A Polish movie. I didn’t like it, honestly, it’s the story, it doesn’t go anywhere. And they probably knew it too because there are totally needless nude scenes to attract that kind of viewers.
So, there’s Jakub who once loved a Natalia, deaf, and he wanted her to have an operation so she could hear again, but like two days before that she died while playing with a deaf child, they didn’t hear the digger and it caught her in the head. We see him taking a man to a hospital but I’m not sure who he is. We learn that ten years ago he collected money for a friend’s daughter who had leukemia , and that he once took drugs and the friend that did it with him is now dead.
About Ewa, we know that she is in a relationship; she doesn’t find it much rewarding, but she does have a partner and he doesn’t even seem like a bad guy, he seems totally ok.
They talk on the internet, exchanging emails, they don’t even seem to talk a lot, just sending a few comments here and there, and yet they act like it’s something big and super meaningful. They want to meet so they plan to both catch a plane to Paris, but he can’t make it and has to take a different one and can’t warn her in time, so she sees that his plane crashed and everybody on it died, and for a few moments she thinks he died too, she cries but then he finds her and they meet. They kiss, drink something, walk around Paris, have sex, then she goes back home, her partner is there to get her. but they have a little accident.
Jakub keeps writing to her but she doesn’t reply. She finds out she’s pregnant, six weeks in, it’s not Jakub’s, so she can’t keep up with that affair.
She writes I’ll be happy only when you’ll forgive me and forget me… but Jakub is there, come to find her. He can see that she saw him but she goes away. He reads her email at a train station, it’s not clear, it looks like he’s suicidal then he hugs a man who gives him a drink while the train passes… maybe to resist the idea of throwing himself under it? Not sure of anything here.
Later she goes to a conference when he’s speaking and they see each other and they smile at each other… and that’s that.
