The mystery of the Blue Train - 2005 film/tv-episode

Apparently this is Agatha Christie's Poirot: The mystery of the Blue Train, season 10 episode 1.
There are a lot of differences from the book, but I guess they made the film easier. Things like Ruth Kettering  (Jaime Murray) being a fan of Hercule Poirot, having LaRoche (Oliver Milburn), Lady Tamplin (Lindsay Duncan), her husband Corky (Tom Harper), her daughter Lenox (Alice Eve) all on the same train, Katherine Grey(Georgina Rylance)'s father that killed himself after Rufus Van Aldin (Elliott Gould) head him into bankrupcy or something like that, Derek Kettering (James D'Arcy) actually loving his wife, Mirelle being not Derek's lover but Rufus'  sent by him on a mission to seduce Derek to facilitate the divorce, Ruth's mother being alive and a nun, Derek and LaRoche playing cards together, Derek helping hin to steal her jewels in payment for his debts, Katherine's attempted murder, Knighton's suicide... very different indeed.
It was never my favourite book, though, and here seeing Derek desperate for his lost love was nice, and Lady Tamplin's family is actually fun! In the book I only liked Lenox. Also, in the book I didn't like Ruth, but here, I liked her a lot. Katherine was nice both here and there, she was exactly how I imagined her! Doesn't happen very often :-)
Knighton was Nicholas Farrell and Mirelle was Josette Simon.
