We see that Richard Parker was trying to destroy all his research before he fled with his wife and was killed, but before dying he managed to upload something.
People are trying to steal plutonium so Peter arrives late for graduation. Stan Lee is in the crowd while waiting for Peter to show up.
Peter publicly kisses Gwen right there.
Peter is in a crisis again, sees Capt. Stacy everywhere reminding him of his promise, and Gwen tries to reason with him but in the end is tired of all this and breaks up with him…(off again on again…)
Norman is dying and has no relationship with his son Harry, and before dying he tells him they both have a genetic disease, the Osborn curse, and has tried to cure it and failed, but maybe his son will manage to live. Peter knew Harry before he was sent to boarding school eight years ago. They talk again now.
Max worked at Oscorp and is obsessed with Spider-Man after he saved his life. He gets into an electrical accident and they think he died. He didn’t. He charged instead.
Spiderman tries to stop Max, but when the police shot him, he starts thinking that Spiderman set him up and becomes hostile.
Gwen reaches out to Peter to try to be friends… then tells him she’s moving to England with a scholarship to Oxford… quite probably.
Harry finds videos of Richard Parker’s research on spiders that should cure people, guesses that Spiderman got bitten by one of them and survived, and now wants his blood to cure himself.
Gwen researches Max’s name at Oscorp, but now security is looking for her. She met him once, he was an electrical engineer who loved Spiderman.
Spiderman shows up at Harry’s place to tell him he can’t help him.
Some people are trying to study Max. The Board blames all Oscorp’s cover ups on Harry and has him fired. Harry frees Electro and finds the spider-venom they kept at Oscorp and has it injected in himself.
Peter finds a super-secret train full of Richard Parker’s tools and research. He refused to have his research used as a weapon, and Harry learns something important: Richard put his own DNA in the spiders, so without him, or Peter, those experiments are nothing.
Gwen gets accepted for Oxford and Peter tells her he chooses her and wants to follow her everywhere and fight crime in England.
Electro causes a total blackout, then he plays pinball using Spiderman as the ball.
Gwen drives there to help him, she’s smarter than him. Together they make Electro explode by charging him into overload like a big battery, then Green Goblin arrives, Spiderman wins the battle but… Gwen dies, Peter was too late.
Harry is in jail now. Spiderman has disappeared and Harry is putting together a band of supercriminals with the help of a man who visits him in his cell.
After a speech by May and watching the old graduation speech Gwen made, Peter takes back his costume.
A big bad guy with a rhino armour is on the street, a little kid dressed up like Spiderman tries to stop him, when real Spiderman arrives, and the bad guy is kind enough to wait while they talk, and then the movie ends in the middle of their battle.
