Thor - 2011

Only 2011, it seems such a long time since this film came out, and yet it's only 2011. How strange. Anyway, I liked it very much :-) Who knowing the characters (Thor, Loki, Odin are well known names, right?) wasn't smiling when Loki (Tom Hiddleston) said to Thor (Chris Hemsworth) "there's nothing you can do without defying Father" and then started to play wisdom "no no no no, it's madness" ? I was :-) Anyway, he's guilty of other things sure, but not this one, Thor decided to go to Jotunheim because he was an arrogant, vain and stupid boy in a man's body. He'll come to realise this himself! I loved Loki :-)
I also loved Heimdall (Idris Elba), Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) who Thor calls "son of Coul" , Darcy (Kat Dennings), the line "base, we've got Xena, Jackie Chan and Robin Hood" I guess they had no funny names for the fourth one :) , since they were Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) and the Warriors Three, not two  and Erik (Stellan Skarsgard): "I still don't believe you're the God of Thunder, but you ought to be".
Of course Thor is the beautiful hero, but from someone forever in love with Raistlin, Loki certainly takes it al. The scorn brother, always in the shadow of the strong but reckless Thor, who always felt different from the others, always WAS different (he didn't know at the start, but he's not the son of Odin (Anthony Hopkins, not my favourite choice), he's the son of Laufey (Colm Feore)), that chooses the wrong way in order to become important, to everyone but most of all to his father Odin. What chance did I have, really? Plus, this Loki has a very nice voice, and way of speaking :-) Also, the look on his face when he let go at the end, that was touching , wasn't it?
It was directed by Kenneth Branagh,  Jane Foster was played by Natalie Portman, Thor's mother by Rene Russo and Fandral by Josh Dallas. At the end, we see that Stan Lee has been credited as "Stan the Man" :-); he was of course the man driving that car/truck/pickup or however you call it, trying to lift the hammer. After the credits, we see Erik meeting Fury and being showed a strange source of power, and we see Loki, just to reassure everyone that he's not gone for good. That could never happen! He's Loki!!! and this is Marvel: they never kill anyone for good!  It was just a little taste of what we'll get to see in The Avengers : Loki!!! yeah, that's all I need to know, thanks :-D
