1 - The one with the jellifish

Rachel gives Ross a long letter to know what he thinks of all the things that bother her, but instead of reading it he falls asleep. I don’t like him, but to be fair it was the middle of the night and also18 pages front and back is quite long indeed.

He lies to her saying he read it twice, so they’re back together, but then he reads the letter and is upset, he does NOT take full responsibility for the failure of their relationship.

It doesn’t take long for him to explode and repeat that they were on a break, so they fight and break up again.

Chandler still makes jokes about Monica dating him. Because of jellyfish burn, Chandler pees on her leg (because she couldn’t do it herself and Joey couldn’t do it) , so at the end they just leave it at that, he’ll always be the guy who peed on her…

Phoebe tells Ursula about their birth mom, but she already knew because there was a suicide note and a poem from the mom they knew that Phoebe knew nothing about.

2 - The one with the cat

The furniture Joey built that was too big is so annoying that Chandler can’t stand it anymore and wants Joey to sell it (they all call it the ‘entertainment center apparently).

Joey locks himself in the thing and a guy steals all their stuff (well, he left the art dog). To be fair, you can’t even say he tricked him, because Joey suggested it to him and then entered voluntarily, so…  still a thief though.

Phoebe thinks the spirit of her dad mom Lily went into a cat she met (a male cat, btw). Someone is looking for that missing cat, but the guys can’t tell her because Phoebe seems happy to ‘have her mom back’. Ross ends up telling her himself, rather bluntly too.

Monica goes out with Chip Matthews, a guy who cheated on Rachel in high school, but he never grew up, still the same stupid jokes, the same old job, still living with his parents and seeing all the school friends, so it ends there.

3 - The one with the ‘cuffs

Joey brings in some old stuff from the basement, so they have a couple of chairs now.

Monica agrees to cater for her mother for money, but she loses a nail in one of the quiches and her mom had frozen lasagnas in case something happened. It was kind of worth it though, because later her mom has to agree that she had been a bitch (her own word) and that Monica was good.

Chandler meets Joanna again and they have sex. Rachel is worried for her job again. He should break up with Joanna (why, only because Rachel told him to???)  but ends up waiting for her handcuffed at a chair in her office. Rachel unwisely frees him, but she shouldn’t be able to enter the office at all, so she makes a deal with him, so he lets her handcuff him again.

Joey buys an encyclopedia book. Only one because he only had money for one book. To his credit, he appears to actually read it, but then the others start talking about Korea, which does not start with a V.

4 - The one with the ballroom dancing

Supervisor Treeger makes Rachel cry calling her a spoiled princess who doesn’t think of people who clean after the mess she makes, so Joey goes to him to make him apologise, but instead he says that Monica is illegally subrenting her grandma’s flat, so Joey has to beg him not to evict her, and in exchange he will help the super to learn dancing. Joey enjoys the dancing a lot.

Chandler doesn’t know how to quit the gym so Ross goes with him and he ends up have a subscription too when Maria comes out. They try to close their bank accounts but end up with a new one when Karen comes out.

Phoebe has the hots for one of her clients but she’s not allowed to do anything with clients. At the end she ends up telling him she has a crush on him and they kiss but her boss finds them like that and fires her (also the man is married…).

5 - The one with Joey’s new girlfriend

Chandler really likes a new girl, Kathy, but she’s actually going out with Joey. He really likes her, a lot, thinks she’s beautiful and funny and they have a lot in common. He’s in a very difficult position when he realises he’s actually in love with her.

Ross is trying to make Rachel jealous going out with Amanda after their kids play together, so Rachel finds a guy for herself, Josh. Amanda thinks of him as the dad of a boy who plays with her kid and who can babysit for her, but Josh is a young guy who calls people ‘dudes’ and steals from Rachel.

Phoebe has a cold and she thinks she got a sexy voice out of it, so she’s really upset when she’s well again and loses her sexy voice.

6 - The one with the dirty girl

Ross is seeing a super-beautiful girl, who is also a ‘palentology doctoral candidate’ and everyone is stunned that he managed to get a girl like that. Problem is, her apartment is a total mess, really over the top. They break up because of it.

Chandler buys a rare book for Kathy, but can’t give it to her unless Joey gives her something cool as well. Since there’s nothing better and he really wants Kathy to have that book, he gives it to Joey so he can be the one to give it to her. She loves it and she knows he bought it for her.

Phoebe lends Monica the money to get the stuff for a catering job, but then at the funeral she has trouble asking for the money because the people start crying to get out of paying, so Phoebe helps her.

7 - The one where Chandler crosses the line

Joey has another date with a new girl called Cacey, but still goes out with Kathy (how is it sometimes it is okay to say that nobody said they were exclusive while other times it is cheating?). Chandler really wants him to chose the other girl and leave Kathy. Left alone while Joey is out with Cacey, Kathy cuts his hair (it was already cut short though…) and it gets a little intimate, and then they kiss. Out of guilt Chandler buys lots of stuff for the apartment so it’s full again. Kathy breaks up with Joey, and he’s okay enough about that, but not so much when Chandler tells him about the kiss (which happened before they broke up). 

Ross says that he played keyboards in high school and college, and they want to hear ‘his sound’.   They all lie about liking (all but Phoebe, that is). He even plays at the Central Perk, but stops when Phoebe doesn’t want to play after him.

8 - The one with Chandler in a box

Joey is so angry he won’t talk to Chandler. He’s really too much about it, come on. (He also thinks Va fa Napoli is a swear word…) Joey goes as far as wanting to leave the apartment. To make peace, Joey wants him to stay locked in a box for hours. Eventually Kathy comes to break up with him so to not be the cause of the break of their friendship. Joey forgives him at once so Chandler can run after her.

Monica has to see an eye-doctor. Richard is out of town, so his son Timothy sees her, and they sort of start going out. It ends at their first kiss when it reminds her of Richard.

The boys find out that Rachel always exchange all and every gift and Ross is very upset. 

9 - The one where they’re going to party!

Monica and Phoebe are in the catering business together. 

Gandalf comes to town, a guy Ross and Chandler are so excited to see because they always have crazy parties with him. Gandalf can’t come, so Joey makes them go out with him, and they realise that they’re not 20 anymore, they’re 29 and like some comfort.

Rachel wants a job as assistant buyer, but Joanna sabotages that because she wants her to keep working with her, so she offers her a new job. Her own office and all, but then Joanna dies, hit by a car.

Monica writes a horrible review of a restaurant, then the guy there hires her as head chef, which is awkward because she was the one asking Phoebe to do catering together. The fired chef was the father of three people working with her, though, so they hate her.

10 - The one with the girl from Poughkeepsie

Rachel tells Chandler that she wants a man, even a fling would be fine, so he sets her up with someone from work, and he tells them that she’s ok with just a fling, so they fight for the chance. She gets angry when she likes the guy but learns that Chandler told them, and then again when the guy breaks it off because he told him she wanted to get serious.

All Monica’s coworkers still hate her and want her to quit, so Joey starts working there as an excuse so she can fire him in front of everybody, but then he gets 500$ tips for two days of work (since it’s the holidays) so he doesn’t want to be fired, but then he sees she’s suffering too much and allows her to fire him. 

Ross finds a nice girl, but she lives in Poughkeepsie, more than two hours away, but then he’s so tired he always falls asleep.

11 - The one with Phoebe’s uterus

Frank jr is married now and now asks Phoebe to be their surrogate mother. Her birth mother gives her a puppy so she’ll understand how hard it will be to give it away. It is hard, but then she gives the puppy to Frank and Alice because she likes to see how happy they are. So she agrees.

Chandler is still happy with Kathy, but they still haven’t have sex yet because he’s afraid he won’t be as good as Joey. After their first time, he goes to Monica for help, and she draws him a sketch and it really helps.

Ross finds Joey a work at the museum, as a tour guide. Ross will sit with Joey even though doctors and tour guides always sit separately.

12 - The one with the embryos

Apparently the boys’ chick is actually a rooster and it wakes everybody up too early.

The boys (Chandler and Joey) think they know the girls (Monica and Rachel) better than they know them, so Ross writes some questions. The boys bet getting rid of the rooster and the duck and the girls of giving them their apartment. The girls lose because they don’t know Chandler’s job. Rachel doesn’t want to move.

Phoebe starts the procedure. Frank and Alice are putting all their money on this so they only have one shot. She does get pregnant and everybody’s happy.

13 - The one with Rachel’s crush

Chandler and Ross go to see Kathy’s new play and are shocked… and now Chandler is worried that that extremely good-looking actor will steal her away. So he confronts her and they fight. When eventually he goes to her to apologise, he sees the actor’s pants so they break up.

Rachel’s department has been eliminated and she’s down to Personal Shopping. She’s thinking of quitting but then hot Joshua walks in. 

Monica is cleaning out the small apartment because she misses being the hostess and wants them to hang out there.

14 - The one with Joey’s dirty day

Rachel is finally asked out by Joshua, the same night she has to take out her boss’ niece visiting from London. She asks Ross to take Emily out but then she doesn’t see Joshua, the name on the list was wrong.

Ross ends up in Vermont with Emily, and really really likes her.

Joey had a role in a thing with Charlton Heston, but he went fishing with his dad and then woke up late so he ran to the place all sweaty and smelly and used the private shower of Heston and got busted.

Chandler spends the episode depressed about his breakup, but his guys are both busy so he only has the girls to help him. They manage.

15 - The one with all the rugby

Chandler goes with Rachel to have a manicure and meets Janice again, and has trouble getting rid of her. He tells her he has to go to Yemen, so with her he packs all his stuff, buys a 2100$ ticket and goes to Yemen.

Ross wants to impress Emily and agrees to play rugby with her British friends.

Monica is obsessed with a switch in the apartment that nobody knows what it does.

16 - The one with the fake party

Rachel is going mad in trying to get Joshua to notice her, so she invites him to a party at their place (the big apartment, of course) and forces her friends to have that party right away, making it a Goodbye Party for Emily who is going back home. Ross doesn’t want to leave her though.

After many embarrassing moments, she finally gets him.

Phoebe is upset because, being pregnant, everything makes her nauseous, and the baby only wants her to eat meat, so Joey agrees not to eat any until the baby is born.

17 - The one with the free porn

Chandler and Joey’s tv suddenly shows porn, so they watch porn all the time refusing to turn off the tv because it might go away.

Phoebe has three babies inside her, not one.

Emily is about to go back to London. Ross hurries at the airport to tell her that he loves her. She says thank you and hurries on the plane that is leaving. She calls him after she lands but she already had another guy. Monica talks him into going to London to fight for her, but she came to America for him, so they say their I-love-yous on the phone.

18 - The one with Rachel’s new dress

Phoebe has to choose a name for one of the three babies, so Chandler and Joey compete to have her choose their name. Chandler schemes so she chooses his name.

Ross is upset because since Susan is working in London now, she spends time with Emily and they get along so well that Ross is worried. Ross rants to all his friends and Phoebe explains how he became a crazy, jealous person because of Susan.

Rachel has a romantic dinner at home with Joshua, but he freaks out when he sees the duck and the chick. They leave for his parents’ place. It should be empty but his parents are back, so she meets them while in her lingerie. She pretends it is a dress.

19 - The one with all the haste

Rachel hates the apartment and the singing guy across the building. The girls try to get their old apartment back. They end up switching the apartments while the boys are out, then Monica and Rachel kiss for one minute.

Ross got an earring and the boys make fun of him. He is tired of Emily leaving because she works in London, so he thinks of asking her to move in with him. He ends up asking her to marry him, and she says yes.

20 - The one with all the wedding dresses

Joey starts snoring. He has to go to a sleep clinic. Chandler meets a pretty girl there, but she talks in her sleep.

Rachel thought they’d have a year of engagement, but the date is set in a month. Rachel is so shocked that she asks Joshua to marry her. They break up.

21 - The one with the invitation

Ross starts thinking back about Rachel. So basically it’s a long flashback of Ross-Rachel moments.

Ross sends an invitation to Rachel too. She doesn’t know if she wants to go. 

22 - The one with the worst best man ever

Phoebe is really big by now, and she had terrible mood swings, and they help her when she gets sad she won’t get to keep them.

The girls throw a shower party for Phoebe, but since she’s not gonna keep the babies, they don’t give her baby stuff but presents that she can’t use for another six months. 

The boys fight over who gets to be Ross’ best man. 

Joey plans the bachelor party and sleep with the stripper, and the next morning the wedding ring is gone. Chandler is the one to help them out. The girl didn’t steal anything though, the duck ate it.

Finally Ross says he wants then both as best man - if it’s possible, he should have done it from the start, but it’s ok, this show is not about making sense, it’s mostly about comedy, I know :)

23 - The one with Ross’s wedding: part 1

The London episode.

They all leave for London. Only Phoebe and Rachel stay behind. Rachel realises she’s still in love with Ross only because Phoebe tells her. Rachel wants to go tell him, but Phoebe tries to reason with her. Rachel goes anyway, and leaves her alone.

Everything is going wrong for Emily, the food, the flowers, the church, it’s all a disaster. Monica suggests postponing the wedding, and Ross is upset. They talk and everything’s ok.

Chandler is embarrassed by Joey’s tourist attitude.

24 - The one with Ross’s wedding: part 2

Phoebe tries to call and warn someone that Rachel is coming to ruin the wedding.

Phoebe manages to tell Joey about Rachel, but then he’s kissing a girl when she arrives, but then she sees Ross kissing Emily so she shuts up. 

Joey starts being homesick. A crazy guy thinks Monica is Ross’ mother, and Chandler tries to cheer her up. In the morning, we see that she slept with him. Him being Chandler, of course, not the crazy guy. They are really embarrassed by it all, but still plan to meet up again.

Ross says Rachel’s name at the altar. Ends with this cliffhanger…
