Hermione is worried about Muggles families being killed so she obliviates her parents. Her image disappears from all pictures. The Dursleys leave their home. Hermione leaves hers.
Voldemort dines with all his death eaters plus a dying woman hovering over it. Having the twin wand of Harry’s, Voldemort needs another one to kill him, so he takes Lucius’ wand. Poor professor Burbage of Muggle studies, Voldemort kills her with that wand. Draco’s face is a mix between wanting to cry and feeling sick, Lucius is a trembling, cowering man, the shadow of who he was.
Harry packs, takes a last look at his cupboard then Hagrid arrives with Ron and Hermione. There’s also Moody, Arthur, Kingsley, Fred and George, Bill and Fleur, Lupin and Tonks, now married. Also Mundungus. Half of them take polijuice and look like lots of Harrys, while the others stay close as protectors. They fly but are attacked by death eaters.
Hedwig gets AKed saving him. They all reach Molly but George has been injured and Moody is dead, Mundungus disapparated away.
Harry tries to sneak away, but Ron tells him Moody died, not for HIM, but for the cause, and that they wouldn’t last two days without Hermione.
The Minister comes to give Ron a deluminator, to Hermione a copy of the Tales of Beedle the Bard, to Harry the first snitch he ever caught, all left to them by Dumbledore. He also left Harry the Sword of Gryffindor but it’s missing and nobody’s property.
It’s Bill and Fleur’s wedding. Harry speaks to Doge, learning for the first time Dumbledore had a brother.
The Ministry has fallen, the wedding is attacked, our trio apparates away. Hermione has all their stuff in her little bag.
They go to Grimmauld Place, Ron finds out Regulus is RAB, Kreacher says he tried hard to destroy the locket but Mundungus got it, along with many other things.
The new Minister, after the other died, works for Voldemort. Umbridge is at his side.
Snatchers roam the streets looking for Harry. Mundungus tells them Umbridge has the locket now. They take the place of three ministry employee and go in. The ministry is now persecuting muggleborns. They save one, stun Umbridge, take the locket and escape. They apparate away, Ron gets splinched but Hermione has dittany in her bag. They sleep in a tent and try a lot to destroy the locket but no spell works. Harry wears it. He also keeps having visions of Voldemort wanting something from Ollivander and Gregorovich. They walk a lot, Hermione realises the sword could destroy the horcrux, and because of that horcrux on Ron’s neck the boys have a nasty word-fight and he leaves. Harry dances with Hermione to cheer her up.
They go to Godric’s Hollow. Hermione finds a symbol drawn on the Beedle’s book, the same Luna’s father had on him, the same she sees on Ignotus Peverell’s grave. They talk to Bathilda Bagshot but have to escape when she turns out to be the snake Nagini.
Harry’s wand got broken. In a vision, he saw Grindelwald steal a wand from Gregorovich. At night, Harry follows a patronus to a frozen lake. There’s the sword at its bottom, so Harry undresses and goes in to take it. The locket almost kills him but Ron saves him and gets the sword. They destroy the locket and Ron says “only three to go”… (well, shouldn’t he say 4? 3 are destroyed so 4 more to make 7, isn’t that the number Tom wanted? How can they know they have to find 3???)
The Deluminator told Ron where to find them. Ron gives Harry a wand he took off a snatcher. They go to see Mr Lovegood and hear about the Deathly Hallows, the story of the three brothers: one got the elder wand, killed a man, bragged about being invincible and got his throat sliced while he was sleeping by someone who took the wand. The second brother recalled from death the girl he loved, but she wasn’t alive and didn’t belong here, he became mad and killed himself. The third one was never found by death until he was too old and gave the cloak to his son. The three hallows together make the master of death.
After that, he tries to keep them inside because the bad guys took his Luna, and as soon as he says Voldemort’s name they arrive. The trio apparates away but snatchers are there to chase them.
Voldemort asked Grindelwald too and was told Dumbledore has the wand.
The trio is caught, Hermione alters Harry’s face and they’re brought to the Manor; Bellatrix calls Draco to identify him. Draco looks at him and recognises him but says that he’s not sure.
Bellatrix sees the sword and wants to ‘speak’ with Hermione.
Hermione screams a lot, poor girl.
The boys see Ollivander and Luna in the cellars, then Dobby takes them away - It was actually one of the best scenes when Harry, shocked, asks Dobby if he can really go in and out of that cell with them, and he replies very matter-of-factly that “Of course. I’m an elf” :) Nobody ever thinks of the elves, not even Hermione.
Dobby helps them out, but Bellatrix kills him. They escape but Dobby dies in Harry’s arms. Harry took the two wands in Draco’s hands.
The elder wand is buried with Dumbledore and Voldemort takes it.
Before Dobby arrived, Bellatrix sees Harry’s face and says “call him” but Draco doesn’t want to. Lucius is about to do it when Dobby drops the chandelier. So they have both Bellatrix and Narcissa’s wands plus how many did he get from Draco’s hands? Two?
