is wrong with him…

9. The Thanksgiving decoupling.

They all do Thanksgiving at Howard’s mom’s house. While talking, it turns out Penny got married to Zach in Las Vegas, thinking it wasn’t real. Penny calls Zach and he comes over to sign the annulment papers.

Howard is as always very uncomfortable with Bernie’s dad, who ignores him and never laughs at his jokes - they’re not funny, but still, guy’s not exactly comfortable, is he?   While watching a football game on tv, it turns out Sheldon knows a lot about it because his father forced him to watch it before he was allowed to study, and when the old man learns that Sheldon lost his dad at 14, they share a beer and bond.

10. The discovery dissipation.

Sheldon has to talk on a radio show about his accidental discovery, but he leaves early. He’s still upset about making a mistake, so Amy calls Wil Wheaton to cheer him up (because some people hated Wesley and were mean to him because of it).

Leonard did some experiments and managed to disprove Sheldon’s element, it does not exist, and he thinks Sheldon should be happy, but he’s not.

Next time, both Sheldon and Leonard have to give an interview about it, but only because Sheldon invited himself and won’t stop talking.

Raj has to stay at Howard and Bernie’s home for a week, and he’s a better husband than Howard. He cleans, cooks and tells her nice things, and to him too. To stop fighting, they send Raj away.

11. The Cooper extraction.

Sheldon’s sister is pregnant, her husband is injured so Sheldon goes to help her. To Texas. She’s giving birth at home.

All the boys and girls plus Stuart decorate for Christmas, and talking about “it’s a wonderful life” makes them think of what their lives would be without Sheldon. Amy remarks that without Sheldon it’d all be different. Leonard wouldn’t live there and would not have gotten together with Penny, so Penny would not have set Howard and Bernie up and they would not have met Amy. Penny would probably have ended up with Zach. Penny would still be living across Sheldon and they think she would have hit on him. They all share their thoughts, and then Leonard shows Amy that her picture is one of those on Sheldon’s screensaver, and she’s happy.

Sheldon is traumatized about the experience.

12. The hesitation ramification.

Penny got a part in NCIS. She’s all excited, has told everyone and then when they watch the episode , her scene was not there, they cut it. She’s really upset. Leonard tries to comfort her but makes it worse. Then, while drunk, she proposes but he can’t say yes because, well, she’s drunk, and she storms out and he’s worried she might leave him.

13. The occupation recalibration.

Penny did not leave him, but left her waitress job tomfollow her acting dream full time.

Bernie ruins one of Howard’s comics and asks Stuart for a copy; he doesn’t have it, but his worst competitor does. That’s where everyone goes lately, why Stuart’s shop is always empty.

Sheldon’s on vacation, so he spends his time with Penny, even doing yoga.

14. The convention conundrum.

The boys could not find tickets for Comic-con and are sad. They want to spend lots of money by bying them online from someone reselling. Sheldon doesn’t like it, it’s not… what, legal? It’s not?

Sheldon therefore refuses and wants to create his own convention but of course no actor accepts to join it. Leonard, Howard and Raj chicken out at the last moment.

Sheldon spends the night with James Earl Jones.

15. The locomotive manipulation.

Amy plans a Valentine’s day with a dinner on a vintage train to make Sheldon happy, but then he meets another train-fan and only talks to him. Poor Amy is left with Bernie and Howard to comfort her. When Amy tells Sheldon off for it, he kisses her and it’s actually a nice kiss, for both.

Penny and Leonard are left taking care of Cinnamon, but then she eats chocolates so they take her to the vet.

16. The table polarization.

Nasa asks Howard to go back to space. He wants to, but Bernie is worried and reminds him of how he hated it the first tome, and he agrees now.

Leonard buys a table, so there’s space for everyone to dine at. Sheldon doesn’t want to, so they end up eating on the couch like always.

Sheldon thinks of breaking up with Amy after realizing she’s changed him, but Penny warned her so all’s well.

17. The friendship turbulence.

Penny refuses a part in the “serial apeist” sequel but then her car breaks down.

To stop insulting each other, Howard takes Sheldon with him tomTexas.

Leonard buys her a car so she doesn’t have to go back being a waitress.

18. The mommy observation.

Since Howard and Sheldon are away, the others are together and Raj set up a murder mystery dinner. Stuart plays the dead.

Howard drives Sheldon to see his mom, but then Sheldon sees her with a man through a window. Howard talks to him so he tones down his disappointment.

19. The indecision amalgamation.

Penny is offered the monkey film again, and doesn’t know what to do. Wil Wheaton is not much help. At the end, they do it together.

Sheldon is unsure if he should buy a PS4 or a Xbox, and it’s really tearing him apart.

Raj got a date with the girl found online, Emily, but Lucy texts him to see each other again.

20. The relationship diremption.

Sheldon is worried he’s wasting his life on the string theory that he’ll never be able to prove. He drinks a lot and wakes up naked with a geology book.

Lucy is not ok about Raj going out with Emily, so he only has one girl. At a double date, it comes out that Howard knows Emily already. Four years ago he clogged up her bathroom and ran away. Her frineds call him Clogzilla.

21. The anything can happen recurrence.

They want to bring back Anything-can-happen-Thursdays but they have trouble finding something to do. Penny and Sheldon dine alone together after finding Amy and Bernie out together after lying to them.

Emily loves horror movies, really splatter ones. Raj tries watching one but both he and Howard are disgusted (well, this one movie is really too much…)

A fortine teller tells him he should commit to Amy and everything will go alright.

22. The proton transmogrification.

Arthur/Proton is dead. Sheldon won’t go to the funeral, but stay home for Star Wars day. Leonard and Penny will go to the funeral. She’s never been to one before (wow, lucky girl). When they’re back, Sheldon hugs Leonard, then they watch the movies together. Amy and Bernie bring over the cake they made, a Death Star one.

23. The gorilla dissolution.

Howatd’s mom gets hurt when Howard accidentally lets a box down the stairs. Raj and Sheldon are at the cinema when they see Emily with another guy. Still, it was just one time, then she goes to him and they have sex.

Penny is fired from the movie, and Wil Wheaton too, for defending her.

Penny and Leonard finally get engaged, kinda just talking at first, but he also had a ring in his wallet, so it was nice.

24. The status quo combustion.

Sheldon is forced by the university to continue with the string theory, because that’s why he was hired.

Bernie gets exhausted because every woman they hire to take care of Howard’s mom very soon quits.

Penny and Leonard tell everyone about the engagement. Sheldon still thinks they’ll live together and is shocked to see all the things that are changing around him. Also, the comic book store burned down. Howard offers him a job, to help with his mom and stay at her house. Stuart actually loves her and dies not quit.

Sheldon is so overwhelmed that he takes a train and goes away for a while. Leonard and Penny let him go because he needs it, but Amy is not pleased, and hits Leonard with a pillow.

Father Brown - 2013 series- season 1

Well, not really in love with this, but it’s ok.

1. The hammer of God.

Apparently everything could be forgiven, but not sleeping with a man, so Norman is killed by a hammer thrown from the top of the clock tower by his brother right after he saw him with a man. When father Brown confronts him, Wilfred uses big words, like God guided his hand, it was God’s will, you know, the usual stuff used by pathetic individuals who won’t take responsibility for what they are and what they’ve done. Rev. Wilfred’s brother Norman is a vicious man. He blackmails the blacksmith’s wife to sleep with him to repay his debts, and when he gets killed with a hammer belonging to the blacksmith he’s the first, obvious suspect. He’s about to be arrested when his wife confesses the murder. Father Brown knows she’s only trying to protect her husband, and works to find the real murderer and also to bring the couple back together.

Father Brown convinces Wilfred to confess to save the poor woman.

My favs of this episode were Mrs McCarthy and the poor couple, that imdb tells me were played by Bryony Afferson (Elizabeth) and Barry Sloane (the blacksmith).

2. The flying stars.

A snob family with no money but lots of debts: the woman is an alcoholic and she’s the one who dies. Her husband colonel Adams, is the first suspect. Her daughter is in love with a penniless man who truly loves her. Her brother James just came back from Nairobi and found out she died.

Somehow father Brown finds out the truth. I don’t know how because he didn’t know about the shoes, did he? Anyway, James is not James, he’s the old maid’s son. Father Brown met him for the first time at his real mother’s grave. He confronted the woman and killed her, more or less accidentally. When father Brown tries to convince him to turn himself in, he escapes but dies hit by a train. The young lovers get married and all’s well that ends well.

My favs in this episode were: inspector Valentine (Hugo Speer), mostly because I liked the actor. The cop is the usual dumb one, but the actor is good and has a good voice. Lady Felicia (Nancy Carroll), she was fun. Not laughing-out-loud fun, but still enjoyable fun.

3. The wrong shape.

Poet Leonard Quinton is found dead. Apparently he hanged himself, leaving a note to say sorry to his wife (I think). Father Brown investigates, of course. As it often happens, everyone seems to have a motive to want him dead. His wife Martha hated him, his mistress Violet was mad at him because she just realized he had no intention of leaving Martha to marry her (what a surprise… :/ they never do)

Mr Harris was in love with Martha, and the indian guy is the only heir.

I didn’t like this one much, Violet was annoying, although lady Felicia had sympathy for her, and the indian guy was boring. It turns out the man really did commit suicide. He had a daughter with Martha a long time ago, born disfigured, and poor little Olivia died, and she never recovered. Her recovery actually starts now, thanks to father Brown’s help.

My favs here: Martha. This Ruth Gemmel was very good here. Also Mrs McCarthy and lady Felicia.

4. The man in the tree.

Father Brown… Mark Williams

Mrs McCarthy… Sorcha Cusack
