It’s season six, and Chandler is now double the man he was in season three, physically.

I really loved his story with Monica, I think I heard that they had initially thought of it as just a hook up of some sort, and only later decided to make a big deal out of it, but it doesn’t make sense, I mean this couple is the only one that makes sense in the whole show, since the first season they were always together and being so cute together, it’s only right that it happened. Well, at least I’m glad it did because it was super cute and they were adorable.

1 - The one after Vegas

Ross and Rachel wake up in the same bed not remembering anything of the night before. At breakfast they have finally managed to clean their faces. They are actually being told about the marriage, and need to get an annulment.

Chandler is once again scared of marriage, but this time Monica is too, thinking this is not the right moment.

Phoebe and Joey go back by car, because someone has to and he didn’t want to do it alone, but he kept falling asleep so he stops for a hitchhiker and lets him drive.

Ross doesn’t want to be ‘divorce guy’ so he doesn’t want to annul the wedding, and he actually asks Rachel to do him this favour and just… stay married. She insists and he promises he’ll get the annulment, but he lied and didn’t, and he confesses to Phoebe.

Chandler suggests living together and Monica is all for it.

2 - The one where Ross hugs Rachel

Ross insists on not wanting to have three divorces behind him. Phoebe forces him to discuss this with her and three random women, and one of them says it’s all because he still loves Rachel, so to prove he doesn’t he goes to his divorce lawyer and tells him everything, but to get the annulment he has to bring Rachel in front of a jury, so he doesn’t do it.

When Monica tells Rachel, she’s all happy about the news because she thinks the three of them will live all together! When she makes it more clear, Rachel doesn’t even cry. That was because she didn’t believe it would really happen, though.

3 - The one with Ross's denial

Rachel can’t find a new place so Ross tells her she can live with him.

Monica and Chandler fight over the empty room (once Rachel moves out) and also about Chandler’s chair, because he is kind of right, she wants everything her way as it always was, she had this same arguement with Rachel once. Ross is upset because now Rachel won’t go living with him, so he has them make peace.

Joey tells him that it’s a very bad idea because with the closeness she’ll fall for him again.

4 - The one where Joey loses his insurance

Phoebe’s psychic told her she’s going to die this week, then the psychic dies instead.

Joey has no more health insurance and he got hernia, so he goes to his audition bent in two, until he gets the part of a dying man and gets his insurance back.

Ross fakes an English accent at his lectures (not very well, though, the girls were much funnier with their fake accents). Moving into his apartment, Rachel is there instead of him when his divorce lawyer calls and she learns they are still married.

5 - The one with Joey's Porsche

Joey found the keys to a Porsche (he calls it Porshaa… is it really? Nah) and he pretends it’s his because people love it. After the guy takes his car away, Joey wears Porsche stuff from head to toe.

Phoebe has to babysit the triplets and she has Monica and Chandler to do it with her. When Chandler swallows little toy parts, Monica has to take him to the ER, and Phoebe has to take care of the babies all by herself. It’s tough, but she manages.

Rachel is, of course, still mad about being still married. They go in front of the judge but Rachel went rather on the board on the forms, saying the reason for the annulment are that Ross is mentally unstable, a drug user, gay and unable to consummate… so, at this last one, he loses it and talks about their past relationship, so of course they can’t have an annulment but must get a divorce. They do, and then Rachel recalls that it was her idea to get married while they were so wasted drunk.

6 - The one on the Last Night

Now Chandler is moving out, he teaches Joe how to take care of things, like the rent and all the bills, he had no idea, I guess Chandler paid for everything. Chandler tries hard to find a way to give him money without bluntly giving it to him, to save his pride (because he says he doesn’t take charity, which is weird since he did it every day for years). He tries really hard, then makes up a card game, without real rules, only so he can say that Joey wins, but then the idiot plays it with Ross and loses everything. Joey wants to give Chandler the big white dog (now, apparently, he loves it and will miss it, they kind of hated it years ago…). Ross of course won’t give the money back to Chandler, so Chandler plays for it…

For their last night as roommates, Rachel has Monica help her pack, and then since they are sad Phoebe tries to cheer them up thinking of what they will Not miss, and that’s how they start fighting. Rachel doesn’t want to move anymore, saying it’s her apartment too (well, no, it’s not!!!!) .

Anyway, they make peace and Rachel goes to live with Phoebe now that her roommate is out for some time.

7 - The one where Phoebe runs

Joey’s new roommate is Janine, the super-hot Australian dancer. He can’t ask her out because they live together, but it’s hard for him. Then he tells her about the vibe between them… but she tells him she’s not interested in him, which he never considered. He tries his “how you doin’” line and she doesn’t fall at his feet and he’s shocked.

Rachel goes running with Phoebe, but of course Phoebe has a weird way of doing it (well, free and wild, very Phoebe-like. She’s embarrassed at first but then she tries it and likes it.

Chandler cleans the whole apartment but then freaks out when Ross tells him that Monica will kill him if he doesn’t put everything right.

8 - The one with Ross' teeth

Chandler tells Joey to be careful or Janine will turn the place into a girl’s place. Joey talks to Janine, then it turns out he likes a lot of that stuff, and Chandler yells at him when he sees him arranging flowers.

Apparently it’s a year already since Rachel got the Ralph Lauren job. Phoebe goes there to make some copies and she says she kissed Ralph Lauren himself, while it turns out it was Kenny the copy guy. To talk to her boss, Rachel gossiped about it already though, so now her boss thinks she did it (because Phoebe used her key card to enter of course). Eventually she tells her boss that Ralph Lauren dumped her.

Ross whitened his teeth, it’s so creepy. He did it for the date he had that night, but it was a very bad idea.

9 - The one where Ross got high

Monica’s parents are coming over, but she hasn’t yet told them that they were even dating, because they don’t like him.

It’s thanksgiving, and it turns out they don’t like him because once when Ross smoked some pot he said it was Chandler.

Joey and Chandler have to be there and eat there, but can’t wait to get out and go to the dancers party.

This is the ep when Chandler says he’s paying for Joey’s acting classes, when Joey teaches the others how to pretend they like her dessert (she messed it up and there’s nothing else). Joey is the only one who likes it.

When Ross and Monica confess all their stuff to their parents, they suddenly change their minds about Chandler and are happy he’s with Monica.

10 - The one with the routine

It’s Christmas, and everybody helps decorate Monica’s tree, but then Monica turns it around so only her part shows.

Janine gets to dance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s rockin’ eve, which is a big deal for Monica and Ross, and they go too. They try everything to get on camera, and they do the ‘routine’, a dance they did in school together. While they’re there, the girls search Monica’s place in search of their presents. At first Chandler is against it, but they convince him.

Joey really likes Janine now. When they get back home, she kisses him.

When they finally found the gifts, Chandler stops them from opening them, but then Monica comes home and thinks they did. Chandler is not happy with his gift.

11 - The one with the apothecary table

Joey and Chandler go on a double date, but it turns out Janine doesn’t like them. So next day Joey tells them she’s sick, then she tells them she had to go out, so the truth comes out. They go on another date and Janine is all nice to them, but as soon as she enters her house she comes clean and Monica hears her. They fight and Joey says they can’t work together if she can’t get along with his friends, then the girls fight so Joey breaks up with her.

Rachel buys a table from Pottery Barn, but she tells Phoebe she got an antique at the flea market because Phoebe hates mass-produced stuff. Ross got the same table. Rachel then gets lots more stuff and tells Phoebe fake stories about every piece. Then they see a Pottery Barn store so Rachel has to confess.

12 - The one with the joke

Joey doesn’t have tv anymore because he didn’t pay the bill. He has no phone either. Joey works at the Central Perk to make some money. He closes the place off for an hour to get to an audition. He doesn’t get the part and gets fire at the coffeehouse, but Rachel stands up for him and Gunther hires him back.

Playboy printed a joke that Ross said he made up and sent to it, but Chandler said he made it up and they fight about it. They keep fighting until Monica tells them that it sucks and it’s very offensive.

Monica is upset because when she asked ‘who would you date between us?’ Rachel diplomatically said ‘I don’t know’, but Phoebe foolishly said ‘Rachel’. Phoebe says it’s because Monica is high-maintenance while Rachel is easier, basically she’s a pushover. They tell her that she’s flaky, but she has no problem with it. Monica forces Chandler to say she is not high-maintenance. Then he has to tell her that she is, but that it’s ok because he likes to maintain her and they’re okay again. (How sweet ^_^)

13 - The one with Rachel's sister

Monica is upset because she’s sick and she can’t admit it.

Rachel’s sister Jill comes to visit. Her dad cut her off so she has to learn to make it on her own like Rachel, but she immediately goes out shopping.

Joey gives free food to pretty girls and Gunther charges him for that (obviously) so Joey pretends that it’s their birthday.

Rachel wanted to stop Jill and Ross from ever going out, but she inadvertently convinces her to ask him out. So they go out and she hates that.

14 - The one where Chandler can't cry

Nothing happened between Ross and Jill but before they go out a second time Rachel freaks out and tells him that it’s too weird to bear. Ross cancels the date and Jill gets mad at Rachel for it. Jill tries hitting on Ross to get back at Rachel, then Ross stops it because then he would never again have a chance with Rachel (quite right there, mister).

Monica and Phoebe cry at the end of the movie ET and talk about crying over Bambi, which Joey also found sad, but Chandler never cries over movies. He just doesn’t cry, but the others think it’s not okay, that he’s dead inside. Then he cries about Ross and Rachel (apparently he was really crying, he was so bad I thought he was pretending, but that was supposed to be real… )

A guy asks for Phoebe’s autograph and tells Joey he’s seen all her porn movies (Gunther apparently has seen them too). Joey and Ross bring home one of her movies to show the others. They watch it and realise that it’s Ursula from a tattoo on her ankle.

Phoebe is upset Ursula is using her name, so she picked up all her checks.

15 - The one that could have been

Since Barry and Mindy are getting a divorce, they start thinking about how their lives would be different if Rachel had married Barry, if Ross never got divorced, if Monica was still fat, if Joey never got fired from Days of our lives, if Chandler had quitted his job and was trying to make money by writing jokes, and if Phoebe had taken that job as a stock broker.

So:

Chandler has no money so he starts working as Joey’s assistant, Rachel is a fan of star Joey, and wants to cheat on her husband by having sex with Joey, Phoebe smokes and is very stressed and has a heart attack, so she loses her job because she’s in the hospital.

Monica has a boring boyfriend (well, they were a little bit unfair there, poor guy, they didn’t really give him a chance). Ross is not having sex with Carol so he talks about trying new things and Carol loves the idea of a threesome.

Monica is still a virgin, waiting for the perfect guy.

16 - The one that could have been

(they changed the opening credits with pictures of these new characters… I didn’t notice if they did it in the last ep too)

Carol has a lot of women’s name to suggest for their threesome. When the girl arrives, the girls only have eyes for each other.

Rachel drinks a lot while at Joey’s apartment, then they kiss, then she throws up and falls asleep. She feels guilty about almost cheating on her husband, but then she goes home and finds Barry with another woman.

Monica’s boyfriend works at the hospital, so he often gets called away. Monica feels bad about dying a virgin, so she talks about it with Chandler and they kind of decide to do it and they like it a lot. The next day Monica is still going out with her Dr Roger, but Chandler wants her for himself and they start going out.

Nobody told Phoebe she got fired, so it’s quite awkward when she runs out of hospital and to work, and then she has another heart attack. Then she starts singing at the coffeehouse.

17 - The one with Unagi

Phoebe and Rachel go to self-defence class. Ross starts talking about unagi, (the state of total awareness) so he start trying to attack them.

Monica and Chandler promised to make each other their valentine’s present, and don’t know what to do. Chandler finds a mix-tape and gives it to her. Monica had nothing so she keeps doing amazing thing for him until they listen to the tape and it was actually done by Janice for Chandler.

Joey needs money so he wants to do medical research projects like he did once. There’s nothing at the moment but a twin project so he tries to hire a man to play the part of his twin (Joey got dumber and dumber with each new season, didn’t he?)

18 - The one where Ross dates a student

Joey asks Chandler to call a woman he hasn’t seen in ten years to get him an audition. Chandler calls her and takes her out for coffee and then for dinner, then she thinks he’s hitting on her so to apologising for letting him down she gives Joey and audition. Thursday arrives and Joey has to run because he forgot what day it was (well, he thought it was the third day, after all. We don’t know if he made it or not though, the ep ends with him running out of the apartment after Chandler asks how the audition went…)

There was a fire at Phoebe and Rachel’s place. Phoebe thinks it’s her fault because she loves candles. Rachel stays with Monica and Phoebe with Joey. Then it turns out it was a hair straightener so it was Rachel’s fault and they exchange places. After a little while, they both want to stay with Joey.

Ross, now a professor, has a girl sort of hitting on him. He goes out with her and likes this Elisabeth a lot. It turns out that dating a student is against the rules (duh!). She finds the situation hot, though, so they stay together.

19 - The one with Joey's fridge

Rachel has to go to a charity seen and needs a date, so they try to find her a guy. Both Phoebe and Monica found someone. She found one herself, but they scared him away. Now she’s forced to talk to their guys, Eldad and Patrick, together, while she’s at the coffeehouse. Of course, she storms out alone.

Joey’s fridge broke down so he tries demanding the money from Rachel and then from Chandler (the guy who did not want charity…) and then he tries it with Ross too.

Ross thought Elizabeth wanted to go on a trip with him, but she was only telling him she was going on vacation for a while. He’s worried about Spring Break, though, when girls go wild apparently. She says she only wants to relax and have fun with her friends, but when Ross sees that they are a bunch of guys, he goes there himself.

20 - The one with Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E.

Joey has an audition for a new tv show, Mac and Cheese, and if he gets it he’ll be the star of the show. He wonders if he’s good enough, so we have a flashback of some past parts (luckily not all of them) then he has a callback and we get a flashback of the other friends suffering pressure at their own jobs. While at his apartment, Chandler takes a call changing the date of the next audition but doesn’t leave a message so Joey misses it.

Joey has another chance at the part, and again Chandler takes the message and writes it down, and this time Joey goes and gets the part.

We get many more flashbacks in this episode, I guess they had not enough story plot to fill the whole 20 minutes…

21 - The one where Ross meets Elizabeth's dad

Elizabeth’s dad wants to meet Ross. Paul does not like him. The guys try to help him by talking good about him. Rachel ends up making out with Paul. She does try to talk well about him, and the only thing he gets is a “you’re not all bad” , and then things go down again when his three marriages come up.

Joey doesn’t get along with the guy that made and controls the robot in his show. Probably because Joey didn’t appreciate it at all when he first saw it. He wanted to get the guy fired, but it’s the other way around, the guy could get him fired, because there’s only one robot. He almost gets fired, but then he gets his job back when he teaches the robot guy who to talk to women.

22 - The one where Paul's the man

Paul catches Ross making fun of him with his friends and gets mad at him and doesn’t want him to see Elizabeth again, or he’ll tell the university. So they plan to hide their relationship, only they went to the same family house at the same time. The girls try to help him, then while hiding Ross sees Paul put on a little show of encouragement for himself in front of the mirror, so when he’s found out he has material against him.

Phoebe takes the girls to a museum and it’s in a beautiful place that is also used for weddings, and has a two years waiting list, so they all put their names on the list. Chandler is home when they call about it and he freaks out. Then Monica freaks out and they make peace when he finally comes back home, pretending to still be freaked out while he’s actually planning on asking her to marry him, and only Phoebe knows.

Joey wants his picture on the wall of some dry cleaners, that got it down after he was fired from Days of Our Lives. Quite annoying since his show still wasn’t on tv.

23 - The one with the ring

Rachel would like for Paul to open up a little. She tries hard, but when he starts he doesn’t stop. So she dumps him.

Phoebe is the only one Chandler can talk to about the marriage and the ring. He finds the perfect one and Phoebe is supposed to guard it, but she gets distracted by all the jewels and the musket and they sell the ring. He buys another ring, but then he goes with Phoebe to where the guy went to propose so Chandler and Phoebe pretends she’s dying and really wants that ring so they trade rings (people, never do that, never, ok?)

Chandler tells all the others that he’s going to propose ( I don’t like that everyone knows before Monica, it’s not nice, she should be the first to know so then she can tell everyone :/)

24 - The one with the proposal

Ross is still going out with Elizabeth, even if she’s 12 years younger than him. He says she’s very mature, but he walks in on her having a water fight with all her friends. He breaks up with her.

Chandler has a whole romantic dinner planned so he can have the perfect proposal. They go out to dinner, but then Richard walks in with a date. They end up having dinner all together. It ruins Chandler’s evening of course, and he doesn’t ask. Then Joey and Phoebe and Rachel ask to see her hand when they come back so he thinks it won’t be a surprise anymore so he has another plan, to make her think that marriage is the last thing on his mind. He goes way too far, of course, because this is all such a stupid plan how could it not go bad?!?

In the meantime, Richard goes to tell Monica that he still loves her.

Rachel takes Phoebe and Joey to a silent auction. Joey thought it was a game of guessing the right price, so he bid on a boat.

25 - The one with the proposal

Richard tells Monica he loves her, wants to marry her and have children with her. He’s years too late though. And Chandler keeps telling her that he will never get married, even calls her man-trap, so she storms out. Following the plan Joey tells her Chandler will never want to get married, so she tells him about Richard, and Joey tells Chandler, so Chandler starts running around searching for her.

Monica goes to Richard, and she only talks about Chandler. Then Chandler goes to Richard searching for her but she’s not there anymore. When Chandler runs back home, Joey tells him she left, (and this is when Joey really acts well, and when Chandler’s crying is believable). Monica is inside, the apartment full of candles, and she tries to propose but keeps crying, so he does it. He proposes, she says yes, they kiss, then all the friends come in to congratulate them (all but Ross, but he knows how it is). The ep ends with Monica and Chandler dancing together, lovely.

Phoebe tells Rachel she has a backup, if they’re not married before 40 she’ll marry Joey, but she made the same deal with Ross. So they each take one, Ross is Rachel’s backup, Joey is Phoebe’s.

The whole episode Joey is dressed as a boat captain, because he likes his boat…
